My husband and I recently tried this restaurant after hearing it was one of the best places in Arcadia and since we are here quite often, we figured we would give it a try. I will say, considering that they are inland and in a very small less popular town the dog was pretty good, I wouldn't take it over most local places in Sarasota or Anna's Maria / Punta Gorda but for the location it was good. It is a hair pricey for the look of the building and presentation of the food however the service was fantastic and it felt very "homey". If we see are the area we might give it another go !

I had a meeting in this town and came to Magnolia due to the high rating and it definitely justified it. First off, staff were very polite and checked in very often. Refills were quick and answered all menu questions. I got the cajun pasta with chicken and shrimp. It was good but it was HEAVY so be away. Very rich and you can feel the heavy butter and cream. But that's how it is! Can't complain. The presentation and cook itself was spot on though.

I am so glad I got to try this restaurant before it closed down, (due to Hurricane Ian). We visited Arcadia to attend the Rodeo! Magnolia Streed Seafood was highly recommended by most locals and I must say it lived up to our expectations! The food was amazing!!! The restaurant façade is misleading, it does not look like much but once inside you find it spacious and accommodating. The staff is attentive and friendly, made us feel at home! My hubby had the Fish and Chips and I had one of my favorite dishes, Shrimp and Grits. Magnolia's version of this dish was interesting and delectable!! They emphasize the Shrimp and the sauce, grits to a minor degree. The combination works well and makes this dish memorable!! I hope this place comes back! It would be a great loss!!!

It's a cute little roadside shack that feels like it used to be someone's house. We went on a Friday night in March, there was a line, but we were seated right away on the outdoor sun deck. Super laid back, a little quirky, and the perfect setting to sit outside and get messy with seafood. Service was great. The staff works as a team and you can tell, everything moved quickly and everyone was helpful. Our main server was especially friendly and made great recommendations. The food is definitely meant for sharing. We split a dozen medium blue crabs, two dozen clams, gumbo, and a stone crab and shrimp special. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and reasonably priced for the quality. Nothing felt overpriced. Do not skip the key lime pie. It was the perfect ending. Overall, it's simple, casual, and really well done. I'd absolutely go back.

It's a cute small family owned and quaint place if you're in the mood for fresh seafood. (Most places in Charlotte County have frozen seafood and not fresh-always ask!!!) We were able to get a seat immediately and the wait staff was on top of everything and so friendly. My wife ordered the ceviche which was real good. Only thing to make it a little better would be to add some white fish to the recipe like most places do, but otherwise it was delicious. I had the fresh grill red snapper which was very good as well. Their sheaphead fish soup sample was very tasty, I will order that on next visit. Their coleslaw and corn was made to perfection. My wife is an excellent chef and for us to actually find a local place that was this good, was a wonderful experience. We will be back!

I looked at the outdoor bar but every single seat was taken. All the outdoor tables were booked. So I went inside and saw the inside bar was also full. A table for ten and a table for 6 had departed and needed to be bussed, but both were too much for just one person. So I checked in w the hostess and she asked - booth or table. I wanted table. I got a nice table by the river! Lovely views. Exactly what I wanted. Menus were dropped and soon, Sam was checking in on me. I was so hungry, I had looked at the menu and pics on my way there. I went for the crab cake appetizer and the Gold Wave cocktail. For my entree, I was torn between the Grouper Reuben and the Sea Dog (fried grouper on a long roll, topped with all sorts of goodness). Sam said grouper Reuben was his choice. He asked if I wanted grilled, blackened or fried. I told him to surprise me. For my side, I had the choice of (more) coleslaw (it has coleslaw instead of sauerkraut), fries, sweet potato fries, or a side house or Cesar salad for $4 more. I went w the house salad and their standard citrus vinaigrette. Salad and crab cake came out first. Salad was a huge portion- romaine (some pieces needed better washing), red onion galore, halved cherry tomatoes and cucumber slices. It was great, but needed croutons. The crab cake was the perfect size for one person. It had a whole grain mustard remoulade sauce. Yum! It had some filler but also had a lot of crab. I enjoyed it. The grouper Rueben came out hot!!!! Served with a side of coleslaw and a pickle. I added some needed salt. Boy that fish filet was huge. Sam had put it in grilled for me. Healthy. Nice. I ate half and then I was stuffed. I filled up on the salad and crabcake apparently. I enjoyed the views of boaters going by. It started to rain hard and the folks outside just stayed there. The overhang must've been protecting them well. My server, Sam, was around often to answer my questions. Apparently the grouper Reuben market price is only $21. And if you want redfish or mahi, the price is the same- $21! That's crazy. What a deal. The gold wave is made with Elijah Craig; Good ol Kentucky bourbon. And for dessert, they have cheesecake, peanut butter pie, mud pie, key lime pie, coconut sorbet and orange cake (which he says is a local favorite). I was too stuffed to buy but happy to hear the list. Overall I had a wonderful meal and service was really good. I would recommend adding croutons to the salad, and cleaning up the bathrooms regularly. This place ain't fancy. It's a dirt parking lot. The tables are naked. Folks come casual. However, the prices are great and the food does the talking. Come check them out.

We ordered an Arnold Palmer and a Ponce De Leon margarita, mozzarella sticks, shrimp basket, chicken fingers basket and (2) Florida orange cakes to go. Mozzarella sticks- average. Shrimp basket- good but tropical slaw was store bought with pineapple added. Chicken fingers- good not great, onion rings, good not great . Margarita- strong. Biggest problem- from 9-18 people just standing around talking, making staff walk around them. Other problems- some people just walk in past the front desk and just seat themselves ( the privileged). Total bill with tip $100 . Don't need to travel a half hour to just be ok. Won't be back.

I love Dry Dock Waterfront Grill and I always visit when I am in the Sarasota area. Dry Dock is always busy so I am also sure to make a reservation in advance using Open Table. The inside atmosphere is bright and airy and although airy often translates to loud, Dry Dock thoughtfully put noise dampening panels on the ceiling. As far as food, I don't think you can go wrong. I always get something with grouper whether it be an entree, sandwich or tacos. On my most recent visit I got the grouper filet with coconut shrimp because I had originally been eyeing up the coconut shrimp as an appetizer. Ultimately, we decided to get the rock crab claws for an appetizer which were good but more work than I planned even though they were pre-cracked. I felt like a Neanderthal trying to eat those crab claws in such a nice restaurant. No offense to the Neanderthals, of course! I have no idea what my husband had as it disappeared. After entrees, apps and bread, we were too stuffed for dessert. I think our server was Cari and she was awesome! Attentive, friendly, funny and quite possibly a mind reader and magician. She saw the hanger in my eyes and made bread magically appear. I hope I got her name correct because she was superb!
