Nelzon was recommended by a friend and I am so glad we were able to have his crew do the work on our Hollywood juniper. He was not in a rush to get the job done, like several others, and actually recommended we wait until winter so the tree would be in a dormant state. Sometime during the last few years businesses have gotten the idea that it's okay to ignore potential customers. For instance, they'll direct you to leave them a message and they promise to get back to you, but they never do. Or they actually make an appointment with you and then never show up. That's the case here. Last week we contacted Arborland to get an estimate for a tree removal. They made an appointment to come out several days later during a specific one hour window. We made certain to be home during that hour. They didn't show up, didn't call and we have not heard from them since. Yeah, we would give them ten stars, too. They have been coming here for years after another tree service did a bad job on the trees. Now they take care of our huge Valley Oaks, Cedars, and Bays. We've lived here for over 50 years, and they have never looked as good. The reason that I'm taking the time to write this review is they saved us last week. When the atmospheric river came through the Bay Area we had a huge mudslide into the creek. It has been a nightmare. We knew that the Bays nearest the creek would have to be taken out and it was heartbreaking. They came out to consult and said that they could be saved if they took some serious weight off them. I think that another tree company could have taken advantage of the situation. It seemed obvious to us that they couldn't be saved, but they thought of the trees and not how much money they could make.
