    Chocolate milkshake
    Aimee N.

I drove through here for my son and daughter. She had the chicken slider and medium curly fries with a chocolate milkshake She said it was very good! The girls working at the check out were very nice and everything was served warm and correctly. My son said his 2 for $6.00 sandwiches were great, too. The drive they was a little confusing as to where to pull into. I ended up behind the building?? Was this just me??

Good customer service. Quick and hot food. Construction going on and a little outdated inside. But very nice staff crew.

The dining area itself appeared clean, and their posted health inspection score was a 94. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich with fries and cheddar cheese bites, along with a half sweet tea and half unsweet tea. Everything came out hot. The cheddar cheese bites were especially good and full of flavor. The fries were hot but a little underdone and not very crispy, although they still tasted good. The half-and-half tea was excellent and very refreshing. One major downside, however, was the condition of the men's restroom. It was in rough shape, with splattered soap all over the vanity area and generally poor cleanliness. It was unpleasant enough that it would make me hesitate to bring my wife or family here unless that situation improves. So overall: friendly service, hot food, and some tasty items on the menu--but the restroom cleanliness needs serious attention. Fix that, and this place would make a much better impression.

I got more cheese bites this time, so that was great. I got a sweet tea, which is always good at Cook Out and treated myself to a chocolate blueberry milkshake. Smithfield BBQ in Warsaw is pure comfort food for me. It's right in my small hometown and no matter…read morehow long I've been gone, this is always one of my first stops when I'm back. It's just that kind of place that brings me so much comfort. This restaurant is reliable, unfussy, and really good at what it does. As is the case throughout the South, the fresh brewed iced tea is one of the highlights. One sip and it immediately tastes like home. My favorite thing on the menu has always been and will always be the Brunswick stew. It's absolute comfort food that's warm, hearty, and nostalgic in a way that hits every time. It's an Eastern North Carolina tradition, and Smithfield BBQ is one of the best in the business. As for other regional specialities, the hushpuppies deserve their own shoutout too. The slightly sweet cornbread batter is perfectly fried every time, which makes these little carb morsels crunchy on the outside yet soft and fluffy on the inside. I've been eating them dipped in ketchup since I was a kid and I'm not about to stop now. Quit quietly judging me, LOL! The bbq sandwiches are messy and not designed to be easy to eat on the go, but the bbq plates are the best deal. I love getting the pulled pork plate with potato salad (the best). Since I'm Eastern N.C. born and raised, I basically was born with a taste for classic vinegar bbq sauce. Smithfield's is terrific, and I love drowning my pork in that tangy goodness. Every bite seriously brings me back to lazy summer Sundays hanging out with my best friend in my Grandmama's grassy backyard. You can't put a price on those culinary memories.   Service is fast, takeout is easy, the dining room's small but cozy, and there's even a drive-through for when you're in a hurry. Smithfield BBQ is not trying to be trendy or fancy, nor have they ever been. It's just a place that serves really solid Eastern North Carolina BBQ done right. For me, Smithfield's isn't just a restaurant, it's a family tradition.

The Cajun filet biscuit was exactly what you want from Bojangles, hot, crispy, and satisfying, and the Bo-Rounds were fresh. What truly stood out, though, was the ranch. I found out that some smaller-town Bojangles make their ranch in-house, and wow, the difference is noticeable. It's creamier, more flavorful, and miles better than the typical pre-packaged version. Honestly, it made the entire meal. Service was quick, the restaurant was clean, and everything came out hot. It's not reinventing Bojangles, but it's executing it very well and that homemade ranch alone earns this location an extra star in my book.

If you've never had a Cheddar Bo, let me introduce you to pure heaven on Earth! First, they take a buttery, crispy biscuit and stuff it with a huge hunk of melty cheddar cheese. Even if this doesn't sound good to you, I promise you it'll change your foodie life! It's one of my comfort foods from my childhood, and one bite takes me right back. You may have to wait if you order one, but all Cheddar Bo's are prepared to order. In fact, when they tell me to pull around because the biscuits are still in the oven, it makes me HAPPY. That means you get the hottest, freshest biscuits around. And nothing is better than a Cheddar Bo right from the oven! It's best not to think about the carbs or calories (or fat: this thing just drips butter grease when you bite into it), but it's the number one reason I love Bojangles. Skip everything else and go for the Cheddar Bo. You can thank me later.

They also have one of those nice super custom soda, machines inside, so that was fantastic. The seating inside is pretty beat up, and the booth I sat and had the seat cushions torn. I used a coupon on the app and they were happy to take it, but it took a little extra time to get it figured out because the person who is working cash register was new. However, they took my order right away and didn't keep me waiting. So, definitely a plus given how fast food has gotten so automated as of late in all the wrong ways. Overall, I was pretty happy with the stop. It wasn't the most delicious food, but this chain never is. However, I'll take the fact that they were Edie, polite, and delivered the food hot.

When ours finally came, there was no apology or acknowledgment of the wait, and the food was cold and soggy. Once we got back on the highway, my son opened his burger and discovered it was covered in MOLD. We immediately turned around and went back to the restaurant to let them know and request a refund. When I walked in, the manager saw me and immediately appeared annoyed, mouthing, "What's the problem?" while helping another customer. Trying to be discreet because other customers were around, I politely said I'd rather not announce it. She came over, I showed her the moldy burger, and she took it and my receipt without saying a word. Someone then handed me $4 and walked away. At that point, I became frustrated and said absolutely not--our bill was $46, and after finding mold on one item, we were not eating any of the food. The manager snapped back at me for being upset, while other employees gave me dirty looks. They eventually gave me a full refund, but not once did anyone apologize--not for the 20-minute wait, the cold food, or, most importantly, serving my child a mold-covered burger. I actually tried to handle the situation discreetly and respectfully so I wouldn't alarm the other customers. The complete lack of concern, apology, and basic customer service was unacceptable. Mistakes happen, but the way you treat customers when something goes this seriously wrong matters.
