Went this morning around 9am ...very disappointed. About everything wasn't hot. Scrambled eggs were not good. Cinnamon rolls were like from the Dolly Madison or a deli. Gravy was thin and had no taste. Only thing that was edible was the French toast. We go for lunch at least once a week....always good. Breakfast was a huge fail. Grits and oats were watery. Not much to eat...unless you like fried chicken , Mac n cheese, or roast and taters for breakfast. That was odd. read more

Overpriced. 50 dollars and after the bubble guts subsided we were reaching for snacks. The mashed potatoes left a hint of cow manure in your mouth for some reason, idk why. Overall I just feel cheated. I miss the 9.99 all you can eat buffet I grew up going to. read more

I really hate all-you-care-to-eat buffets. When you eat at those places you are just eating what other people don't want. The food is ok and I always get satiated but more importantly my diverse family has a plethora of options to choose from. I realized this visit that it provides me with more entertainment than a normal restaurant. I sit in my corner and spy the patrons dutifully waddle back and forth to the buffet like gigantic oompa-lompas sans the green hair. Their skin has an orange tint due to tanning beds. I'm just waiting for them to start singing. BTW, I'm referencing the original Willy Wonka. Johnny Depps Willy Wonka's oompa lompas were lame. read more

The staff and service was excellent...the food during lunch hours was fresh. Empty food trays were quickly replaced with fresh food...the areas in the restaurant were kept clean....food is what you would expect for buffet type setting...best bang for your buck....providing large variety of food...from tex-mex to home cooked selections and fresh fruit salad bar...and did I mention they have a dessert bar with hug selection for those of you with a sweet tooth read more

It is my custom to visit Golden Corral in Ashland KY while visiting my cousin Arnie who lives in Ironton OH,durring my Annual Road Trip. The service is usually good. They have an good variety of food. Seems to me they are always busy when I am there. I would give it no stars. I ate here on a quick trip from florida and was craving an all you can eat american buffet. Little did I know, I was gonna be shitting and throwing up all week long. I am going on the 6th day after eating this crap and I'm currently in a healthcare clinic writing this review. STAY AWAY! I've had to call off work all week. Not worth your while. Food was old, the guy cooking the steak did not know what he was doing. I asked for a medium rare and I got a piece close to well done. Service was great, but this maybe scarred me for a while. It will be a long while before I go back to a Golden Corral that's for sure. read more

As an all-you-can-eat buffet I do like going here. Their is a variety of food to choose from but you need to be careful as to what is fresh vs what has been sitting out awhile. The manager is a pleasant man and his staff are polite for they will offer and bring you coffee if you should want some. I do find it a little pricey for a casual lunch but for an all-you-can-eat dinner, on a occasion, it is one of the better buffets you can go to in the Ashland area. I will certainly being going back. And the breakfast buffet on the weekends is quite good as well. read more

I was appalled this morning to find that this particular location actually allows dogs. A family brought in their pug, on a leash, yes, but all the same this dog was brought up to the cafeteria/food counters each and every time one of them made a return trip up there, which was several times. Back and forth past our table, dog panting and drooling. The dog did not bark and to the best of my knowledge it didn't have an accident, but the mere thought that it might was enough to ruin my appetite. Our server kept gushing over how cute it was. Well, Golden Corral, not all of your customers share that opinion. I am a dog owner but I would never think of bringing my dog inside a restaurant. This restaurant has fantastic food, some of the best you can get in the tri-state area, but my recent experience was awkward and embarrassing, so i went on a night where their was a chef cooking steak on the grill, i went up to get some and asked him to make some medium rare, and he looked at me like i was some kind of idiot and says "What? are you sure?" and another staff filing one of the buffet sections close to me said i was crazy for wanting raw meat, what kind of place are they running when if you ask for your steak to be cooked a certain way you get looked at and mocked like an idiot? i'm a 24 year old man and i know plenty of people who eat their steaks medium rare. Also on another occasion i saw something that quite honestly wanted to make me throw up, there was a cock roach crawling across the display of dinner rolls, i told one of the staff and they apologized and took care of it. so just take the fact that you might be eating bugs in your food. after my experiences i dont think ill ever eat here again. read more

They do stay pretty busy at certain times of the day like 12:00 and around 5:30 pm. But the buffet is always fresh. I like their breakfast buffet best of all. They open at 8:00 am Friday, Saturday and Sunday. read more
