Being from Windsor, I've been getting pizza from Arcata for as long as I can remember. Whenever my brother would visit from Toronto, getting Arcata pizza would always be the first thing he wanted to do when he walked in the door because there is no place in Toronto that makes pizza as good as this. The pizza is delicious and made with home-made ingredients. There is a lot of ingredients to choose from and they are very accommodating with what you want (i.e. bacon on one side, ham on the other, peppers on both etc.) The crust is thick and doughy. It's obviously made with care. I find so many times at other pizza places they don't cook the pizza enough. Here, that never happens. It's perfect every time. They don't use a ton of sauce. Nothing's worse than a too saucy pizza. They have other things on the menu as well: appetizers, pastas, garlic bread etc. I've never tried any of these, however. My 2 complaints: 1. It's kind of expensive, and the prices seem to keep going up. 2. The last time I went there to pick it up, I came on time but I still had to wait a long time still. read more

I am actually not a huge fan of pizza. In general I find it just okay, but sometimes the family wants it or a craving hits and you just want something quick and easy. But their pizza is good. Really good. I think they have the best sauce in Windsor. Arcata is the only place I actually like their pizza. So quick, easy and good makes Arcata the only place I would choose. very good pizza with excellent quality toppings. the crust is thin and you can tell its homemade. we had the doc favourite. it had really good feta cheese, mozzarella cheese, some herbs (i think), garlic, sundried tomato. my husband added bacon, i feel like they were very light handed with the bacon. all toppings were superb. I would order it again. the only down fall was the medium pizza was $30, which is expensive. i kind of expect a large for that price. however it was very good and i can understand why its expensive with the higher quality toppings. read more

I outright cancelled the order last time I tried to place an order here because the person on the phone was so rude when I called to order. this time I thought I'd bypass the attitude and order through skip. my pizza arrived in a complete jumbled mess. when I called the store the owner hung up on me saying he was "too busy to talk to you lady". We used to order from here all the time but it got too pricey and we stopped. In spite of the cost, we always had a good pizza. We decided tonight to order for a special treat. Cost was $40 for a large pizza. It was overcooked, sparse on toppings, too thin a crust and fairly tasteless. The cost of this is more than most Windsor Style pizzas. Arcata Pizza is my go to pizza place when I'm in the mood for pizza. The pizza is always and I mean always exactly the same. I've never once and said, "the last one was better, or this one is better". They are consistent in their pizza, quality, taste and price. The staff are very friendly both on the phone and in the restaurant, always pleasant with a smile. My only criticism of Arcata is that if you are ordering a pizza for delivery in the cold and winter months, don't. The delivery personnel always bring the pie to the door without the pizza bag. Furthermore, they wait until the transactions have cleared before handing it over. Therefore, by the time we get the pizza into the house it is lukewarm to cold. Except for that, it is a great pizza. I tend to forego delivery in the colder months and opt for pick-up, this way I can ensure a hot pizza for family dinner. read more

Nothing special. I ordered for delivery to my hotel room, was told 45 minutes to an hour. I called at an hour and 10 minutes, was told it should be there. Took another 20 minutes. Pizza was not hot, more like warm at best. Prices are stiff for what you get. Quality was average at best. Go elsewhere. read more

Worst customer service I've ever experienced! I paid for a large pizza with certain toppings and they left three of them off in which I paid for. When I called to complain, he basically only offered me 20% off on a new pizza which I drove all the way from Lasalle to pick up in first place and I said no I will not be back after. They wanted old pizza back in these Covid times ( 3 slices missing) and for me to drive all the way back to get a new pizza to pay again!! When I told him no 20% off he hung the phone up. Then in person walked in with the pizza to get a refund after talking the the female manager and he told me he'd call the cops if I didn't leave and wouldn't refund my money bc there are missing slices. So he took 95% of my pizza back and 100% of my hard earned money . All he had to do was offer me a fresh baked new pizza and say sorry for the mistakes. What horrible customer service. Had pizza delivered , wasn't to happy with it was expecting a closer to hot or atleast warm but it was closer to normal temp. The pizza it self is alright I didnt get all the toppings disrupted evenly I had pick off some of my toppings to give my kid that wanted mushrooms . To be clear, this review is for Arcata's Keto pizza not their regular wheat flour crust pizza. It has been years actually since we've ordered their regular crust pizza but we were never fans of that pizza either. There are a number of very good pizza restaurants in Windsor and each has its own style and flavor. Everyone I've ever spoken to seems to have their own favorite and often our favorite (which is Armandos) is at or at least near the top of everyone's list. In this case I am reviewing their Keto pizza and yes I know that Keto anything isn't going to be anywhere near as good as good as anything non-Keto but this was truly horrible. When we called to ask for an opinion on it the person that answered said she had never tried it which should have been our first clue. The short story is that they charged us an extra $7 for the Keto version of their pizza (which in retrospect is criminal) but quite honestly it was the worst pizza I've ever had. I've literally had $5 frozen pizzas that were better than this. We picked up the pizza exactly when they told us to, in 20 minutes (which is another red flag) and we live 5 minutes away but when we got the pizza home was not quite lukewarm. The crust, which we were told is made of almond flour crumbled in pieces when you picked it up. The crust was about a 1/4" thick so just like one of those cheap frozen pizzas you would buy at Zehrs. Actually the Zehrs pizza would have more flavour though. I know that anyone reading this will say that perhaps our expectations for a Keto pizza were too high but if a restaurant is going to promote or sell anything I would expect that it would be tried and tested before they sell it and if it didn't meet their expectations they would not sell it. To me there is no way that they did that because this product is horrible. We ordered this at dinner time on a Saturday night so again the fact that we were able to pick this up in 20 minutes says a lot. If you were to call Armandos on a Saturday at dinner you would expect to wait at least an hour because they are so busy. Unfortunately this will be our last time ever buying anything from Arcata. read more

I heard they started shawarma pizza so I ordered. It took only about 20mins to downtown area and the pizza was great! Never thought shawarma and pizza together but two of my favorites go together very well. Also, their bread sticks are really good. I like the chewy texture. Recommending! read more

I just had to try this place because their sign is much larger than the actual building and it always made me laugh whenever I'd drive by. Recently I heard that they had gyro and shawarma pizza and I had to try it. The pizza tastes great and the owner was courteous and so friendly. As soon as I got home I recommended it to my brother.
