I chose the, NY Strip with two sides for $22. In addition to the dinner specials, they had Martinis for $5. That's an affordable meal, or a very budget friendly date. As my usual, dining a lone so I sat at the bar. I started out with a, Dirty Martini. I kinda knew I was going to order the NY Strip, but I still took a moment and looked over the menu. I mainly was studying what sides were available. I ordered my steak, medium rare and the kitchen nailed it. Typically I order a side house salad when eating at CHT, but tonight I paid an up-charge and enjoyed their Brussels Sprouts. My second side was a huge Baked Potato. It was so big, I took half of it home and had American Fries with my breakfast. For $22, it was a delicious meal. Being a busy Saturday night, the bartender did a good job taking care of the servers and guest sitting at the bar. We arrived around 1pm, apparently their peak but we were quickly seated. Though busy, noise levels were moderate and ambiance was typical of a family restaurant. We both had the country fried steak and biscuits, Karla with scrambled eggs and American fries, basically seasoned fries cut into cubes. She didn't care for the seasoning but she's admitted picky with a very low tolerance for spicy food. I had mine with traditional hash browns and eggs over easy. I've had better country fried steak but it was decent and the meal was otherwise great. Everything was served on one plate, just the way I like it, allowing me to mix things up with my hash browns and biscuits. The biscuits are served on the side of the plate, not topped with gravy in case you'd rather have butter and/or jelly on your biscuits, and they were hot and fluffy with good flavor. It was a very filling meal. The wait staff were great, friendly and responsive. We'll be sure to return to try other items from their impressive menu.

It came with two sides, the promo suggested, mashed potatoes with milk gravy and French style green beans. If you want to, they allow you to choose other sides off the menu. I don't know why somebody would want to, the sides they recommended makes for a Sunday Dinner feeling. The service is always great. All of the staff are friendly and the owner goes around talking to all his guest. I typically sit at the bar and I like that they have outlets and hooks under the bar. Outlets come in handy when you need a quick charge and the hooks for purses or a jacket. They offer live music of Friday and Saturday and the huge patio is dog friendly.
