    Roast beef

Not sure I can say anything that hasn't been said before about Arby's but I can try. Double sized roast beef combo for me and curly fries. Can't forget horsey and arby's sauce to complete my dining experience. Restaurant and restrooms were both very clean. The staff was willing to go above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied

    The bun on our sandwiches.

Today our order took unnecarry wait time and after getting home and sitting down to eat found that our sandwiches had burnt buns. Not just over brown, but black and crusty. It is sad that anyone that is suppose to be a qualified cook would put these on a sandwich. The other problem was the Manager and the way they run things. I was told to wait at the order kios to place my order. When the car at the window was done, someone came on and took my order. With the delay in taking the order, nothing could even begin preparation until I was at the Window which caused even a longer wait. The practice of delaying taking an order rather than take the order to provide time to prepare it while waiting to get to the window, usually about two or three cars is stupid management. Six months ago the manager was good at organization and customer relations. The product served at the Window was almost always good . Now it is barely fit to eat. Burnt buns, crispy over cooked fries and slow service.

Tried out Mugs Up in Independence, Missouri, and absolutely loved the old-school drive-in…read moreatmosphere. The carhops came right up to our window to take our order and were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The menu is surprisingly large for such a small place. We ordered the Wiz Burger, chicken nuggets, tots, onion rings, fries, and Brown Cow root beer floats. Prices were very reasonable, which was a nice bonus. One thing I really loved was the option to order their homemade root beer in an ice-cold glass mug (which you return when you're done). It definitely adds to the nostalgic experience. Our favorite items were the crispy tater tots, the chicken nuggets (which were more like mini chicken strips), and the root beer floats. The Wiz Burger was definitely unique, but it wasn't a crowd-pleaser in our car. It's made with loose meat mixed with onions, pickles, and cheese, which may appeal to some but wasn't our favorite. I'd definitely go back to try the chicken sandwich, pork tenderloin, or spicy buffalo dog. The food itself might be closer to 3 stars, but the unique throwback nostalgia of the carhop era bumps the overall experience into 4-star territory. It's a must-try-at-least-once kind of place.

On the quest to find the best burger in Kansas City, I tested Mugs-Up Rood Beer, and it honestly…read moredid quite well. Mugs-Up is a small burger spot with no seating inside and NO DRIVE THRU, which I find charming. It harkens back to the 50s when it was first opened and even has a neon sign that looks great at night. But the whole visit here was about the burger, and while they don't have bacon here, the burger was unique in that it wasn't a patty. They continued that uniqueness by using Velveeta instead of American cheese. Strangely enough though, it only added to this old burger joint's charm. This ground meat and Velveeta burger knows what it is and is happy with that. And while I didn't love their own in-house root beer, the fries were decent crinkle cut and the rest of the experience was good enough that I definitely see myself coming back again. First day of a new job Lunch!…read more New to this side of town and stopped in here for a little comfort of something I recognized. The Atmosphere - Well it was clean and tidy. Again there is little personality to most locations these days yet the functionality and the ability to clean quickly is at a premium. But, there is little about the restaurant that is comfortable or memorable. So this gets the standard 3 stars. The Staff - I had the good fortune to interact with several of the staff members this time. And ALL of them were extremely nice, kind, and friendly. They went out of their way to check on me several times and remind me that I could get a refill on my drink. They gall at the checkout even offered to bring me the desert that I had on rewards that was set to expire soon. Some of the best Customer Service I have seen in a while. - 5 stars. The Food - Well this is the number one reason to swing in. They have a number of great creations and options to pick more than one. They do let you customize a sandwich should you want. I think this is as good as it gets (unless you head to a "real" deli where YOU decide what is on the sandwich. This visit I had the Pick 2 (which is common) where I had a fantastic Club sandwich and a Chef salad. Pretty healthy over all. (I used extra dressing and ate brookie bites so scratch the healthiness). 4 stars Overall - This was a fantastic visit to an old favorite. The food could have just a little more wow... and by now you all know how I feel about the clean/institutional look and feel of eateries. A perfect lunch space. I'll be back often as they are good, healthyish, and close.

It's in a shopping centre so if you're a shopaholic you may overlook it, but it's a great place for lunch to get ready for an afternoon of shopping. Tommy and the Tastebuds Captain Tom
