Top Hat has been in Wahiawa OMG! Ever since 1941! I never went there and I've always been scared to go in because first of all, it's a bar and I'm too chicken to go alone. Also, I grew up here, so when I was a kid, it was like don't go in there! Just don't and you listen until now. Aunty Lois knows everything that she has on hand and how much they cost and asks what kind of snacks we want and OMG! She even comes outside, if can, to have a cigarette and talk story with us. She is very friendly, helpful, attentive and LOVES MY SINGING!!! This may be a small facility but my singing was awesome!!! Or because I was drunk with everyone else, having fun and met new friends to say, yes, I'll see you next Thursday night again. My purpose was to play the big claw machines, as I wanted the Big Labubu. You can trade 2 big plushies with one that was hanging on wall in the claw machine. Worker was super helpful and friendly. He decided to move the big plushies around to help me out a little. I was successful.. after so many tries lol. I had so much fun! Didn't get to in the small plushies, but the Big Trade in was the Big Labubu! I was so happy. Thank you Fun Factory Kalihi for making my day exciting! Will be definitely be back!

A celebration of culture is held at the Filipino Community Center a place that I've never been and happy to have a chance to see the festivities and events that embrace the Filipino culture that with scheduled conflict I almost can never make it though this year as I did have the time off took full advantage of the situation and what a fun filled day it was. In the lot and down the street is filled with food trucks and various vendors offering all types of foods from halo halo to a full plate lunch has my taste buds going into overdrive and didn't know where to begin. I did ended up starting with items from the Filipino Street Food tent as the event was just getting started so much so that some of the items weren't ready yet so it was the Hot Dog and Longanisa as I dove into my yummy meaty choices was hearty bite of deliciousness I moved out to the street and got the Halo Halo from the Halo Halo Place and got their "The Halo Halo" as it was voted the best Halo Halo topped with a scoop of ube ice cream is a light and refreshing treat and see why it's the favorite. To then Corn Onoz Hawaii with their Cheeto Z as it's coated with the vibrant and full of kick Flamin Hot Cheetos with Mahalo as their finishing sauce on top was too cute and creative :) along with entertainment it was indeed a festive event that I'm so glad to have experienced. The several times that my male companion and I went to Club Ruby it wasn't as crowded as most bars. Majority of the time it is hard to get in touch with workers via phone since the phone rings more than 10 times with no answer. As a person enters the bar there will be booths on the right side as well as straight ahead. Couple of the booths have game machines. There's two dart board machines behind of the booths. There is even a pool table in the establishment. The bar seating is on the right hand side with the restrooms and the small kitchen nearby. Most nights the bar offers snacks like chips and peanuts. We were lucky one night March 19, 2024 that the bartender June had some oxtail meat to serve the regular customers....not sure how much it cost. Customers can sing karaoke at the bar. Every Tuesday and Saturday is free from 7pm to closing while the other days/nights it's $2.00 a song. There are three television screens for the customers to look at if they plan on singing karaoke. Did I play a few rounds of pool? Yes I have...never win since I am still a beginner. Cost is $1.00 a game. Have I played any darts? No...that's my male companions game. Have I ever sing karaoke? Yes I have several times. I even did a few duets with the male companion.
