We are in Arcadia every few months and were so happy to come across this new little place on our last trip as there aren't many good restaurants in this area. The restaurant itself is in one of the old downtown buildings and has been refurbished to be neat and well appointed. The menu had a bit of everything without being overwhelming. We started with the hush puppies and they were served with butter and honey and they were flavorful, crunchy outside, and moist inside. Nothing fancy but Perfect I ordered the crab cake sandwich and was surprised by how much crab was in it, nice lumps, not just a bunch of filler. Super tasty and moist -Fries were crisp and seasoned fantastic. Will definitely be back on our next trip read more

My husband and I recently tried this restaurant after hearing it was one of the best places in Arcadia and since we are here quite often, we figured we would give it a try. I will say, considering that they are inland and in a very small less popular town the dog was pretty good, I wouldn't take it over most local places in Sarasota or Anna's Maria / Punta Gorda but for the location it was good. It is a hair pricey for the look of the building and presentation of the food however the service was fantastic and it felt very "homey". I am a huge burger fan. Sometimes, fairly often, I just NEED ONE badly. I guess you could say I develop a craving. But not just for the burger itself. The whole presentation has to be just right. I was in Arcadia Florida and hit my Yelp app. I decided on the Arcadia Seafood & Grill. The burger portion of the menu is unique in that you pick the burger and simply add the items you want on it. No prior premade suggestions. I ordered an Angus burger with blue cheese crumbles and bacon on a brioche bun. Well darn if this little, ordinary- looking establishment doesn't make one of the best burgers in a 30 mile radius of my home! The fries are equally as good. The menu offers mostly seafood and I imagine those items are as good as the burger. And ask for Brittany. She's a nice young lady who does everything right. I'll be visiting again - soon. read more

I had a meeting in this town and came to Magnolia due to the high rating and it definitely justified it. First off, staff were very polite and checked in very often. Refills were quick and answered all menu questions. I got the cajun pasta with chicken and shrimp. It was good but it was HEAVY so be away. Very rich and you can feel the heavy butter and cream. I had lunch at the Arcadia Seafood and Grill 2 weeks ago on a Saturday. The restaurant is clean and inviting but you would not expect the food to be so excellent. My wife had clam strips that were tender and delicious (best I have had) with the right amount of batter. I had fried oysters that were cooked perfectly which is rare. We shared a cup of shrimp crab bisque that was also great. The service was fast and friendly so I would highly recommend this restaurant. read more

I am so glad I got to try this restaurant before it closed down, (due to Hurricane Ian). We visited Arcadia to attend the Rodeo! Magnolia Streed Seafood was highly recommended by most locals and I must say it lived up to our expectations! The food was amazing!!! The restaurant façade is misleading, it does not look like much but once inside you find it spacious and accommodating. The staff is attentive and friendly, made us feel at home! My hubby had the Fish and Chips and I had one of my favorite dishes, Shrimp and Grits. Magnolia's version of this dish was interesting and delectable!! They emphasize the Shrimp and the sauce, grits to a minor degree. The combination works well and makes this dish memorable!! I hope this place comes back! It would be a great loss!!! read more

The restaurant was very cute and clean. The server Rebecca's service was top notch! The food was presented in an excellent manner. The shrimp entree was huge, I did not expect so many shrimp. We had the special triple fin fish. It too was lovely but a little too heavy on the salt. We notice a young man cleaning the tables. I have never seen anyone do such a thorough job. This place has too many good reviews, I was convinced to come here. My father in law likes coconut shrimp which they no longer have and stated they haven't had in a long time. If you're used to eating food with FLAVOR, this is NOT the place. Food is bland. I ordered the shrimp po' boy, fried shrimp. I was served cocktail shrimp that was horribly battered, even with the tartar sauce and magnolia sauce it was lacking flavor. My husband ordered the burger that states it's grilled to your liking, did not taste grilled and required salt, again lacking in flavor. This place has that small country town feel. It resembles a diner on the inside. They were really busy when we got there with a couple large groups. The host was really nice & told us there was a wait but it wasn't too bad. The food was really good. I got the Scallop dinner with cole slaw, fries & hush puppies. I'm really picky about my scallops usually only liking the ones I cook but they did a great job of cooking them perfectly. The hush puppies were perfect as well as the coleslaw. My husband had the grilled shrimp but preferred my scallops. The shrimp was good but a little over done I think. The server was really nice & attentive. We will definitely go back. Arcadia's downtown area is cute but needs some love as several businesses were closed up. read more

This place is crazy good! I went for the first time on Friday, and I loved the food and sauces. The wait staff is so friendly. If I ever pass this way again, you bet I'll be stopping by and getting some fried oysters, Fresh catch of the day, or there is a smoked pastrami sandwich that is made by the Boss and his "Boss sauce," too. Driving through Acadia looking for some lunch and stumbled on this gem. This reminds me of my home state of Maine & the local diners. I ordered fish & chips with mashed potato & gravy, coleslaw, & hush puppies. My hubby ordered the fried oyster entree with fries and coleslaw. Everything was hot & delicious. I just had the Best Fried Shrimp I have ever eaten in Florida. The salad was incredibly fresh and the hand cut French fries were fantastic. There were plenty of other food items for different tastes. Great service and a very friendly place in Downtown Arcadia Florida. Definitely worth the trip to eat there. They are open Wednesday thru Saturday for lunch 11am - 2pm and dinner 4-8pm Wed & Thur. THE best hush puppies I have ever had. Like other reviewers stated, combining them with butter and honey was an amazing combo! The shrimp and grits (polenta) was great, and the sauce that covered it was to die for. My son had calamari, which were just average, but the fried oyster sandwich my husband ordered was full of flavor. In a historic part of an historic town in an old hotel from the 1900's is where you'll find the Magnolia Street Seafood restaurant. I found this on yelp looking for a lunch place about an hour east of Ellenton and it sounded intriguing. Following directions, I wasn't quite sure what we'd find as we drove closer to a strange old area of Arcadia. The restaurant fronts the street. Just past it around the corner are a few parking spots and there's also parking behind. As it started pouring, we parked behind what we thought was the restaurant hoping to enter via a back entrance. As it turned out, there is none and we got soaked walking round the corner to the front entrance in the windy, rainy afternoon. Being a bit wet and cool, we both opted for a cup of their "red" clam chowder. It was served piping hot with a small bag of oysterette crackers. Veggies and bits of clams, it was full of flavor. It was more a Rhode Island style than Manhattan, but still decent. Several items appealed from the menu. My absolute favorite fish -- pompano -- was on as a special. Unfortunately, it was only available as a dinner portion. They are open until 8 pm and the menu is similar for dinner as for lunch with some different specials (per the server). After seeing one of them go by, we both chose the fried oyster sandwich. The oysters were absolutely huge and lightly battered. They came on a toasted buttered bun. You could choose between sauces -- their Magnolia is a horse radish based sauce or you could opt for tartar or cocktail sauce. The side of well done (as ordered) fries were wonderful too. The fries tasted home cut and cooked -- not frozen. We were too full for dessert, but there's a chocolate cake with my name on it some time. So surprisingly good food in an off the beaten track (for us anyway) that when in the area next, we will purposely plan to come back. read more

This place was hopping busy on a Friday night when there was a Daddy Daughter dance at the local elementary school. Since there was a bit of a wait, I ordered to go. My grilled red fish was EXCELLENT!!! Loved the hush puppies. I ate two orders of broccoli with the tartar sauce and it was YUMMY!! My friend had the shrimp and grits and ate every bite. Us girls had a very enjoyable lunch here a couple of days ago. Started off with two appetizers the sweetened hush puppies and the extremely delicious and tender calamari. We decided to order a bottle of their cab because that's just what we do. After relaxing and thoroughly enjoying the ambiance we put in our lunch order. The apps had totally sated us but we felt we should order something besides apps. French dip was average and lean, steamed broccoli and a cup of soup. The veggies in the soup could have used a couple more minutes on the stove. While we loved the cab when we asked for an additional glass it was skunky. Didn't mention it to our server but did leave it on the table. Left a hefty 35% tip because we have fun wherever we go and we all should support our local businesses. read more

Found this place on Yelp. Yes it is a 5 star place with very friendly staff. Food was excellent. As they say back in Texas come hungry. Their portions are huge. My wife had the fish and chips with a side of coleslaw. They use fresh cut potatoes for the fries. Came out hot like it should be. See the photo more than enough fish plus loved the hush puppies I had the shrimp and grits. Big plate of nice hot food FYI the kitchen can make it less spicy (just the the waiter when you order). The sauce was fine for me but was a bit hot for my wife So we gave this 5 stars. Their hamburgers also look great. read more

First visit to the new location. We were always happy with the old restaurant and glad to see them back. Food was absolutely delicious- hubby had crab cakes and I had grouper cheeks. Both were excellent! The orange crumble cake dessert was one of the best desserts I've ever had in my life. Server staff were prompt, friendly and very attentive. Overall a wonderful experience.
