We booked from the pictures online. We camped on the lake for $45 per night for four nights in our…read more26 foot camper. Campground is very run down. It is 95% seasonals including many mobile homes. Owners are never around and seldom is anyone in or at the office. Upon checking out, they never asked how our stay was. The sites are all sand like a beach. In fact, there was more sand at our sites than at the beach which is very small. The lake is cute but when you're in the north woods, that's not hard to find. The shoreline (grass area) hasn't been mowed in weeks. The bathroom was disgusting- moldy and mildewy with mice and all. Yet you have to pay for showers? We showered in our camper and avoided the bathroom. Never once did we see anyone come clean it either. Quiet hour- no such thing here. People get loud after 10 and nobody cares.

MUCH more crowded MUCH closer to neighbors MUCH more expensive MUCH to many large trees with canopies that shade the sites AND provide ample amounts of tree sap on everything. WAY to many people making way to much noise without regard for neighbors. WAY to many people on a site. Rarely did anyone express a "hello" or any common civility. Camping sure isn't what it used to be..!

If you want Peace and Quiet and Serene atmosphere "DON'T COME TO INDIAN SHORES" An Airstrip so close the planes are coming and going into the dark. Very Expensive and No Dump station. Lots of Improvements needed!!! Over 250 sites. DONE. DONE. DONE

You couldn't even sit in it for fear of what you may be sitting on. The outside of the camper was just as disgusting. I guess it never occurred to the campground owners to power wash it. I spent at least two hours cleaning and disinfecting the camper that we were told was new. Lies. If I was on this trip alone, I would have left immediately. Reluctantly I paid my bill - almost $200 a night! I still feel like disputing with my charge card company because we were lied to and taken advantage of. Not sure how they live with themselves renting this camper to people. When I went to the office to complain, they had the nerve to tell me it was cleaned. I am not an idiot.

The camp map needs a lot to be desired since the sited are placed among the trees. We stayed three nights and should have stayed longer. Boulder Junction 10 miles away and Walmart 17 miles away. BJ is a long ride on a half day rental, so maybe just think about stopping half way and stopping by the rest area on the lake. They also offer canoes and rafts. In town they have a self serve e-bike stand, which is owned by this place but sometimes bikes are all gone

With the new ownership of this campground, they appear to be going above and beyond to be sure their campground is updated. We chose this campground in 2015 and are so pleased that we did. The host is easy to work with but assures that all the campers are treated well and the owner continues to improve the campground. We love having the entire Chain O'Lakes at our disposal. The golf course is just down the road, so when we have guests they an golf also. Several of their docks are new and improved. Also, having the Tiki Bar so close offers food and a fun place to hang out if you just need something different. It was absolutely the right choice for us.

We opted to Moveto a full hookup sore which is further from the lake. The sites by the lake only have water and electric and we would've had to unhook and visit the dump station unfortunately so a full hook up site was way more convenient. We were insight 62 which is nice because it has a large grassy area. We paid $70/nite- I know they have better rates for longer stays We did have a picnic table and a fire pit and had a little bit of time to sit outside and enjoy it There is a really nice camp store and they do have some frozen items for warm-up along with s'mores and toys and shirts, and such Out in front of the office in store is a Beautiful lakefront area- they have Adirondack chairs sit here so you can avoid the views as well as as a beach with a swimming area although they do have assigned warning you that swimmers itch may be present- I had to look that one up since we're not from around here They also had a really nice basketball court and a bounce pad for the kids. This is definitely a family campground and many families were having gatherings while we were there. While I don't have any complaints for the campground. I will say that for all six nights we were here, not many people adhered to the quiet hours policy. We just turned the overhead fan on to douse out the noise as we didn't feel like disrupting anyone's family parties, but just be prepared for that. We did not use the laundry facilities or shower houses

Setting nice with grass and natural forest. Bathhouse with individual shower and toilet set up, then common sink and laundry facility. Very cute decor and useful set up We also rented their pontoon (kayaks and bikes also available) for 7 hours. We were able to go all up and down the chain of lakes. Restaurants and bars open all the way but mostly beautiful outdoors. Definitely recommend this place.

We just happen to get #20. Uneven, no where to put your things out. To make matters worse, both sites you had to walk to your fire pit. How tacky. You could hear all conversations around you. I don't get how this campground was rated a 4.9 out of 5.0. They call it peaceful pines, there is NO peace. The boat launch is right there. Noisy from sunrise to sunset. If that didn't get to you, there is a major road with a lot of noisy traffic. We watched two sites across the way become vacant the day before we left. Check out 10 sharp, but I never saw anyone come out to the sites to check if it was ready for the next campers. Don't you think it could have been cleaned, maybe raked, something. Now the owners were pleasant, but man you talk about noise, from drilling, sawing, banging. I understand they have to work around the campground, but could the majority of the work wait until mid to late fall? We called before coming to find out if there was a place to take our dog to the water. Was told "Oh yes"! Down by the boat landing, take a right (risk your life with tree limbs). There is NO PLACE to take your dog. No beaches allow dogs. They tend to cater to the seasonal people and their cabins. It's sad that our first time will be our last time.
