Excellent food and good service. I've been going for years. Try the pretzel sticks with cheese dip for an appetizer! Food is cooked to order and served promptly. 3.5 stars for food 1 star for service A group of 10 of us came to Archers after a scooter ride to Daddy Katz. I know a group of 10 is not a small group but its not THAT big. After we got seated which happened fairly quickly it took FOREVER for anyone to come even to say hello and get our drink orders. A few servers stopped by and said that Anna(?) would be our server and because of the size of the group they didn't want to get our drink orders. This happened at least three times before our server came and finally took our orders for drinks and food. The food took a while but when it came it was hot and good. Nothing amazing but your typical fair. I had the Texas burger which I ordered medium and came out much closer to medium-well to well done but it was still good. My girlfriend ordered her club without lettuce or tomato which they did not get right and another in our group ordered a pulled pork with the coleslaw on the side which it came on the sandwich. Refills were slow to come by for everyone as were straws for said refills. By the time we wanted our checks we had to explain the bill situation a handfull of times and they still got it wrong. A few people in the group said that they usually get great service there but to me it seemed like the servers just didn't care about our group and we were an annoyance to them. I may give Archers another chance when I'm in the area but it wouldn't be my first choice. read more

I must say, I was recommended this place a few times by a co-worker and I finally decided to take my girlfriend on a date here. We were not disappointed, the service was great, kept getting check on if everything was good and filling our drinks. And the food, the FOOD. My girlfriend ordered the boneless wings and she was in love with them. We got the potato skins as an appetizer and I must say those were the best potato skins I've had in years. With one of the Miami Valley's best game stores--Epic Loot--just nearby, it was almost a given that I'd find myself at Archer's. And, honestly? Pretty much any time we're down at Epic Loot, we can guarantee a stop at either Archer's or Lock 27 across the street. Of the two, Archer's is definitely the bigger and bolder, with a sizable restaurant and bar area with tons of seating. While not quite as intimate as Lock 27, they still provide a great array of drinks, featuring local spirits and beers, which is a definite plus. But, really? I'm not there for the drinks; I'm after the food. The pretzel sticks at Archer's are toothsome and tasty, with some housemade beer cheese, but if you're looking for an appetizer, give their chili a run. It's made with a mix of ground beef, sirloin steak, and chorizo, which provides a unique, spicy bite. There's also just a touch of honey in there, which provides a much desired sweetness to the background heat of the spicy chili. Better yet, it's *actual* chili. No beans to be found! Kudos on that! Jules loves Archer's signature "Sticky Burger"--a burger with peanut butter, served on a pretzel bun. I tended to prefer their upscale grilled cheese, especially with bacon and a bit of tomato. Their sandwich is served with a spicy mustard, which provides just a bit of sharp sourness to cut through the richness of the cheese and bacon. Om nom nom! Our last time out at Archer's was up to par, but I'm just a touch worried about their service staff, who seemed on the verge of being overwhelmed on a busy Thursday night. Even still, the staff was competent, polite, and pleasant, if just a touch frazzled. If you're in the mood for a neighborhood bar with some local offerings and some neat menu items, Archer's is well worth your time and your money. While I might like Lock 27 just a touch more, both are great choices! read more

This place is always overcrowded and in my opinion, over priced. Their food was ok, nothing amazing or memorable that will make me want to come back any time soon. We waited 30+ minutes for our orders which consisted of soups, burgers, and sandwiches. If you have a weekend off and want to catch a game, then this place is perfect since you will have time to spend at their bar area. But if you have a baby or toddler, you might want to look somewhere else. read more

My wife and I love Archer's is reasonably priced, fun atmosphere, and great selection of food and beer. I've never really had a bad time here. It can definitely get crowded at peak meal times and after Centerville high school games. But aside from that it's great. I recommend the Great Scott or a pizza. read more

Met some friends here around 8 pm one evening and it was not too busy. The ambience was fun and relaxed. The food here was great, American cuisine. The only "issue" I had with this experience was the waiter made us feel rushed. After we ate he was clearing everything off, which was fine but he would constantly come back around, not to check to see how we were but rather act irritated we were still there. I would go back and give this place another shot. Can't blame them for the behavior of a staff member. read more

My first time here.was over all impressive. Other than waiting an additional 20 min past our quoted wait time, given we had a large party so it wasn't that bad. However, with no call ahead seating or reservations its hard to get in. Their tables are mostly boths so not really great for a bigger group unless you split up. The hostess that sat us so sweet and poliet. You could tell they had been very busy, and she still smiled without hesitation. Our server was quick and accurate, she didn't miss a step. We had 3 young adults with us and she treated them like adults. Our table had the shrimp po' boy- said to be a little heavy on the batter, the fish and chips-delisious. The texas burger, pulled pork sandwich, fish sandwich and citrus salad I am told were good, everyone cleaned their plate. I had the cheddar bacon chicken sandwich; it was great, tender juicy chicken topped with quality cheddar cheese and crisp bacon. The fries seemed lime fresh cut, lime the carnival fries with the skin on. We split a slice of cheesecake, toffee chocolate I believe and it was amazing. It was a huge slice, creamy rich and perfect. Food is always just meh. Not terrible but not really good either. Service is slow and not very efficient either. They seem really proud of this place, but my family and I cannot figure out why. We've been here a handful of times and every time I question why we came. This last time was for brunch. I ordered a Bloody Mary and was offered the "make your own" Bloody Mary bar but opted for the bartender to just make me one. That was a mistake... it came with a rotten lime wedge and a lemon wedge. WTF?! No veggies... how come? What is this a frat party house? The waitress was kind enough to let me "upgrade" to the make your own which had an ok selection of veggies. I told the bartender that my one I received was the worst I had ever had. To which she replied to me very snobby "well that's why we have the make your own bar!" Again...WTF!? I told her the attitude was not necessary which now I received the child response of "I didn't give you an attitude." I asked to speak to her boss, who took his sweet time coming out. I informed him the bartender was rude and disrespectful. To which he responded that he disagrees and that she is awesome. I said "well ok". Then he wanted me to go off and talk with him privately. No thanks, you don't care about my complaint as a customer, so why should I talk to you privately? Well..that is it for this place. Never going back. Been going to Archers at least once a week since they opened. They run a tight ship and have hired some great staff. Food is great and have a large selection of beer. Wednesday is when they tap a new beer each week for their "year of beer" celebration. I highly recommend the pizza and wings. read more

I was here for the first time a few weeks ago and can't wait to go back. I went for lunch with my other mama friends and our babies so it wasn't overly crowded, which was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had quite a few people tell us that our babies were all so good and that they loved having us. The menu is huge and has lots of options. I got the Reuben, with corned beef, and it was great. Not overly greasy and perfectly balanced. My side was the regular french fries, which was just ok. I would probably get something else next time. The kids menus is AMAZING priced. Nothing over $8 like some other restaurants. The Grilled Cheese I got for my daughter was really good and she enjoyed it. I will definitely return to Archer's really soon to try more of their food. read more

Archer's is a really great place to go for a craft beer and excellent "bar" food. The Sticky Burger is may favorite thing on the menu. It's a bacon cheeseburger with peanut butter on it. Awesome variety of beer and food. The menu is printed to look like a newspaper! Super cool! Our waitress was super courteous and though she didn't know everything about every beer (who would) she gave me a few suggestions and brought me out a couple "baby beer" samples. Result: her suggestions were on point! If you're trying to cut back on the beer, ask for a baby beer size instead of the larger glasses. My husband and I stopped in for lunch at Archer's in Centerville last Friday (9/10/21) while out running errands. We had never been there before, but several friends had said good things about it. I had a hamburger (mushrooms, swiss cheese & sautéed onions) and my husband had an Italian sub. We were both VERY PLEASED with the food and the service. The young man who served us was very attentive without being intrusive (usually hard to find) and the food was delicious. Tasted more "home made" than many restaurants and the hamburger was cooked exactly as I had asked (pink in the middle) and was very juicy. We don't eat out a lot because I usually find myself saying "I could cook it better than this at a fraction of the price!" but I'm not saying that about Archer's. We'll be back! I haven't been there in awhile but just went the other day. I got my old order the black and bleu burger because I remembered I liked it. Well I was disappointed. The burger was too salty and it didn't help that the bleu cheese was also salted as well. I even tried scraping the cheese off to make it less salty haha that just made a mess. I could see what they were trying to do by making the burger salty and having their fries plain. It would've been the perfect combo if they didn't over season the burger. To add to that I did not like their coleslaw at all. The coleslaw was a vinegar base but it was too sweet and just too much vinegar flavor. The only positive comment I have was that their fried pickles was good. I expected the chip style but surprisingly they cut it up long ways and it was more like a French fry which I thought was neat, different. read more

Archer's is a good, relaxing place to grab a bite to eat. They have a good selection of drinks, especially their craft beers which switch up / rotate depending on the season and availability. They also have decent bar-type food as well. I really like their pretzels, their sweet potato fries, and Archer's was actually the first tried fried pickles which I ended up really liking. Their service is also pretty good, the waiter usually spends some time going over some highlights of their drink and food menu. Price is decent as well. read more

My wife and I and our family of 8 love Archers. However the continual price increases have driven us away. 27.00 for two cups of chili and 12 wings. I believe it was 2 years ago the wings were a little over 10.00 for 10 wings. Now it is 6 or 12. Well 6 is 7.51 so 15.02 for 12 wings. Are they 15.02 good? Not since I discovered the instapot, air feyer and the broil option in my oven. I am not trying to be smart, but the prices are getting a bit yoo high for us. Am I strapped for cash? Always, I have 6 kids to raise. Lol. But in all honesty, I dont find them staying open. We will see though. In the meantime, I will be taking my business elsewhere. SOMETHING HAS CHANGED! had a very poor experience. 1) warning @ their staple name sake beer is not the same. We ordered an Archer Ale and instead of a smooth crisp beer it was sour and hoppy - almost "skunky." After 2 others in our group tried it - it was deemed undrinkable and returned. Only to reappear on our bill. After discussion with staff - it was not removed! 2) SOMETHING HAS CHANGED! we An old standby - bufallo chicken wrap was 3/4 filled with shredded lettuce. Very little chicken, tomato or other ingredients. It made Subway taste good. Not sure what is going on there but a local favorite is starting to dive. A staff decision to keep a $4 charge on a returned item is not good business and like the skunky beer - leaves a sour taste in ones mouth. SOMETHING HAS CHANGED! read more

Good food with an excellent beer selection. Long have I searched for a place in this area with both and I feel I have finally found it in Archer's Tavern. I waited till after my third visit to write the review just to be sure. As expected the dinner last night was perfect as it was the two times before. I say this even after dealing with a 30 minute wait because they were slammed. I honestly DON'T mind waiting that long if it's worth it though. They are slammed on weekend nights for a good reason. It's the best food & beer combo in the area without a doubt. So be forewarned about the wait during primetime on Friday & Saturday. If you go with a party of 10 during that time expect to wait an hour to be seated. Party of 2-4 expect to wait 20 - 30 minutes. The wait staff has been excellent each time despite being busy. Fast 1st drink order, fast refills without you having to beg, and the food comes out quickly. The beer selection is off the charts good and gets refreshed monthly. You can tell the bar manager actually loves beer and loves trying new things which is actually a rarity nowadays. Foodwise the menu is huge so you are bound to find something good. I've had the Brandon burger, boneless hot wings, and pizza. All three were good solid choices with the burger probably being the best. DON'T get the wing and a prayer sauce it is thermonuclear hot. After seeing the manager on the news my husband stopped in for lunch on Friday Sept 4 about 1:30. the place wasn't busy and we ask to sit outside since the weather was so nice. there was only 2or 3 other table being occupied there was 1 female and 1 male waiters that kept coming and going, unfortunately neither acknowledged us. We sat there for about 15-20 min finally another waiter stopped at our table on his way to another table, evidently we were not in his section and ask if we had been waited on. At this point we were done, told him we were leaving and going somewhere where we could get waited on. The manager complained about business be poor because of the early closing and liquor sales....maybe he should concentrate on getting his wait staff to wait on the customers in a timely manner. thank you to the gentleman who did stop at our table, but we will not be returning to Archer's and take our business to those who appreciate it. read more
