How am I to eat this without getting this sauce all over me? I literally had to take the chicken off and eat it.

Couldn't eat the sandwich because too much sauce. Had to take chicken off the sandwich and eat it only.

This is my all time favorite breakfast spot. We come here nearly every Saturday. The staff…read morerecognize us and know exactly what we want. They know that we always order water, a friend always want extra butter with his pancakes, and that we all want chocolate chips with them. Has a great small town family feel with people that remember you and care. If I could give 6 stars I would. This is my only Yelp review ever and I think that they deserve every ounce of effort I put into this tenfold. If you go often, they will remember and they always appreciate your business.

This is the first Father's Day we went since our Grandfather passed and there were 10 of us. They weren't too packed and had 2 tables that fit 8 and a round table that fit 5 empty. We sat at a 8 table and told them we had 2 more coming. They told us they would have to sit separately. In the last 20 years we have always moved the tables together. When the rest of our party got there we moved 1 table to the end of the line so we could all sit together. They didn't initially say anything until we all sat back down. They had the cook come out and tell us that we couldn't move the tables and would have to move them back because it's a fire hazard. We come from a family of firefighters and knew the table was not a fire hazard but the round table and the big white board sitting directly in front of the fire exit was definitely a fire hazard. So we moved all the tables back to their original spots paid for the drinks we got and left since we could not sit together as a family during Father's Day.

Was a little nervous when I sat down and saw the rating was absolutely nerfed. But a closer read…read moreshowed it was mostly complaining about the new remodel, and slower service and I was not in a rush today. I haven't been to Fred's in this area in about 20 years and I don't remember what it used to be like. I agree, the atmosphere felt like a Pizza Hut Express and not somewhere you'd wanna linger for a couple hours. But hey, it's also about the food and the service, right? And the pizza was great as always, and the server was sweet and helpful. Maybe the next time I'm craving a roadtrip to Fred's I head over to the Waverly location which has a homier and more welcoming setting. But the food and service in Wheelersburg is still right.

While visiting from out of town for the holidays, we found our way back to Fred's to listen to Nick Carr serenade us with live music. Pulling into the parking lot I noticed the change. Inside the bar area remains unchanged but the new open space is modern and welcoming. My child was amazed by all the arcade games lining the walls. We were seated right away and ordered some old favorites; cheese fries and pepperoni pizza. The food was amazing. Just as good as I remembered if not better. Our server, Misty, made our experience even better by being so kind to our overly tired youngster. It was such a nice experience and stroll down memory lane. A local tradition that continues to reunite family and friends from near and far.

Today I found a place "where diets come to die a delicious death." It's called Country Crust Bakery…read morein Bainbridge, Ohio, and what a find it was! We were out exploring the area when we stumbled across this charming little bakery run by a group of Amish girls. The moment you walk through the door, your senses go into overdrive. The smell of freshly baked pies, cookies, breads, and pastries fills the air, and I swear I started drooling before I even reached the display case. As I quickly learned, "walking in here with self-control is like bringing a snowball to Florida." It simply doesn't exist! Mine certainly didn't. I ended up leaving with two peach fry pies, a loaf of cheddar jalapeño bread, and a glazed donut. My wife chose one of their giant fresh-baked pretzels with cream cheese. It was served warm and was absolutely delicious. Then I dug into the glazed donut, and wow--light, fluffy, and it practically melted in my mouth. This was our first visit, but there's no doubt we'll be back. In fact, I can easily see us becoming regulars. A quick heads-up: they accept cash or checks, but no credit cards, so plan accordingly. Country Crust also has a cute little café area where they serve pizzas and sandwiches. From what I saw, those sandwiches were absolutely ginormous. I didn't order one this time, but trust me, the brisket on a pretzel bun and the Reuben both have my name written all over them for a future visit. If you're anywhere near Bainbridge and have a sweet tooth--or just appreciate great homemade baked goods--do yourself a favor and make the drive. Your taste buds will thank you, even if your diet won't. "Worth every calorie and every mile driven."
