Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon. Not busy. Young man who took our order was fine. Floor was sticky. Soda machine needs adjustment, soda is very flat and just syrup. Chicken was absolutely nothing special. It was hot but almost seemed like it had been cooked warmed and then dropped down to fry again. Fries were fine. Bread was fine. Did not try the coleslaw, scared it had set out for a long time. They charged us for every extra sauce however the other table in the establishment just walked up to the counter and got a bag of full of sauce for free. I hate when patrons are treated different. Last time we came here we waited at the counter for 15 min with people constantly telling us it would be a second. After 20 min we walked out. Well we tried again tonight. This is better than Raising Cain's in my opinion. It's hit or miss sometimes with the food being HOT to cool cold to the touch sometimes. I've had to return and ask for fresh fries or bread because they have given us food that definitely has been sitting out. Being inundated with commercials, I was kind of thrilled when I saw Xaxby's on Liberty 5k packet pick up. Their dining area was closed but I've not eaten inside many restaurants so no biggie. I ordered chicken fingers, fries and a drink. The drive through was fast and good was hot. I threw away the slaw cause it was a ride from Liberty to KC. The traditional wings and the tenders were fantastic. I loved the hot honey mustard sauce. The french fries weren't hot when I received them. When I was placing my order, the worker asked me if I wanted celery included in my order. I told the worker that I would like celery. However upon arrival of my meal, the celery was missing. Tried this place for the first time one late night driving back from the lake. I must say their sweet and spicy wings are FIRE! My s/o didn't care for his buffalo wings, however, he said they had a funny taste but that he enjoyed mine (the sweet and spicy flavor). When we pulled around and paid the guy at the window communicated they were cooking fresh chicken and it would be a few minutes. We were more than happy to wait for fresh food. We got our food went back to the hotel to eat and they gave us a coupon for free chicken on our next visit. The chicken was super moist and seasoned perfectly. It was like they poured the entire container onto the tenders and then served it to me on a plate. It made the chicken soggy and gross. The fries were nothing special your standard crinkle cuts that you could get from the frozen section at the grocery story and deep fry yourself. They offer onion rings, chips and cheddar bites. The chips and onion rings are not good. We got them and they are flavorless food chunks. Zaxby's has some good chicken. They have a simple menu with mostly chicken options. We got a Big Zax snack meal and the Kickin' chicken sandwich meal. The chicken strips were good in both meals. The sandwich had a lot of wing sauce on it, good, but a bit much. The Zax sauce was ok nothing special in my opinion, fries were ok too. The Texas toast was good, just wish it would have been crispier. We also got some cheese balls, with marinara. Cheese balls were good, but marinara was not hot and could have used ranch too. Definitely mediocre.They tasted like frozen ones out of a bag. They didn't seem particularly fresh, and the fries that accompanied them we're just mediocre also. I prefer the chicken fingers next door at Dairy Queen. The main dipping sauce, Zaxby's sauce, tastes kind of like a mixture between ketchup and thousand island. I'm not a fan. I came back to Zaxby's for a second try after not being terribly impressed the first time. I remembered that they had boneless wings and an assortment of various sauces for a decent price. On a rainy Saturday I went into Zaxby's and ordered the 10 piece boneless honey barbecue. What came to my table was a five piece boneless meal and some sort of Asian sauce. When I declared that this was not what I ordered and repeated what I ordered at the counter I was told it's what I paid for so it's what I'll eat. No apologies, no attempt to make a correction, no asking if they can get me anything else, they put the food on the table, told me it's what I paid for it's what I eat, and walked away. I ate the meal, which was decent, but not what I requested. This is especially true when you consider I did not want fries or Texas toast. No need to request a manager in my opinion because employees clearly are allowed to act this way. If they were not allowed to they would not! After giving it a second try I do not believe I will return to this restaurant again. read more

The last 3 times i have been to this location, the wait has been ungodly! I was in a drive through and there were 3 cars then me. I went ahead and ordered. 20 minutes later I pulled out of the line. Also, previously I had an issue with my meal. I order the exact same meal every time I go. Kickin Chicken sandwich meal. This time the sandwich was just wrong. When i complained to management, they just justified the incorrect sandwich. Ummm... Either this ONE sandwich was wrong, or all 30 that I've had over this last year was wrong.
