We wanted to go somewhere special for my daughters 21st birthday and thought this place would be nice. It was newer, clean and the location was right on the river. We were seated right away and our waitress gave us window seating so we could have a river view. I told the waitress it was my daughters birthday, hoping they would do something special for her later. We ordered a few drinks and made our food order. It took about 20 minutes before we were served. I ordered the burger and fries. My hubby ordered the fish and chips and my daughter ordered the mac N cheese. Everything looked good, however, my fries were lacking warmth and my burger bun was stale. It was not soft and fresh. I ended up not eating the bun, but just the burger itself. My daughters mac N cheese wasn't as great as she expected either. It was bland and dry. Yes, it had cheese, but it was stringy and not creamy. My husband loved his fish and chips. Hot and fresh and looked amazing. I did have a bite and it did taste really good. Note taken: Do NOT order anything but the fish and chips. When we were finished a new waitress gave us our receipt and asked if we needed anything else. I wanted to tell her we needed more water, but we were ready to go. I wish they would have filled up the carafe of water "before" I was about to leave. And..on top of that...no birthday surprise for my daughter. Some places sing a song or give a small dessert. We arrived on a Wednesday evening about 5 pm and we were seated without delay at a window table. Service was professional and efficient. We had Oysters, Calamari as appetizers. They were both excellent. For the main course we had the Steelhead and that was excellent. We also had the large Clam Chowder as a main course. It was mostly potatoes, we joked about finding a clam, however, very tasty but I would not order again. The ambience was fantastic with the window table overlooking the water. The whole place is a modern design and very inviting. It is a Craft Brewery and the beer was excellent. There is a large parking lot. When we left, about an hour later, people were waiting to get in so plan ahead! read more

Consistently delicious and excellent quality food. I always experience wonderful service. The atmosphere is welcoming to all, families just off the beach, a dating couple or more formal. They have their own local and Oregon beer and assortment of local and Oregon wine as well as a full bat. You will enjoy your visit. read more

While dogs are welcome outside, I would not call it dog friendly. The hostess gave our dog a communal dog water bowl despite me saying we did not want it three times. Communal dog bowls are a common way that diseases are spread. I was not able to get to my dog in time to prevent her from drinking from the water which was visibly dirty from other dogs drinking it. Very disappointing. Also, the outside patio is VERY small and narrow which can be difficult if there other dogs who are territorial. Food was ok. We got the strawberry salad and fish and chips. Worth the wait! We got there at prime dinner time and had a wait, but definitely worth it. The views of the inlet/bay at sunset was beautiful. The smoked chicken with the cherry bourdon glaze was Smokey, flavorful, and sticky. The perfect complement to the chicken and the herb roasted potatoes. The sweetness and creaminess of the creamed corn completed the steelhead trout. The greens with bacon was the saltiness that the dish needed to balance it out without over powering the delicate fish. Oh and the braised beef with roasted carrots was the perfect soul warming dish after hiking out in the chilly weather. Very flavorful! Also we are from bourbon country (Kentucky) and their list did not disappoint! The prices were some of the best we've ever seen! Great fish and chips! The beer batter is super light and crispy and the fish was tender and flakey. Wonderful coleslaw too. The IPA was delicious. It's a cozy place to hang out on a stormy day and the service was warm and welcoming. read more

The place was gorgeous, clean and relatively busy yet people were space out enough that it wasn't loud. The service was decent - our waitress was not bad but nothing particularly special. She had to be called over a few times when things were needed, she took our order, dropped the food and never came back. We had to go up to the bar to get our check and some boxes since we didn't see her and she never came over. Food seemed pretty good all around. Nobody had any complaints except for me, the ribs were the absolute driest thing I had ever eaten. But my dad's fish and chips were delicious, the mac n cheese was so great and my drink was out quickly and delicious. This spot was very pricey, considering what was served I was a bit shocked by the prices. read more

Sarah was an excellent server - friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better! Our table of four ordered two fish & chips to share, and I'm glad we did. The portions were huge - definitely too much for one person. The fish was fresh, flaky, and perfectly fried. The tartar sauce was very good, and the fries were hot and tasty, though the coleslaw was just okay. Hubby started with a Caesar salad that was a 10/10, maybe more! He and my dad really enjoyed their Spindrift IPA, and I appreciated that the ice water was crisp and refreshing (always a win since that's all I drink). Beautiful location with a view of the water. Very friendly staff large open bar and restaurant. Clam chowder was very good, but like most clam chowder in the United States it's hard to find any clams in them . There are two 7 Devils locations in Coos Bay. I am glad we ended up at this one. It's located on a body of water in a small collection of modern looking shops and restaurants. The menu is clearly marked for gluten free items and there was a decent selection. The kids menu was decent too. They are kinda elevated pub food. We had the sausage board (delicious!) and a big salad as our meal between us. They had a great beer and wine selection and we went with the house red and white. All good choices for us. The kids Mac and cheese was a little fancy with cheese and breadcrumbs baked on it. Great flavor but my picky eater wasn't having it. I hope your little darlings appreciate a crispy melty Mac topper. The server was friendly. The place was bus but we didn't wait long for anything. Great spot for a date or a group dinner. read more

I love their MEATLOAF but FRIDAY June 26, 2026 I was so looking forward to having some meatloaf and when it arrived I was so disappointed. It either wasn't cooked long enough or there was too much of some filling and it was very mushy . Not a solid texture like usual.. Our server who was nice, but never showed up again after serving us, didn't come back so I could tell him. So I ate it but did not enjoy it. My husband was upset I was not enjoying my usual meatloaf, and it was a tense time for me, since I don't get out of the house much anymore and this was supposed to be an enjoyable day for us. The food was fantastic! We actually went to their other location on accident and they were so friendly to point us to this location on the waterfront. The other location has a smaller menu and is in the city, this waterfront location has a full menu with entrees, and an incredible drink menu. The service was delightful, drinks never empty, and nothing was forgotten. Food was timed properly also. The ambiance was great, fancy enough to feel like money was well spent, but not so fancy you feel out of place wearing normal clothes. The Mac n cheese and steelhead bites were on a happy hour special and were perfect serving sizes to get both. Clam chowder was delish, albeit not New England clam chowder (it never claimed to be NE clam chowder). Drinks were out of this world amazing. The burger was so fresh, fries too! It's been a minute since I've been down to Coos Bay, and this strip mall has just popped up here on the waterfront. A great many businesses, and this eatery stood out as a place to try. The service was excellent, and the staff was very helpful. It was nice to be able to look out on the water and enjoy the view. I had the house-made veggie burger, which was great. I ordered it with a salad, which was also very artisan in appearance. All in all a great meal and I will definitely stop by when in the Coos Bay area. read more

We were in Coos Bay with our dogs for our anniversary and were so excited to be able to sit out on the patio near the waterfront with them to enjoy 7 Devils for the first time. We started with some Fried Calamari, a Blood Orange Old Fashioned, and a Grin & Pear It. Then we moved on to the Smoked Fish Trio and Chili Green Beans. Finally, we ended with the Chocolate Stout Mousse Bar paired with the McCullough Mocha Stout. All of the food and drinks were incredibly fresh and flavorful, and each item on the menu looked enticing - definitely hard to narrow it down! This location is in the newer development of Coos Bay along the water. Great place to enjoy lunch with a view. The staff was attentive and quick to help. Parking can be a bit tight if busy. Fish and chips with the slaw were delicious. I also would recommend the cranberry cider. read more

We stopped off at this local place as the reviews were so positive. Unfortunately it is not really as dog friendly as we had hoped. The area to eat with your dog was an outdoor side porch. With bar stools and high tables or counter. We were a party of 4 with 2 large dogs. The area is too narrow for dogs and wait staff safety there is one table that could sit four and accommodate table service safely , it was occupied. As we thought over our options another party arrived with 4 large dogs, like us they had read the reviews and the dog friendly note. So I think 7 Devils may need to clarify their dog friendly accommodations for the tourists. Those in our party without dogs did dine in and said the food was very good. We decided to stop in at the last minute after a long day of driving and just wanted someplace to have a drink. We arrived at the tail end of happy hour and were able to order a few things off that menu. We ordered a few drinks and appetizers. It was quiet when we first arrived, and we asked to be seated by the window. We had wonderful views of the water! It was romantic and peaceful. The restaurant got busier/louder as the evening went on of course, but we still had a great experience. The food was all very tasty! I wasn't sure about arugula on a burger but wow. 7 Devils nailed it. This probably the best burger I have ever had. I will also add their service is stellar, very attentive and they were packed. I also added a side of grilled chicken, expecting it to be warm. What I got was refrigerator-cold chicken on the side of my plate. After one bite, I lost my appetite. I didn't eat the rest, and unfortunately, it turned out to be the most expensive $27 salad I've ever taken a bite of. I'm giving two stars instead of one because they did leave me alone while I worked on my laptop, which I appreciated. You can go if you want, but I'd skip this salad, or at least make sure you ask for the chicken to be served warm. read more

The fried oysters were divine. I took the waitress's recommendation on what the best fish was, and got the locally caught Coho salmon. I have to say, she picked it perfectly.
