We had safe things, sliders and fries and Fish n Chips. Both were good fare but not repeatable. Cole Slaw too dry to Eat. Most of the seats are high tops, dark interior in the middle of the day and one broken Tv. Unless you sit at the bar, the others are useless. One waitress for everything but the 6 Bar spots. Just charged me for a drink I couldn't drink and I walked out. Should not paid and just left. This is a fairly good burger joint that I have frequented for years due to their music selection, and selection of ciders. Its been one of the ONLY places to go in town that offers gluten free options and doesn't cost a fortune. They WERE one of the ONLY places to get a burger with a gluten free bun. They just changed that, took the gluten free bun away. Doesn't make sense to me unless they like poisoning people. Buns don't take up much space, you freeze until you nerd it, and they charge us afflicted with allergies EXTRA for the in convenience of having allergies. Since Trump declared glyphosate a strategic chemical, more and more people will be gluten sensitive and more and more people will stop going to this place. Now I'm going to have to drive another hour for a 50-50 chance at finding a place that will give me a burger that doesn't taste like meatloaf. (Lettuce w/crap) read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. The service wasn't great but it was the food that was the worst part. The burgers were so over cooked they weren't even chewy they were crunchy. And they were still lukewarm, the cheese was rock hard like maybe they sat under a heat lamp, not sure. The fries were cold and just Sysco crap as were the burger patties. The "grilled" onions were cold and not cooked through. And some of my toppings that were advertised were left off entirely. We ordered a couple of sodas and never were offered a refill. When the food was dropped the server took off so fast we couldn't ask for anything to dip our fries in and she never came back to check on our food quality. She walked by and dropped the check drive by style and never asked how the food was. I think the servers must know the food isn't good. We sat there (it was relatively slow) and watched our server just stand around and chit chat. Then went and cleaned off a table before coming over to get our card and still didn't ask if the food was okay or offer a refill of the sodas. It was all very odd vibes in there. Also we had to ask for a rag to clean our table which we didn't purposefully sit at a dirty table, the few smaller ones available were all dirty. For $20 burgers you'd think they would be amazing, normally you're asked what temp you want your burger cooked. It was just frozen Sysco garbage. Not worth the money at all. The hot case at McKays would have been better, and cheaper. read more

Walk in, seat yourself at either high top or low top tables. The atmosphere here is still a comfortable and welcoming one and staff is friendly and communicative. Plenty of big screens showing different sports. The tables and floors are very clean. We started with a Dirty Fries appetizer and found it over the top good! We gobbled up half before I remembered to get a pic. The fries were very crispy and a nice medium size between shoestring and steak fries. The cheese was melted nicely and a touch stringy which told us this was actual cheese and not a sauce. The cheese curds were a nice mild flavor and deliciously warm and soft. Yea, the three of us pretty much attacked it. I ordered the wings appetizer for my entree with BBQ sauce. I was presented with a nice amount of wings that were huge. I joked that these might be ostrich wings. Anyway, they came out temperature hot! Nice! They were battered and very, very meaty. These wings are a very good quality. They were cooked perfectly and were satisfying enough to make me go back for more. read more

Ordered take out after seeing the lights at shore acres. The inside is very bright and clean. Our food was ready pretty quickly. We ordered the fried cheese curds which were fantastic. Very garlicky. We also ordered their fish and chips. It came with 4 HUGE pieces of fish and very tasty fries. Fish pieces were a little greasy but otherwise great. The tartar sauce was also very yummy. The kids Mac and cheese was a hit with my toddler. Also had to try the peanut butter bacon jalapeño burger. The burger could have used a little sauce as we felt it was a little dry, but the combination of flavors were great. Gave us plenty of silverware and napkins with the takeout order. read more

This is our favorite restaurant in Bandon so far. The whole menu is enticing. I like the Broken Anchor and Mac burgers plus the local fried cheese curds. I usually get the cranberry cider but they also have a good selection of other drinks including creative cocktail specials. Casual lively bar and grill setting with many TVs for sports. Came in here, not too busy. Sat ourselves as the sign and waitress indicated. After about 5 minutes, got up and grabbed our own menus thinking we had missed that step. Decided on our orders, both food and drink, and waited. Not a single person approached our table. After the server seated the table behind us, brought them menus, took and delivered their drink orders, and asked if they were ready to order, we got up and left. In total sat for over 20 minutes without any contact at all. Menus lying on our tables and no drinks should indicate we need service, but I guess not at Broken Anchor. We'll skip this place next time we're in town and I recommend you do too if you actually want to eat. read more

This place has everything I desired. I visited a creamery nearby and they didn't serve cheese curds but the staff there recommended that I walk down the street to Broken Anchor. Boy am I forever grateful for her suggestion. The cheese curds here are much better than what we had at Tillamook, the cheese tasted more premium and the batter is more airy and crispy than sticky, if you know what I mean. As if we didn't have enough cheese, someone in the group ordered the Mac and cheese and it's also heavenly. The topping is flaky and crunchy, the noodles gooey and fat (lots of butter used but oh so decadent!) I didn't try the burger or the fish and chips but from the look of everybody who did, they were all delicious especially the fries. I guess they must be really good at frying food here! Only complaint I had was our table is right by a huge window and the setting sun was torching my back at the same time it was blinding my friend who sat across from me. They should at least put some blinds or curtains on! read more

We're locals & always used to walk past, but never ventured inside. Boy have we missed out! This bar & grill has some of the best drinks and food in Coos County. Been here twice now in the last week-- you can't go wrong with whatever you order to eat or drink. Today I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Caesar Wrap & truffle fries (the BEST). Very filling and tasty, to say the least. Service has been great both times as well. Friendly environment. We may have found our new favorite spot! read more

I go to Bandon twice a year and the Broken Anchor is always my first stop. The cheese curds and buffalo chicken Caesar wrap and a Bandon Rain Cider are my go tos. Been stopping at the Broken Anchor for 6-7 years. Everytime intoning busy or not the food is always on point.
