Upon walking in the smell was phenomenal and I was excited ... but that excitement quickly faded as I saw pretty empty refrigerated cases and struggled to find a menu. Even after finding the menu it was absolutely underwhelming . My bf made up a sandwich he wanted to have them make and I decided to go with the roast beef sharp provolone and horseradish wrap but with an Italian roll instead of a wrap. The roll was about 6 hours away from being stale and I had to add my own balsamic glaze and roasted red peppers at home to give the sandwich some life. My bf enjoyed his sandwich way more than I did but did say it wasn't anywhere near as good as the market sandwiches were used to up north. Oh and the customer service was mid at best. There's no organization as it pertains to a line or ticket system so it's a little confusing too.

Great food...just not great enough to make up for the repulsive service…read more The Gaetano's on Penny Packer has perfected its food offerings, but the owners really need to take more care in the hiring of employees. In our most recent visit, there were two girls behind the counter, yet neither felt the need to acknowledge us or take our order. After a few minutes of waiting and listening to them argue about what ticket went where and whose food was whose, I asked if we could place our order. The blonde motioned to the brunette (short hair and glasses), but she was too busy texting to care - she couldn't even look up from her phone to acknowledge us. The ordering process was just as painful. We had to repeat each item several times, as the brunette's eyes drifted each time her cell phone dinged. When we ordered Panzerotti bites, she said "I don't know if we have those" and just stared off space with no inclination to follow up to see - the only reason we got an answer was because the grill chef overhead and confirmed that yes, they do carry them. After completing our order, I was immediately concerned that our order would not be accurate. Somehow the pizza and cheesesteaks were finished a good 15 minutes before the Panzerotti bites and waffle fries - I'm still not sure how, considering both of those items are simply thrown in a frier for a few minutes - but that caused our food to sit on the counter and get cold while we waited for the rest of our order. And I was right being concerned about the accuracy, as the cheese pizza somehow turned into a pepperoni pizza and the waffle fries were drenched in the wiz we had ordered on the side. We dealt with the pizza, but asked for a new order or waffle fries with the wiz on the side, which the grill chef took care of. As we paid for our $60 takeout, I mentioned to the brunette that being new and not knowing is ok, but customers do not appreciate being ignored for texting. She immediately became combative and insisted that she did her job perfectly and did not make errors. Unfortunately, errors are all we saw and no matter how good Gaetano's may be, $60 worth of cold takeout and the waste of an hour of our time to get it is just not acceptable. There are plenty of other local businesses that would be happy to have our business. Note: I worked in a local pizza shop in my teen years. I understand the specific job duties and related stresses, and can assure you the volume of orders did not have anything to do with the lacking service.

I've been coming here since I was about 10 years old. I'm 62 now. Never had a slice of pizza from here. I learned that I been missing out on something really good. I ordered a cheese steak with mushrooms, onions, and sweet peppers. They give you so much meat you need to use a fork or get more bread. The bread is soft, structured, with a good bite, and doesn't tear at the bottom. They season the meat just right. But I always order without salt. If you passing exit 5 (Willingboro) on the turnpike. I am in town to attend an event and I went to Gaetano's last night to buy a Cheesesteak. Since I know they're usually big and filled with meat, I ordered a Mini Cheesesteak with grilled onions and the price was listed as $13.79. When I ordered it and was ready to pay for my sandwich, the female cashier told me I owed $17 and change. I knew that price was more than the price posted on their board and I told her the price on the board said $13.79 for a Mini Cheesesteak. She responded that the owner said he had to raise the prices because the cost of meat has gone up. I did not buy the Mini Cheesesteak because I told her the price she charged me was higher than the price posted on the board in Gaetano's. I googled this and found out this is an unlawful business practice to charge customers more than the prices stated on their board. Here's what I found when I googled this situation: Can restaurants in NJ charge customers a higher amount for food than their posted prices? No, restaurants in New Jersey cannot legally charge a higher price for food than what is displayed on their menus or posted boards. Doing so violates state consumer protection laws. Please look into the practice of overcharging consumers for food purchased at Gaetano's.

We have not one single complaint or anything to offer for improvement. We were also going to order an Italian sandwich but since the following week was Christmas and they were going to be closed for a good portion of the week they informed us that they were out of the deli meats because they didn't want to over order and have left over meats that would either go to waste or be leftover for sandwiches the following week because they want everything fresh. We will definitely order again and be sure to take pics.

Maranucci's Deli serves one of the best sandwiches I've had in Philadelphia…read more This is likely to poke the cheesesteak or roast pork purist out there but I'm gonna say it anyways... The corned beef hoagie at Marinucci's Deli is incomparable. It is layered with paper thin slices that are rich but never heavy. The dressing is balanced, the coleslaw adds a nice tang, and the shredded lettuce brings a fresh crunch that ties it all together. That's not enough. If you're from Philly you know that none of the above matters if your bread sucks. Well... Marinucci's offers seeded and unseeded rolls that are incredible. Please join me in thanking baby Buddha for this crusty, chewy yet fluffy vessel of perfection. The hoagie is massive, about the length of two of my hands long, and consistently excellent from first bite to last. When I first unrolled the hoagie my immediate thoughts were that I would never finish this in one sitting. I was right but you do you boo. The service matches the quality. It is an old school deli line that moves fast, with orders handled quickly and accurately even during a rush. Key word is ACCURATELY. Who knew that in 2026 whether or not a business can make your order accurately would be a thing but here we are. It's an important mention because this little detail tells me that they actually give AF. Ambiance: think classic Philly deli but without the attitude or aggression.
