Super impressed by Apple Spice!…read more I usually hate catered lunches because the sandwiches are all pre made with mayo, mustard, pickles, or other condiments I won't eat. Or the pickle is on the side, but the sandwich bread soaks up all the pickle juice - gross! We had a large lunch meeting today, and we all received a link a few days in advance to the Apple Spice menu. You Everett your name and email, and get to actually pick what you want to eat! They had a really large variety of sandwiches, salads, wraps, and even soups. The meals also come with a bag of chips and a cookie, and you can pick your additional side. I picked fresh fruit, but they also had a pasta salad option and a few other similar offerings. I was also able to customize my wrap to not include ranch (which would have been automatically on it if just standard pre-made), and I was able to deselect pickle so it wasn't even in my box. Though one of my coworkers got one and I noticed the pickle was wrapped in it's own little Ziploc, so it probably wouldn't have gotten all over everything. Everything in the box is a pretty standard size. I was full off half a wrap, which is normal for lunch. I also ate half my chocolate chunk cookie, which was really good! Like a nice soft batch cookie. One of my coworkers is gluten free, and she even said how nice it was that so many GF options were available. She generally can't even eat catered lunches! Overall very impressed, and would definitely recommend them to anyone needing to cater a lunch!

The lunch options are only served from 11-4. Besides coffee, they have wine, beer, pop, and kambucha. I got the masala chai, which was nice and not overly sweet. For meal I got the hippie ki yay, and I enjoyed that flatbread, it is vegan. The spinach dip is also good but different than what you'd expect. It is not too creamy and has a little tangy taste. But I liked that a lot, so I enjoyed it. The ambiance is lively and energetic. There's a lot of seating available, and different types including a massive couch. It is noisy in there with everyone talking, but I dont think its too bad if you want to study there. They do have a stage where they have bands perform, they also have trivia nights. I hope to check out one of the trivia nights. There is a decent size parking lot in the back. This parking lot was filled on a Tuesday night, so its definitely a spot to go and check out. This is one of the best places I have been to in GR! Highly recommend it!!

And the service was great. There is clearly something special going on here. People with heart, authenticity for something they love. I really like this place. It's a new favorite. We were on the SW of town and thought we would try someplace new. We will now find a reason to go here again.

I have loved B&N Sandwiches for years and am happy to see they're still thriving! They've expanded…read moreand even have some seating now. I stopped in recently and got a couple of bánh mì and some gỏi cuốn tôm (shrimp summer rolls). There is a kiosk where you can order, which makes it easy as it has photos and you can tap to pay. If you need a receipt, be sure to ask at the counter, as the machine didn't print me one. It only took a few minutes to get our order and we got to watch the employee assemble our tasty sandwiches. I got the bánh mì Đặc biệt (special combination) and Nate ordered the bánh mì thịt nướng (BBQ pork). The bánh mì are still my favorite in town, with perfectly crispy yet soft bread, fresh veggies and herbs, and delicious meat. The BBQ pork was my favorite this time, even though I always order the special combination. The summer rolls were refreshing and we love the dipping sauce.

I was not really a fan of B&N... The owner I'm assuming was super nice, but everything seems…read morealittle over priced for the quality... I came in around 5:30 to pick up some banh mi for dinner. I think bc of the time, the bread must have been stale from when they baked it in the morning... to give you an idea, I didn't have them toast it, and when I ate it in the car on the drive home, it was crumbly, there were big pieces of crumbs everywhere. The meat portion was also little in comparison to the baguette. I also got a few snacks from the fridge: the coconut jelly, flan, and yogurt. The coconut jelly was bad, the white part (coconut milk gelatin) had gone sour. The clear part was still good - which I took a chance at bc it was $5... The flan did not taste fresh, the texture was that of a yogurt that had solidified and kind of liquidy... The yogurt was actually good, probably bc yogurt can't go bad... I also got the banh cuon and com chay, both of those were fortunately good. However the com chay container was stapled shut on multiple sides which made it a pain to open with the risk of the staples also landing in the com chay. Overall, I get that Vietnamese food might be scarce in the GR area, but quality was really lacking and if you had not had banh mi in a major metro area, you wouldn't know any better... I didn't come back and probably won't...
