We just happen to get #20. Uneven, no where to put your things out. To make matters worse, both sites you had to walk to your fire pit. How tacky. You could hear all conversations around you. I don't get how this campground was rated a 4.9 out of 5.0. They call it peaceful pines, there is NO peace. The boat launch is right there. Noisy from sunrise to sunset. If that didn't get to you, there is a major road with a lot of noisy traffic. We watched two sites across the way become vacant the day before we left. Check out 10 sharp, but I never saw anyone come out to the sites to check if it was ready for the next campers. Don't you think it could have been cleaned, maybe raked, something. Now the owners were pleasant, but man you talk about noise, from drilling, sawing, banging. I understand they have to work around the campground, but could the majority of the work wait until mid to late fall? We called before coming to find out if there was a place to take our dog to the water. Was told "Oh yes"! Down by the boat landing, take a right (risk your life with tree limbs). There is NO PLACE to take your dog. No beaches allow dogs. They tend to cater to the seasonal people and their cabins. It's sad that our first time will be our last time. Who needs a pool when you're basically across the boat launch parking lot from Eagle Lake? The staff was beyond friendly and the self service model for wood and ice with Venmo and cash options was great. It was a smaller campground but had everything you truly needed, plus the option of renting one of their two pontoons. As much as is possible with a boat, it came with white glove service. They put it in the water for you and when you were done at the end of the day you gave them a call and they came and loaded it back up. Matt was awesome and gave some recommendations for spots to stop while out on the water. It couldn't have been an easier way to explore the Eagle River chain. We would definitely stay again and play try out their small cabin options at some point.

MUCH more crowded MUCH closer to neighbors MUCH more expensive MUCH to many large trees with canopies that shade the sites AND provide ample amounts of tree sap on everything. WAY to many people making way to much noise without regard for neighbors. WAY to many people on a site. Rarely did anyone express a "hello" or any common civility. Camping sure isn't what it used to be..!

We wanted a campground and to be around other campers but this is mostly a trailer park and most of the people seemingly live there. This was our second year staying here, and unfortunately we were pretty disappointed this time. We…read morestayed in Cabins 4 and 5, which are the more expensive, higher-end cabins. My family and I aren't high-maintenance campers. We've done everything from tent camping to staying in luxury cabins, so we understand that camping comes with a few inconveniences. That said, at nearly $1,300 per cabin for the week, we expected a better experience. The first issue was the power. Cabin 4 had no electricity when we arrived. There is essentially no cell service here--which isn't a complaint, just something to be aware of--so once we found a signal, we called for assistance. A young employee, who looked to be around 16 years old, came out but wasn't able to fix the problem. Eventually an adult arrived, and the power was restored well enough to work, but it wasn't until nearly 9:00 p.m. We had checked in around 11:00 a.m., so we went almost the entire day without electricity. The next issue was the hot water. Neither cabin had reliable hot water, and in Cabin 4 the shower and sink water had a strong sulfur smell. After a long day outside, a clean, hot shower is something we expected. We also arrived early, which I fully understand is outside normal check-in expectations. We were simply trying to beat the heat, so we waited on the porch while the cabin was cleaned. During that time, we noticed the sheets were changed, but the blankets were not. The staff brought in clean sheets, but no fresh blankets. Another disappointment was the condition of the outdoor areas. I realize that once we check in, keeping the deck tidy is our responsibility. However, upon arrival both decks needed to be swept before we could comfortably use them. More concerning was the beach. It was covered in goose droppings, and there didn't appear to be anyone maintaining the grounds. At many campgrounds, there's a groundskeeper or manager who helps keep common areas clean and safe, especially places where children play. We ended up filling about half a garbage bag with goose droppings ourselves so the kids could enjoy the beach. Finally, there were almost no cleaning supplies provided in the cabins. Since we were staying for a full week, it would have been nice to have basic supplies such as an all-purpose cleaner, toilet bowl cleaner, and a plunger available. We really enjoyed our stay here last year, which is why this visit was so disappointing. This property has a lot of potential and is in a beautiful location, but for the price being charged, we expected the cabins to be better maintained and the overall experience to match the premium cost.

Upon walking in we were met with an incredibly moldy smell. I decided to open up every window and get it aired out. The windowsills were resting places for dead bugs and almost every screen had multiple holes covered by duct tape. While I was opening windows, my friend used the bathroom and exclaimed out loud as she nearly fell off the loosely mounted, slanted toilet. As we walked throughout the cabin, we noticed the floor was unstable and uneven in many places with a level change to the bedroom and a number of soft spots in the subfloor. It was unsettling. That night neither of us slept a wink. It probably didn't help that we needed to kill a dozen spiders in the bathroom and bedroom before retiring for the evening. Both of us grew up in very modest households, frequently camping and "roughing it", but this experience wasn't charming or rustic, it was filthy and neglected. We could go on but will simply list the following concerns: - Horrible odor - Bath towel that smelled of mildew - Window screens were ripped and duct taped - Spiders/cobwebs in the bathroom and bedroom - Unclean and unstable toilet - Uncomfortably old and flat pillows - Dirty comforter and decorative pillow covers - Rusted porch door with a 2 inch gap practically inviting mosquitoes inside - Numerous holes in the ceiling and walls plugged with tissues and rags - Splatter on the coffee pot - Ceiling-wide chains, presumably holding up the side walls - Laminate ceiling panel falling off - Dirty towels plugging gap around AC unit We decided to quickly leave the next morning, two days before our scheduled departure. As we headed into town to shake the cobwebs out of our hair, we went to a few local haunts to pick up breakfast and other knickknack items. While sharing our experience with locals, we learned that the owner has a reputation for taking money without providing clean or quality accommodations and that cabin guests would never return. Well, we are certainly among those who were dissatisfied and horrified.

He also said they don't actually have tent sites at all and had asked the owners to take the listings down but they refused. He walked us down to a grass field no where near a lake and said we could use that. On top of the $85 we paid using a shady camp registration app the manager had me also pay $5 for a park entrance fee. The field also had no picnic tables, pretty basic for a camp site. We started to put up the tent and realized the field is where the RV campers take their dogs to do their business. We called around to a few Lodges in the area and found one cancellation and booked the $160 room, packed our gear back into the car and left the dog poop field. Even for an RV only park it seemed pretty crowded, and they only had one shower working. There are a ton of campgrounds in the area and you are definitely better off at one of those.

Paid for a 50amp site but one leg of the 50amp pedistle was dead. He obviously knew about before he left on vacation and chose to not fix it before he left. Used 30amp for the 6 days there. No other site available that I would fit on and no other accommodation offered. Poorly maintained roads and trees - needed them cut back so they didn't scrape trailer as we left. Talked to a couple permanent campers and they said they were not coming back next year. Only good things were very quiet, scenic lake. Also had to pay a extra $5 to get a parking pass and they did not pick up your garbage. Had to take it yourself to the city's transfer station. We will not go back!

Reluctantly I paid my bill - almost $200 a night! I still feel like disputing with my charge card company because we were lied to and taken advantage of. The camp map needs a lot to be desired since the sited are placed among the trees. We stayed three nights and should have stayed longer. Boulder Junction 10 miles away and Walmart 17 miles away.
