My fiancé got a market fresh roast turkey ranch and bacon wrap meal, she also got potato cakes. She ended up gettin a market non fresh (maybe) Turkey, no bacon, Dijon mustard wrap. Normally this isn't a huge deal, but we paid $16 for this meal, and didn't even get the potato cakes. Basically paid a bunch of money to get a bogus order

Decent service. We came here for late night meal. But beware!! They shut down the milkshake machine, so no late night milkshakes. Overall the food was great and hot. The service is slow though. I know it a midnight crew, but when we got there there was only 2 cars in front of us. By the time we placed our order, there was 3 cars behind us since we waited about 10 minutes or so to place our order. Our wait for our food was less than 5 minutes. Good food, late night service/early AM hours could be better.

Barely any cheddar on the beef n cheddar

For 8.99 there should be at least a little cheese on the beef n cheddar. Not just a scrape on the bun. Literally if that.

I watched while the staff applauded taking over 5 min to make someone's sandwich. One sandwich. Only one person was making food and the others were just watching. I thought maybe it was a contest at first but no the same person then started working on another sandwich with others just standing around watching. In the meantime my sandwich sat waiting on someone to simply put it into a bag and hand it to me. It looked ok (see photo) but it was just a roast beef sandwich. If there was a manager here that person was doing a horrible job. Owner/manager I suggest a secret shopper or other to get a decent understanding of how little the staff cares about the customers.

Continues to be THE WORST run facility in the city. Service is slow and the staff is CONSISTENTLY rude. Has to be a management issue.

We were able to sit, visit, order and eat, have birhday cake (which we brought), open presents and not feel rushed or pressured tp leave the establishment. There are 4 resturants, a cheesecake vendor and a full bar insde the open air building all sharing the same dining space. My husband and I went back this afternoon for an early dinner . Over the two days we shared, nachos (loaded with bacon, chicken, cheese, and chives) a hamburger and fries, korean bbq and hibachi chicken. All were extremely tasty, with the exception of the Korean bbq, which was just OK. We went back for the hibachi chicken it was good good. You prder at onw of the 4 counters ,pay and are given a number to pur on your table. They then bring the food to your table. The chef from the hibachi vendor came to check on us adter we were eating to see of we were satisfied. That was kind. Both days they were out of egg rolls. Utensils are self-service and you bus your own table, but are still encouraged to tip when ordering. My veggie bowl was fine. One member of our party reported that her burger was bland even though it was swimming in cheese sauce and had extra jalapeños. Positives: the seven of us ate from 3 different vendors. Most people enjoyed their food. Street parking was easy and I saw a sign saying free parking in the back. Cocktails are available from one vendor, and they have a trivia night. The atmosphere was lively but not super loud. I think adding a few more vendors and doing some deep cleaning would bring this place up to a 4. I plan to return to try the sushi.

I wanted to love this restaurant. 3rd generation family owned operation that's been open since 1922…read more(104 years). The history of this place was amazing. I'm guessing every major race horse owner, trainer and rider have eaten in here at least a few times. Well, if this place were a museum of memories, it would have been 5 out of 5 stars. This is where the positive part of this experience ends. We came in to dine at 10am on Saturday 4/19/26. The restaurant was full. It took our server nearly 30 minutes to take our order. During that long wait, the busser did refresh our coffee multiple times. When the server finally made it to our table we gave her 3 breakfast orders (Superfecta - eggs, bacon & French toast). This was at 10:30. We waited another hour and 10 minutes before we received our food at 11:40. I can see these times on our check. During this time as least one table got up and walked out on their order as the wait was unacceptable. We had at least 3 more rounds of coffee during the wait. Wagner's did not have a Supervisor or Manager working the floor. The staff was so buried in the weeds they could not see straight. Without any sort of management help, tables kept pouring in, and the servers kept taking the orders, just compounding the problem. Our server was a nice old lady. I would love to give her a shoutout but here name was not listed on the check. Only the cashiers name, "Giggles" was listed. The issues of this day was not our servers fault. There was nothing she could do. The restaurant had two individuals cooking. This was the breakdown. They clearly were not up to the task to handle the volume the restaurant had. With no management presence on the floor, it was like watching the RMS Titanic slowly sink. At one point during the wait I got up and went shopping in Wagner's gift shop. I bought a Wagners' hat (before the wheels came off). I went to the cashier and "Giggles" asked if I wanted to leave a tip with the purchase. I responded, "a tip for buying a hat"? What a hustle. There were 3 or 4 cashiers working behind the stand. Not a good use of labor. Drop to 2 or 3 and hire a couple more cooks. When the food came, it was marginal at best. My coffee was stone cold at this point. They surely would have given me more, but at this point, I don't think I could have drinken my 5th or 6th cup. You don't operate a business for 104 years being this bad. They were truly as bad as it gets last Saturday. Nothing would get me to ever step foot in this restaurant again. That's unfortunate because I love supporting small owner/operators.

This is a traditional American breakfast place. The serving sizes are average. The wait staff was wonderful, and you totally feel like you're in Mel's Diner. It's a flashback to 1975. Enjoy.
