My niece wanted to bring me here for some roller skating because she had been to a birthday party here and had so much fun. Her, I and my sister came on a Sunday at around 2. They have some kind of a special - I can't remember exactly what it was - maybe $10 for 2 hours? And then renting skates are $5, or you can bring your own. They have both roller skates and rollerblades. The staff was very patient with me when I asked for skates, then switched to blades, then back to skates (and they do spray sanitizer on it between feet). It's been a minute since I've rollerbladed (I don't think I've ever skated before) so yes, I was one of those adults using the skate helpers (lol). They don't allow phones in the rink (which makes sense) but I was able to sneak a few photos. For a Sunday afternoon, it surprisingly wasn't too crowded. It's definitely a fun place to bring kids to. read more

We owe so much to KIHA! Less than a year ago, our three boys were struggling with confidence and to find their something special. I found KIHA with random Google search of fun things to do. Doug Jones put my boys on skates and pushed them not to fear. In less than 2 months, I had three boys that skated like they have been doing it for years! They are all so happy and so confident now! We have hockey 3x a week and my boys complain it isn't enough lol. We cannot thank KIHA, Doug Jones, Richard, Lee Sweatt, and all the other badass coaches enough for all that they do and have done for our family in 2025. Easiest party venue -- ever. Their online booking is so efficient and easy to navigate. You input all the party details and it calculates everything. I love how the party package is inclusive. You get pizza, hotdogs, ice cream, drinks & water. All the utensils are provided and decor is included too! Kyrae & Allen took such good care of us. I was able to get in contact with Allen about last minute party decor requests and Kyrae was assigned to our area. She was so kind and helpful. Kids wanted to roller skate so went to KIHA... Sunday 2pm-4pm session. First time in KIHA... observing parents or non-skaters are free. Coming in here brought me back to my childhood memories of Ice Palace. KIHA is nice... music, colorful lights, AC, skate shop, food and seats on the second floor (party area). Just wished there were more seats for observers along the main rink. Fam had a great time... beginner to experienced skaters enjoyed. After, we all headed upstairs for pizza, nachos & soft serve. We hosted a party for our 7 yr olds birthday party and it was a hit! We love the fact that they have skates (roller or inline) for rental and that there's a night disco DJ. Super clean and lockers to keep your stuff... bring your own lock to save from renting a lock. The pizza was ok but the nachos tasted better. The tables to rent for a party package are upstairs away from the roller area so if you reserve the 6pm slot you won't have seats to look over the skating area.... You still can't see the beginner area either way. They decorate the tables and provide plates, cutlery and napkins. If you bring your own food they add 10% to the total. read more

Idk why more people aren't coming here but it was such a fun time. We came here for a birthday party and it was from 4-8pm. Not sure what the cost was but it seemed worth it to get the skates (they have the option of roller skates or rollerblades) and four hours of skating. They provided one table that was decorated with a tablecloth and balloons. The pizza wasn't the best to be perfectly honest but it was ok. They also gave the kids ice cream bars for their party treat. The snack bar was right around the corner and had lots of cheap options like cup noodles, nachos, drinks, soda floats etc. Honestly it was the cheapest I've seen in a while, Ice Palace food is way more expensive. They have two skating rinks, one for beginners that was a little bit smaller and a larger rink for everyone. Considering we went on a Saturday night, it was kind of empty which is a bummer because more people should come here! read more

Came here with my family on Friday night we did the 8-11pm session and it was definitely fun. The place was busy but not super packed. The kids had a blast due to the fact we haven't skated in years or for the kids it was their first time we did spend most of our time in the "kiddie" side but our older ones did venture on the main rink a couple of times. The walkers were accessible to us at all times and they were even able to accommodate my 4 year old for skates I believe the sizing is a 7-11 for toddlers skates. The guys at the front counter were very friendly and welcoming when we went. The young workers in charge of rentals were also pretty friendly. Be aware if coming here they do take your footwear as collateral for the skates but if you need to go outside for anything they can stamp your hand and you can trade back the skates for your footwear. Pricing is 10 bucks for anyone skating and additional 5 bucks for rentals (if you bring your own skates you just pay the 10) I feel like that's reasonable and since we stayed the full 3 hrs definitely worth the money. This review is specifically about the hockey director Doug Jones and owner Richard Pentecost. Although Doug has a hockey background and possibly may have been a good player at some point in his life. Not all good players are good coaches. Doug is definitely not a good coach and is in it just for the paycheck. He doesn't care about your kid or about them becoming the best they can be. If he was he'd accept the opinions and recommendations of parents who are paying a lot of money for their kids to play there to improve the hockey program at KIHA. Instead he ignores everything and thinks he's all high and mighty and starts to pick on your kid when you continue to ask questions and give suggestions. He'll also get in to your personal business and contact parents specifically to ask what you were talking to them about. Don't contact Richard to express concerns about Doug getting in to your personal business because his response will be 'I support Doug in every decision!' The kids don't play in their respective ages or abilities. My 8 yr old was forced to play 13U. The big age gap and ability gap forces older players to play down for the younger kids which isn't fair to the older kids or the parents who are paying $195. Don't miss practice or games for any reason or Doug will pick on your kid. God forbid you have a life outside of hockey or your kid get sick. I could say so much more but at the end of the day, Doug Jones is literally the worst person I've ever met and if I can influence even one person from ever meeting him, then this post has served its purpose! Doug's professionalism allowed him to talk **it about another hockey program which he absolutely hated and if we went to that program we would no longer be allowed to play at KIHA. That was literally the best thing I heard come out of his mouth because thats exactly where we went. Thanks Doug! read more

Doug, Allen, and Julie have been amazing hosts at KIHA! We have had a great time every single time we visit. KIHA has uplifted and supported our children by welcoming them by name, giving them high 5s, and even as far as remembering that I needed my daughter to be out early for ballet class. We go to KIHA for regular skating sessions and for hockey practice. It's been almost 3 months straight and every single time we go, it has always been a positive experience on the rink and off! My daughter and I have been going here for the past few months regularly so we feel we know the place well. WE LOVE IT. it's clean, friendly, easy parking and just awesome VIBES! staff members are welcoming and amazing. They offer a variety of programs to help with skaters of all levels. Costs are very reasonable and the coaching is also great with private lessons as well as other learning to skate lessons. There is an arcade upstairs and they have upstairs parties regularly. we are planning to have my daughter's party later this year and she is super excited about it. My daughter is someone that can be very "picky" but at KIHA she is always excited to go. they have all you need (rentals, skate walker-devices). Seeing her confidence grow and finding something familiar to her has been amazing to see, all thanks to KIHA. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for a FUN time. read more

I've played inline hockey here for two seasons. It is a very clean rink with a very helpful staff. Their adult hockey league is very welcoming to both new and experienced players. I highly recommend signing up for a season to get some great and low impact cardio. read more

Skate like there is no tomorrow. Well, that's what I did and I paid for it cause I thought I was still 20 years old. Haha! My niece wanted a skating party and this was a great one indeed! The pizza was skating rink pizza which was aok with me. The ice cream was aok for a skating party too. You could trade from quad roller skates to online skates when you wanted to and it was well needed for me. I used to regular online skates but these were hockey in-line skates which was a foreign language to my aching feet and ankles. I switched to quads and was way more comfortable. The rink was clean and as big as a hockey rink so there was lots of space to skate around and get used to skating after 30 years of putting on skates. I was pleasantly surprised with everything here. I found out later that the cost was pretty good at 15$ for 2 hours with rental skates and an additional 5$ for 2 more hours. Check the website for the times of the open skating times. I would and will come back again! After this old guy recovers... haha! read more

Came in for the free skate on Saturday 4pm-6pm for my daughter's birthday. It was super easy to get everyone's wrist banned and skates. The kiddos enjoyed the 2 hrs and after we went upstairs to enjoy some pizza. It's nice that they let us bring in our own desserts. The price to skate to me was decently priced. $10 a skater and $5 to rent skates, but they wave it if you bring in your own skates, as long as they don't have black rubber stoppers. And if you want additional time, I believe it was just another $5. read more

Here's My daughter attended her classmate's birthday party here, and it was really nice. I didn't know about this place until then, as it's not located on the main streets we usually pass by. The skating rink is very nice, with great music. One side of the rink is designated for learners, which I found very convenient, as my son was able to skate as well. The prices are very reasonable. They also have games in the rink, like limbo, which I thought was cool. There's an upstairs area for birthday parties with tables and seating. There's also a food place upstairs to order from if you get hungry, and the prices are very reasonable. I would definitely recommend going here. read more

What a great addition to the Westside. From their website this fabulous find has been here awhile, but we recently made this awesome discovery. Our kids love it . So easy... you arrive at the time slot of your desired, pay for your skates and your in. Prices are amazing... $10.00 per session (2hours) and $5.00 to rent skates. * tip: return your skates before your session ends or you will be standing in a long line. Two sections to skate, very kid friendly, lots of areas to sit and enjoy watching your kids have fun and great music Food court offers great tasting pizza, soft pretzels, ice cream and much more. My favorite was the Root beer float (yummy). Clean bathrooms and a good amount of parking. Most people will leave once their session is over so parking rotates out every 2 hours. This is a great idea so there is barely no loitering. I was impressed with the security. Yes security and they are very visible so safety is taken seriously. They are very strict so checkout their website for more information. If not the security by the door will ask you to take it to your car before entering. This by far is way better then Ice Palace.... Our only complaint is the 2nd floor where our nieces party was held. Our host was always hard to find, and we were always having to wait on them for some of our party needs. My son and I went roller skating at Kapolei Inline Hockey Arenas for the first time this past weekend.  The Arenas is a place where players of all ages and skill levels can learn and play inline hockey, but they offer public skating on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Located in Kapolei, the arenas are huge with plenty of parking.  The public skate sessions are 2 hours per session and cost $10 per session and $5 per additional session.  The skate rental for roller skates or inline skates is $5.  If you forget socks, you can purchase for $2. Bags, backpacks, hats, jackets, vests with hoodies, and gum chewing are not allowed inside the building.  Be sure to check their website for the most up to date information. After we paid, we received a wrist band and stamp.  We then lined up to get our roller skates.  They will take your shoes in exchange for the skates.  There is a small area set up with walkers available in two different heights where beginners may practice.  You can take the walker with you in the main skating arena until you get the hang of it.  I hadn't skated in years, but apparently I wasn't the only one as people were falling all around us.  It wasn't a pretty sight, but we still enjoyed it.  My son eventually got the hang of it and he said he had a lot of fun and wants to go back.  Just after an hour of skating, we both needed a break and hit up the snack bar which had a lot of yummy options from hot dogs to ice cream. Such a cool fun hang out place for kids, teens and adults! This reminds me of ice palace minus the ice lol. Pretty cheap prices to skate, $10 for two hours. My pre teen had so much fun skating last night. I love the fact that they have a lot of security here patrolling outside as well as inside. No hats allowed... i asked why, from security: someone's hat flew off their head while skating and someone got hurt due the hat falling on the ground. We celebrated my 10 year old daughter's birthday last week. It was an AMAZING venue. Everyone who works there seems to love their job, always pleasant and helpful. We had a larger party with 40 skaters and about 35 non-skaters but it went SUPER smoothly. Prices were very reasonable, it included food, drink, skate rental, skate fee, papergoods, balloon bouquet and tables were decorated in our color scheme. They could go with inline skates or the traditional 4 wheel skate with the wrist band. All we had to do was bring party favors and glow bracelets for our guests. Sammy (Food prep), Kyrae (B-day party hostess), Relin (Party prep), and Ana (Snack bar attendant) were TERRIFIC, made every guest feel welcomed. read more

I always read the negitive reviews first to see if there's any issues, all negative views seem to have issue with their coach and somebody complaining that they felt ripped off because $10 an hour was too much to pay to take their kid to a safe clean environment for the afternoon. we attended a birthday party a while back. It was very clean and organized, so we decided to go back for the public skate, the gentleman at the front desk were very friendly and accommodating. The place is very clean and state of the art pay $20 for two hours to be in a clean, safe, air-conditioned, fun, environment was well worth it. Overall, everyone had a great time. If I could nitpick and find one criticism, it'd be nice if they had a water fountain, we will definitely be back. read more

If you plan to play hockey at kapolei inline--just don't. The establishment is unprofessional. They change schedules 30 minutes prior to games on game days. They cancel practice due to "rain" while still allowing public skate. The hockey director will send you millions of emails and text messages based on: conversations you have at the establishment, what you wear, and he will unprofessional belittle you infront of others. He yells at the kids, and volunteers. IF YOU PLAN TO VOLUNTEER, be prepared to have your 1st ammendment rights taken from you and if you plan to leave the establishment on your own Accord, the hockey director will give you a LIFE TIME BAN from the establishment. read more

We started taking both of my older kids prior to the pandemic to just skate around and have fun.. little did we know how much fun they would have! The pandemic hit and the arena had to close but when they opened my kids begged to return! Then it turned into we wanna learn hockey so this year we enrolled in learn to skate to ensure they had the right base, then Coach Doug recommended that they were ready for Learn to play hockey.. My daughter is working on her skills but my son took off flying! He loves talking about it to all his friends and teachers! He absolutely loves going here every week multiple times! let's Rollerskate Kapolei in-line hockey skating rink. They just opened up last weekend, they're open to the public on the weekends, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. They have two timeslots, 1 to 3 and 5 - $10 to get in, $5 to rent skates, $2 for a locker. They take cash or charge. Plenty of parking. Everybody super friendly and helpful. You can bring your own skates, ( incline skates or Rollerskate) but You cannot have a black stopper on your skate. They have a skate store if you need To purchase a new stopper, it was $18 For a new stopper. They have them in blue or white. They will put the stopper on for you. The place is air-conditioned. (thank you Lord, Jesus) The 40 and over ladies need air conditioning. There is a DJ Play music, they played a lot of old-school and mixed a few current songs in. They have training bars to use, for free, they are located in the hockey room. They have two rinks, one side is for hockey and one side for rollerskating They were people from all ages skating, Most were beginners. There were a handful of people that could really skate. This is a safe place for beginner/ adults like me . They have plenty of places for seating for spectators. They have bathrooms They are not serving food right now, but they do have vending machines The flooring is a little bit odd. The floor is made up of a whole bunch a little squares put together. You do fill it under your skates. i'm not sure if this is to slow people down?? But it is a whole lot better than skating on sidewalk or blacktop. Overall my friend and I had a fabulous time. They went above and beyond for our party. We had a birthday party scheduled for Skate Palace and they called the day prior to the party to cancel it due to a Zamboni issue. We were in trouble trying to schedule a party for the next day. We called and they said to show up early and they'd see what they could do for us. Bottom line- Alan (hope i spelled it correctly) was incredible to us and went above and beyond to ensure we were accommodated. He made the event special for our daughter. Thank you guys, again. Pricey, but incredible quality! I have taken many private lessons for a lot of different hobbies, never have I had a coach as detailed as the one from there. He broke down techniques to the smallest detail to make it as easy to comprehend as possible. He came prepared with a note sheet for my lesson and it had a detailed plan for my lesson with all of the techniques broken down. It even had next steps for how to improve on your skating. After several months, my skating has improved drastically and although the coach says you achieve it with your own effort, I definitely would not have gotten to this point without his guidance. read more

Checked out this spot with my ohana on a Saturday night (6 - 8 pm). Parking was easy to find. There was a security guard outside, but he said he only checks bags of teenagers for safety reasons. First of all, when we went inside, we stood in line to pay. Pretty much it cost $10 for admission plus $5 for rental skates. You can bring in your own skates too. They have lockers as well for your belongings. Anyways, the worker put on a wristband, for our skates. Afterwards, we went to the skate rental area. To make sure that you'll return their skates, you have to give them your footwear. However, for children no need. You can either pick roller skates or roller blades. Later, we made our way to an empty bench and put on our skates. From there we went on the rink. There are 2 rinks. One rink are for beginners... pretty much an area where you don't need to worry about fast skaters skating past you. The other rink is pretty much for both beginners/experts. Thank gawd they have like walkers to help you skate. However, there are only so much... so as soon as you see one just grab em quick lol. Also, they played some pretty good jams. What else... their food menu was pretty good and prices were cheap too. They have 2 different snack bars. The only con about this place is that it's not like ice palace where there's a bleacher/table/seating area. There are only like 4 benches to sit on. Upstairs is the party area. Overall, 2 hours went by fast. We returned our skates (make sure to put your laces back in your skates when you return em). We had a great time... my 7 year old wants to go back.
