Korean supermarket @ Belle Mead, NJ The market is as big as Hmart in Edison, NJ but cleaner and less crowded. I usually come Friday to Sunday after reviewing their weekend sale flyer on the website. I usually do not buy banchan and Korean rice cake from Hmart since they don't taste authentic. The banchan at Kasia are made by two Korean ladies and they said MSG were not used. I tried sauteed bell flower and seasoned sesame leaves and they tasted excellent. Also, the rice cake tasted great. Their fresh chodang soft tofu tasted so good when I made soondubu stew at home. The local fuji apples were juicy and sweet and Chinese vegetables on sale were very fresh. The belt fish were cleaned thoroughly. But beef chuck eye steak was too tough and wasn't trimmed thoroughly. They also have sushi/sashimi and fried chicken to be ordered and can be eaten at the dining area when you walk in. read more

I was excited to see an Asian market this side of Somerset - we either go to HMart in Edison or our local Indian market for our needs. The Hillsborough area seems a bit of a desert in that regard. The IG influencer who posted about it had me hype to experience it for myself. Overall, it was a bit of a miss for me, though. However I realize I am not the intended target so take what you will and leave the rest. The great: -bright, open, airy, and not crowded. The spot in Edison hits 3 out of 4 but best believe the entire tristate area is in that store morning, noon, and night. -great value on some produce items. I got a 1.5lb container of the assorted tiny tomatoes. Those things eat like candy and I only paid 2.99 for them! I've been enjoying a tomato salad every night for the past week! -South Asian food items. This could cut down on the need to go to different markets because it operates as more of a one stop shop. They also have Halal meats! -great customer service - it made me want to come back The not as great: -I found some great deals on some of the produce but overall prices were pretty high - higher than similar markets and higher than mainstream markets like Stop n Shop and Shop Rite. -the hot bar/serving line was small but mighty. However the quality wasn't quite there. My husband said his orange chicken tasted "old" and the sausage dish I sampled tasted the way it looked. Like hot dogs in peppers. The market is newish and I think it will find its way. It's great that this side of town has a place they can go without having to schlep to Rt. 1 Still it feels like many things along the Belle Mead/Princeton strip - overpriced for what you get. read more

Such a cute lil market and food court area!! Kasia Market offers a similar stock to places such as H-mart and at pretty decent prices. It is so clean and organized nicely as well. The star of the show had to be the Hungry Tiger - with awesome food choices of sushi, bowls, chicken wings, banana pudding and bobas! We ordered the half & half wings are they were soo crunchy and full of flavor. I also got an ube banana pudding and I was OBSESSED! I ordered a black sesame latte as well and it had a very potent flavor to it. This place is definitely worth a visit for lunch. read more

We usually have to drive an hour or more just to go to an asian grocery store like hmart or 99 ranch, so I was so happy when I found out an Asian grocery store was opening about 30 mins from us! The store is big and has a variety of food. The place has almost the same things as 99 ranch and hmart. There were a couple samples out as well. On one side, they also have an eating area/cafe. This was a little small but I liked how you could get hot platters, bibimpab, fried chicken, shaved ice, bubble tea, sushi, gimpab and other food. The food is a little expensive and not the best I've had, but it's good. read more

I saw (soft) opening a new Korean market on the way back from Philly and wanted to check it out. Clean, a lot of space between the isles, fresh fruits and samples. They even have a "growcery" for plants in a sunny spot in front of the market. Very cool. We started with food area. Ordered a box to stay. And ordered soy chicken platter. Ube for dessert. The chicken came out freshly cooked. Well made, so delicious, the star of the show! The prepared food wasn't good. Noodles and chicken were both cold. Skip and go to the kiosks. Ube dessert was also excellent. Did some grocery shopping. Nothing too different than other Korean markets but definitely worth a visit when you are in the area or live locally. read more

You can find just about anything Asian here and more. There is also a section where they sell Korean and Asian Specialty items. Kasia offers an array of spices, wasabi's, seaweed,sauces of all kinds,mayos, exotic fruits, fresh vegetables, Asian vegetables of all kinds,fresh meats including goat, fish, fresh sushi, some fish are frozen, rices, vinegars, cooking wines, drinks and imported sodas, dairy products including yogurts, ketchups, and packaged goods, and dry goods, this place is for you. I spent a good hour or so walking around. There is so much to see it was a bit overwhelming. I took home some exotic plums, melons,beautiful exotic mushrooms, tri colored grape tomatoes that were on sale and very reasonably priced. I also bought Shaoxing cooking wine. So excited that Kasia Market isn't too far from me! It's like a less crowded, newer, H- mart with a hydroponic growing center, local duck and chicken eggs, and an excellent food court (with excellent fried chicken, daydream worthy banana pudding, and build your own rice bowls). I can't wait to come back here and discover more things. Still so jazzed that my 5 pack of mini cucumbers was 1.99 and my huge wild wonder tomatoes were less than half what I've seen elsewhere! LOVE how close this spot is compared to Kam Man and Hmart. When they first opened, inventory was still being filled out but now that a few months have passed they are in full swing! The hot bar/food court is a nice treat on the way home from errands and a decent deal for a lot of food. The fish section is FANTASTIC! We've been waiting for Kasia to open since we saw their sign. We went there on their first day, apparently everyone in the neighborhood was there too LOL. The produce section was really nice, clean and fresh. The price is comparable to Chinese supermarkets 30 min away. The seafood and butcher sections were huge and impressive. Now let's talk about the food we've been waiting for...the fried chicken from Hungry Tiger was crunchy and delicious. They had mango or strawberry bingsoo, yum! The hot food section offered good variety and it's charged by weight. What we tried was delicious. They were very busy being new and super busy, give them some time to get the process down. We during their soft launch period so all the shelves weren't stocked yet and it wasn't packed with people. But overall prices are decent and love the mix of offerings in the store from Asian produce to American and Indian dry goods. The meats was most memorable with dry aged cuts. Also had a fresh and clean seafood section. The refrigerator portion is smaller than some other Asian grocers (ie. 99 ranch or Hmart). A unique feature is their hydroponic growing station at the front of the store. The harvest which they sell in produce. Also a local partnership with mushroom farm that displayed more mushroom types than one might find at a grocery store. Excited for this new market in the area and going back once they're fully stocked. read more

I was thoroughly impressed with Kasia's Market. The place is really well stocked with all kinds of Asian groceries. What really stood out to me was the food court, though small, it is the best one I've come across inside an Asian market. The banana bread pudding? Incredible. It reminded me so much of a well-known spot in NYC, I wouldn't be surprised if the baker used to work there. It's seriously that good. I also tried the mango bingsu and it was so refreshing, and made with real mango (none of that fake syrupy stuff). The dalgona bubble tea was a surprise hit for me. I'm not even a coffee person, but I genuinely enjoyed it. Not too sweet, not too strong and if you do love coffee and boba, you'll be obsessed. The wings were perfectly crispy and cooked to order, which made a big difference. And the bibimbap? Super satisfying and it left me full and happy. I went to check this place out last night since it was very close by my house , i was very impressed with the cleanliness of this place , and how you can truly find anything you're looking for at this place. I then wandered off to the food court and I was just looking and this gentleman who was tall with his hair slicked back came out to greet us he was extremely kind and very helpful I wish I got his name but he's what led me to put this review I hope he gets recognized everyday for being a kind person and very welcoming. While they have a great selection and ready made foods were great, but what really made this place shine for me was the care the staff showed when my young daughter turned around to run in the store and hit her face on a metal pillar at the end of an isle. She screamed, cried, and her nose began to bleed profusely. It was quite a scene. Then at least 6 concerned staff members came by to help; taught her how to hold her nose to stop the bleeding, get tissues, get her ice, a chair to sit down on, a mango ice cream to calm her down, check on her. I am tearing up as I think about their genuine care as they wiped her nose. It's one of those kindnesses that forever endears a place and its people to you. Thank you again. read more

They have Good Asian selections some are cheap and some of the items is more expensive compared to the other Asian grocery store. Had bad experience buying fresh raw chicken thigh on sale. When i opened the package the chicken was very smelly seems like it the reason why they put it on sale was it was old. Called the grocery they said to return it. My mistake that i did not check that they have 7 days return policy. Staff was not help ful and the way she spoke to me was sarcastically telling me to next time to read my reciept and that they have a policy.. Told me next tome to bring it. I explained on the phone it was really smelly and i just throw it out immediately.Seriously good thing i did not cook or eat the raw chicken i bought. I can't wait to get a roast to make from them. Last but not least delicious prepared hot Korean Foods in the Hungry Tiger and the food bar. Best wings, crispy and delicious. Bulgogi and much more. Food is weighed to minimize waste. The owner gave my wife a VIP tour just because he is so proud of what he accomplished. The place is spotless, light, airy and very friendly. I'm so happy Kaisa Market opened in the neighborhood! It's beautifully stocked, super clean, and thoughtfully laid out--not at all like a big-box store, which gives it a much more personal and welcoming feel. Even though it's brand new, it already has the heart of a true neighborhood market. I love the blend of Korean and broader Asian offerings--and the prepared dishes they make on-site are a nice bonus (even for a vegetarian like me!). Dennis, one of the partners, helped me on my second visit and stood out right away as someone who genuinely values community. That makes it even more meaningful to support a place like this.
