Fresh, divine seafood of various types (just call ahead to make sure they've got it, or a restaurant might have bought them out already) at very reasonable-to-borderline-cheap prices. I moved here from Staten Italy (Yes, I'm a guinea, don't judge me). I missed so many luxuries about the Italianized neighborhoods; a butcher, Pastosa, deli's that don't skimp on using at least a half a pound of Boar's Head cold cuts, and my fish monger. Not the nicest building or the nicest neighborhood but the staff and fish are great. My cousin asked if I could stop on the way to his house warming party to pick up the fish. Called in to see if they had what we wanted and unfortunately didn't have the sushi grade salmon, but they had tuna! Salmon runs out pretty fast according to the owner, so make sure to call in thurs or fri before the weekend. We got a lb of sushi grade tuna for $19.99, which is a steal! I ordered the crabs and the oysters from Archar. The crabs were cooked to perfection. so much flavor In the legs. The people are in nice in there and will give you your money worth. The price at this place is outrageous to a point where I walked out feeling ripped off. It's a hole in the wall place, so we're not talking about some exotic, sushi grade fish place. I picked up 4 pompano fishes. I've been eating pompano fish most of my adult life and normally runs around $5-6 a fish, so should have cost around $20-25 for 4. The total here came out to $48 dollars!!! We were also going to pick up a bass until we realized the small bass came out to more than $45 dollars, which was ridiculous..we told them we didn't want it. Some reviewers have alluded to the ridiculous price, but unfortunately I missed those before going to this place. Will not be going back read more

Mike and his staff were unbelievably personable and friendly. I felt like I had been there 100x before. And the food? I've been on a search for crab legs like the ones I ate near Maryland Eastern Shore for almost 3 years. I've tried MANY seafood restaurants and markets. While the fish is fresh, if they don't open their mouth and just give yes or no answers to your questions the experience might be better. Archar is very condescending and a hint of racist.. Upon walking in I was immediately greeted by the workers who not only just did the standard hello but inquired how I was doing. In speaking with the lady at the register I was telling her it was my first time coming in and that's when the owner walked out. He was so warm and welcoming and even offered to give me a few more crabs as it was my first time. I declined as it was only myself eating them so instead I received a bag of his house seasoning. HONEY let me tell you that stuff is Amazing!!! I put some on my crabs and fried fish and it was next level! The crabs I bought were perfectly cooked and didn't taste mushy or overdone like some places I've brought in the past.
