The food here is good, we were happy with our juicy burgers and crispy tots. My friend and I were traveling through town on a coastal road trip, I wish we'd known this is more of a locals only type place. Our service wasn't friendly, and the overall vibe not welcoming, at least not to us. We noticed our server was laughing and chatting with everyone else in the place, all of whom seemed to know each other. It felt a like we'd crashed someone's family gathering on burger night. Awkward.

Went here on vacation. Was one of the few bars open late in the area. Really friendly service and good prices for drinks and some simple appetizers.

    Hello Friday night karaoke!
    Jeff W.

Fun dive bar where karaoke is still flourishing! We were staying at the campground 5 feet away from this place. Super cheap place to drink. Pre-tip it was only 160 bucks for 8 people to drink for several hours. Lots of shot deals. Two big guys (from the wedding party) were with us and drank probably 20 shots each, (plus Jack and Cokes) enough that both of them were throwing up all night. Yes, one was the groom! So great!! Some local ringers were crushing karaoke along with some local chalkboard scratchers that made me feel good! A time capsule you need to visit if you want to drink and hang with some real working folk. Pro tip: don't look any of the locals in the eye, you might provoke them. Just look confident and mind your own business.

This is a great place to have a beverage while staying at the turtle Rock RV joint. Just a cross the street and an eclectic joint with pool and on a cute river with a view. This gem is tucked away, but we found it to try the arches brewery (next door) lager. Funny signs and decor with tops stuck into the ceiling. When we go back we will stop in for a pint.

Love the view from the porch and our meal was amazing! Quite the good find

Great food and the service was amazing. We got the fried fish tacos that were yummy, the burger was awesome and the Ruben was over the top. Highly recommend and will be back.

Pork rinds were so good! Couldn't stop eating. Great for keto.

We stopped for drinks on a road trip up the Oregon coast. The staff were friendly and helpful and the drinks were cold and delicious.

Kind of a hip dive bar meets delicious food with a sprinkle of old timers ready to share a story or two with you while you wait. We got burgers, cuz duh... Look at these things!! I got mine with a side salad instead of fries and my friend got the fries. All of it was delicious. There was zero chance either of us were able to finish these monsters so the rest came home with us. The side salad was amazing! Fries were delicious. And the burgers did not disappoint. The guy at the counter was super friendly and everyone in the establishment gave off a friendly vibe. Happy they were the only place open when we were driving through. We would definitely visit again.

Walk in on 4th of July to the entire place packed and a pizza just coming out of the oven, everyone has multiple pizzas.. I try to order to go.. nope sorry pizza oven isn't working. LMFAO. Or when they want you to eat there and keep drinking their overpriced booze. Either fix your pizza oven, upgrade your disgusting black fingerprint and gunk covered white standing fridge that everyone can see when ordering or tell your customers you don't want their patronage and aren't making anymore pizzas for the night. Be honest. Place has been reported to health dept for unsanitary practices in the kitchen. It's truly disgusting. Also the main bitch up front always is bitching about being there, bitching when an employee calls out sick because she has to work longer, or bitches that anyone else that works there doesn't know how to do shit. It truly is SO off putting for anyone to come in and feel like they can enjoy a meal or themselves. Especially anyone who isn't from this town and is visiting or passerby's.. it's not welcoming. Find a new job if you don't like what you do. NOONE is making you stay there.

We chose Seaquake since it was one of the few restaurants that was open with a good rating. The wait time was estimated to be an hour and a half, so we put our names down and just ended up walking to the beach to kill time, but they actually confirmed our table in less than an hour. We ordered fish and chips and coconut prawns, and they were both delicious! I dare say these could be the best fish and chips I've had, but I do like the panko crust more than beer battered. The fish was very crispy, moist, and well-seasoned. The coconut prawns were also done well with the coconut being not too cloyingly sweet and the prawns again having a nice crispy texture. The salsa on the side was a nice refreshing complement too. For drinks, I ordered the battery point blonde ale and guava mango margarita. Both were very good. I should have gotten a few cans of the battery point. My bf got the redwood highway hazy IPA and orange sunstar. Overall, this was a great spot. The service was great and our server was very friendly in offering recommendations. I will add this spot to my list of places that I would come back to next time I'm in Crescent City.

This place had a great vibe and was packed every time we went, but never had an outrageous wait. The calamari strips are a MUST. The breading had great flavor and every-time we had them (we went several times) the calamari was cooked perfectly! They had a fish special the night I went that I think was snapper over jasmine rice with blistered tomatoes. Hands down one of the most delicately delicious, fresh meals I had during my stay. Their wings were also delicious. Crispy, but also so juicy. Fish and chips seems to be the go to here, which was VERY good but I will say, it's the same breading as the calamari so I'd order one or the other next time because it was similar in taste. But again, delicious, cooked perfect, and fresh! My girlfriend got the fish tacos which she loved! I really wish I got merch but they were out of our sizes! They sell so much of their beer there as well as clothes/hats/keychains etc. to go! Almost forgot, they make homemade root beer which is SO good. They serve it without ice and it is so smooth and delicious. Probably the best root beer I've had. Actually pretty devastated I live in PA and have nothing close to home that can even hold a candle to this place.

I have never been WOWED by the service as the owner claims to do. Our server was polite but after being seated at 6:40pm and ordering drinks, apps, and entrees at 6:51pm, our appetizer came out at 7:10pm and by 7:43pm, we still hadn't gotten our meals. We had to cancel our order and the server (Holly F) was polite but patronizing and said she would "cancel and comp the meal". Comp is short for complimentary. All she did was not charge us for a meal we canceled. She also tried to justify that our entrees were put in only 28 minutes ago and it would be another 5-10 minutes. So we sat down at 6:40, ordered at 6:51, and our entrees weren't put in until 6:15, a full 19 minutes after we ordered??? She also gave an excuse that they only had two people cooking and the restaurant was busy. Not my problem. If she knew they were under staffed, she should have told customers that the kitchen is slow. Communication goes a long way. This is the first time I have ever canceled an order at a restaurant. I doubt I will go back. Very disappointed with the staff.

The burgers were so over cooked they weren't even chewy they were crunchy. And they were still lukewarm, the cheese was rock hard like maybe they sat under a heat lamp, not sure. The fries were cold and just Sysco crap as were the burger patties. The "grilled" onions were cold and not cooked through. And some of my toppings that were advertised were left off entirely. We ordered a couple of sodas and never were offered a refill. When the food was dropped the server took off so fast we couldn't ask for anything to dip our fries in and she never came back to check on our food quality. She walked by and dropped the check drive by style and never asked how the food was. I think the servers must know the food isn't good. We sat there (it was relatively slow) and watched our server just stand around and chit chat. Then went and cleaned off a table before coming over to get our card and still didn't ask if the food was okay or offer a refill of the sodas. It was all very odd vibes in there. Also we had to ask for a rag to clean our table which we didn't purposefully sit at a dirty table, the few smaller ones available were all dirty. For $20 burgers you'd think they would be amazing, normally you're asked what temp you want your burger cooked. It was just frozen Sysco garbage. Not worth the money at all. The hot case at McKays would have been better, and cheaper.
