I will probably add more context soon. There were many happenings that occurred here. I would urge anyone considering this facility, to strongly reconsider. I only say this out of concern from the happenings/contacts we encountered. This isn't the choice for your family. There's favoritism, gaslighting, alleged violence and more. Anyone who has spent a significant amount of time in this building, has beared witness to this. Caretakers are overworked, underpaid, and are afraid to escalate issues with residents with extreme behavioral issues. We spent a considerable amount of time in this building. If you weren't a family member, you were made to feel as if you were in the way. You were disparaged, gaslighted, othered and threatened with being searched/barred from the property. We experienced days where our trash was never removed- during the summer. The rooms wouldn't cool down enough, there were flies and ants everywhere. It was horrific. No trash bags to tie up the biohazard properly. No escaping it. You're reamed as to how to put in work orders, only for them to never be fulfilled. We waited about 3.5 months, our request was ignored. It's a Snakepit. Amanda is the ringleader and enabler of the alleged happenings in this building. Everyone is walking around on eggshells with her. Her mask slips the second you question anything quality wise, especially with the care of your family member. Some medtechs are unprofessional. Yadira by name, would spend 30 minutes - 1 hr or longer, stepping away from her job- gossiping to an outside agency, about her job, the workload, and other outside staff. Call lights are to be answered within at least 7 minutes. Ours was intentionally ignored for 30 minutes. We followed the direction from Yadira to pull the cord if we needed help. Help never came. Medtechs can and will walk out at random due to being overwhelmed. It was a struggle to have someone consistent with timing or responding to relatively urgent requests for medications. The Caretakers are wonderful, but there are a few that only care about a check. It has been reported that some are allegedly smoking marijuana on the property. It was ignored. This will be reported/has been reported to the state. We *allegedly* witnessed residents who went AWOL, became violent towards other residents and staff, intentional neglect of specific residents, etc. You can't advocate for anyone without facing backlash, or further "othering". It's almost as if you're on the set of Mean Girls and Great Value Greys Anatomy. It's a facade. Spend more time in this building, and you will see everything. The 5 star reviews are more likely than not, from people who haven't spent more than maybe 2 hours in a common area. Give it time. Meals are lacking, and often look like rations. There were nights where they may give you a watery soup with a half burrito the size for a child. Also, not cutting up choking hazards unless specifically requested. We *allegedly* witnessed more than one choking incident. This concern or statement doesn't come out of nowhere. These are observations. The smells of old urine saturated hallways, the favoritism for "newer" residents. It's all performative. Money is the bottom line. I don't need a generic response from Arbors. We raised our concerns for months to no avail. The same will happen to you, the more you advocate for your family or acknowledge shortcomings, or safety/quality concerns. read more

This review is based on my original application for my husband to be in care temporarily while I did my own medical treatment and was not able to care for him at home. Without going into detail, I have to say the manager, Assad Zeid, at Arbors Memory Care, really bent over backwards to make it possible for us to afford this temporary care. I worked with him for several weeks to get everything lined up. I did pay the room hold deposit because this seemed like the perfect solution for us. The only reason my husband did not move here was because he was on oxygen and Arbors doesn't allow oxygen at night. This forced me to find a different location. When this happened I was given a refund of the room hold fee with no argument. Very helpful. Tom, the sales manager, even tried to help me find a different facility for my husband when the need for oxygen became a problem for moving to Arbors. I thought that was very helpful. Arbors is a beautiful facility run by very nice people who seem to care about helping us figure out how to navigate this difficult time in our lives. This is a long one, buckle up, it's worth the read* Our mother moved into The Arbors in 2024. I live out of state; my sibling lives in Reno. To get into your family member's room, you either have to have a key, knock on their door and hope they open it, or try to locate a staff member to let you in their room. Here begins the issues. Staff is minimal. You have to walk around to try and find someone to let you in your family member's room. Often I found all of the staff members clustered in a rm. talking. One day I got there right before the start of lunch. I sat at the table with Mom, waiting for her food. No one brought my Mom food. I got up, walked to the kitchen. I told them, "Mom didn't get her food." They were surprised. "X, didn't get her food?" No, I said,, I brought it back to her. While she was eating, I noticed another resident who had been placed in a chair and left alone. I noticed another resident who was at a table eating his food with his hands because he had no silverware. I looked back over at the lady who was trying to walk around on her own. I realized she was about to fall. I jumped up and caught her. My 2nd trip, mother had been placed into hospice care @ Arbors. 2 other family members flew at the same time, there were 3 of us, + my sibling. My mom's sister, retired cancer nurse. She came in, recognized mom's needs, and jumped in. She bought medical supplies & other things Mom needed, w her own money. She did this out of love for her sister. She talked to the staff, she told them what Mom needed, she asked if it was okay that she bought and changed Mom's bandages and took care of her bedsores. THEY SAID YES! Two days later, my two family members were called into the director's office. The director completely bitched them out because my aunt was helping my Mom so much. At some point, the director called my sister because she is the person listed on the paperwork, and my sister listened over the phone. While talking, my aunt was gesturing with her hands (as we all do). The director told my aunt, as she was talking, "I feel threatened!" (because of her hand gestures). My cousin got a shocked look on her face. The director looked at my cousin and said, "What is that look about?" Because I had an appointment of my own, I was not there for this conversation. But indeed, in separate conversations with my sister, aunt, and cousin, I was told the same things: HOW HORRIBLE and DEMEANING the director was! Now keep in mind, we have all flown in full well knowing Mom, who lives in memory care, is on hospice, and this could full well be our last days with her. We just wanted to help. My aunt just wanted to help and had asked staff if bandage changes, etc., were okay. THEY SAID YES. The director, however, told me that her staff all know it wasn't okay and quoted, "they would never say it's okay because we are a NON-MEDICAL FACILITY." I said to the director, " I am not here to talk about policies or regulations. I am here to talk about the way my cousin and aunt were treated." I told her, "You could have just as easily told them to please not change the bandages or apply bedsore cream WHILE still leaving my aunt and cousin feeling respected, loved, and appreciated." But that is NOT how my family left her office feeling. Indeed, my aunt...a nurse, cancer nurse of 40 years, a provider who has walked with families to the very end of life more times than can be counted, left the director of The Arbor's office in tears, feeling broken, devalued, and worthless. My aunt just wanted to be able to help and say goodbye to her sister in a way that was meaningful, healthy, and productive, in a way where she knew she could help. THAT EXPERIENCE WAS NOT GIVEN TO HER. I understand policies, rules, and regulations. However, the director has ZERO understanding of compassionate communication that leaves everyone feeling valued, understood, and respected, while still following policies. I mean, think about it, have you EVER heard of health care providers telling the family of a dying loved one that they CANNOT HELP?! She talked to my aunt and cousin as if they had been called into the principal's office. My aunt left in tears; they flew home that very day. The director said to me, "It's not my fault they decided to go home. Nothing could keep me from my sister!" To that I say...soooo we are supposed to just sit around and watch my mom suffer in situations where we know we can help? No, it's not her fault they flew out that night. But had she been more respectful...they would have stayed. I'm so mad that my family was dismissed, devalued, ignored. Mom won't remember all that happened. But we will. *EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US SHOULD BE ABLE TO SAY GOODBYE TO OUR LOVED ONE WITHOUT THE DIRECTOR MAKING US FEEL LIKE A WORM UNDER HER SHOE! My very sick younger brother was at this place for over 4 months. They are very expensive. I paid almost $5,000.00 a month. I am having an emergency, I needed their help & they outright refused to help him. Where he is staying cannot care for him. They are only a group home & my brother needs a memory care facility which is what the Arbor is. I pleaded with the executive director to just let my brother stay a while until I am able to move him to Tucson,AZ. ONLY A FEW DAYS!!! And he said NO! It's all about the money at this place! This place is very understaffed they need to pay their employees more so they will stick around. Also for the safety and well-being of people visiting and their employees they need to shovel their parking lot. I went in to see was they were hiring and the lady that sit right out side of the office, was sitting at her little desk was not pleasant, as I approached her I saw she was eating .. I said excuse me I'm so sorry to bother you , while you eating I want to know if you guys are hiring.cause I applied for the job twice and I see that you guys post it again so I decided to come up here. she stared at me like I was bothering her and said know No .. she didn't even say hi how are you nothing .. when she said No I gave her my Resume just in case they start hiring, to keep it on file. I said can you give it to the office manager .. she gave me this blank look She didn't say ok I make sure they get it or nothing ..So I knew right then it was going in the GARBAGE..you would of think she would of got up and ask the manager or had someone come talk to me but NOPE IT NEVER happened.. if you go there she have short hair she sits right out side the office and she not nice at all .. she look at me like I was trash .. it's been a Month no one call and said thanks for coming bye we received your Resume ..but we not hiring ..I HEARD NOTHING so I know she toss my Resume .. if she treat visitors like.,..Just image how they treat the elderly people there .. just SAD read more

My mom has been at Arbors Memory Care Community for nearly 3 years. I am very happy with how they take care of her. The staff are friendly and helpful and always willing to listen. They genuinely seem to care for the tenants. The facility itself, is beautiful with oval hallway structure so the tenants can walk freely around without coming to dead ends. They are able to go outside and walk around a very beautiful yard that is kept in good shape year round. The very high ceilings give a feeling of freedom and openness. There are cameras throughout the common area and outdoors so they can keep track of tenants and insure their safety. I would highly recommend this facility! read more
