Absolutely the only place you should go to for all your archery needs whether it's getting a new bow or getting an old bow fixed. These guys are seriously the best! The Customer Service is beyond bad ass! I'm new to bow hunting and I'm new to buying a bow. I bought a bow. I took it in. They fixed it then took me into the range just to give me some pointers and help me out. Chase went over and beyond even hooked it up with a some merch!! I basically got a free shooting lesson. Where do I start? Walked in with two bows that really needed some work. Tyler helped us and went the extra mile by helping me with my form for over an hour. He was amazing and a ton of help! When all was said and done, he only charged us for a peep tie and a nock, said that if we ever needed help to get our bows shooting, he would make sure we got them right. Great indoor spot for archery. The staff is great and helpful and they have a good amount of items and gear as well. The archery range is pretty tight/narrow if the place is packed, but everyone is respectful. The handful of times I've come here, I've had fun. I'm an outdoorsman (a mountain climbing guide and wilderness EMT, lifelong rifle hunter and fisherman), but new to owning a bow. After borrowing my buddies rigs for years, it was time to get my own and what a wonderful experience at Archery Country. If you ever go there ask for my new pal, Tank! He's a good Texas boy and just 100 proof! Extremely helpful, thorough with testing bows out, conscious with what was necessary for my rig and not just adding stuff to the order. Staff is friendly are so are the 'regulars' customers. For about a month I came here almost everyday to train for an upcoming bison bow hunt. Every unsolicited archery advice from the customers I accepted. I was terrible when I first started but I was shooting pretty well by the time it came down to the hunt. The staff was so helpful especially the heavy set guy (sorry I forgot his name) but he was awesome. He helped me set a nocking point in my traditional long bow. I stopped in here the other day because I'm looking to get back into archery. I was impressed by the place, particularly the service. Mike immediately came up and asked if I needed any help. He then spent the next 20 minutes answering all of my questions, and letting me shoot a few bows on their range. Their selection is somewhat limited, though for what I'd be doing it's perfect. I especially liked the Samick Sage bow, at a #35 pull (I could go higher, but I want to get my form down before I move onto higher weights...plus I wouldn't be doing any hunting, just target shooting). I also would like to see more American-made products (Samick is Korean), but then again the same could be said of most places, so I won't fault them for that. Anyway, I decided to wait on the bow until I had a bit more spending cash, and I'll be back for that Samick. Mike also told me that when you purchase a bow from them, you get 5 hours of range time for free. I'll definitely come in to shoot some arrows on their range until I can buy the bow ($10/hr, I think). Unless they have another, longer range, I feel that this place is better suited to beginners and intermediate level archers. But the service really was outstanding, and when I do plan on purchasing a bow, it will be from Archery Country. read more

Just wow! Huge thanks to "Tank" for showing me the ropes. I went in knowing very little about bow hunting or how to hold the bow properly, how to draw the bow properly, etc. etc. Tank recognized this and went above and beyond to get me excited about a new and fun sport. He took his time and explained things slowly and with great detail. He wasn't trying to get me in and out of there. He was very observant and was incredibly helpful. I walked in with a second hand bow and ZERO experience, and I walked out less than an hour later with six arrows in the bulls-eye. Not to mention he sized me up, added two more inches to my draw, dropped a few pounds off the draw, custom cut six new arrows for me and I bought a hat and all that came up to less than a hundred bucks! Great store! Great staff! I won't be going anywhere else for any of my archery needs! My experience in there yesterday created a customer for life! read more

I bought a hickory longbow online, to play around with out in the country. Had no idea about proper arrows, so after reading the Yelp reviews decided to give them a try. Friendly greeting 10 sec after coming through the door, told the gentleman the type bow and pull weight, and he walked right over to a bin and recommended the right arrows - added that for that weight, they would need refletching, but they could do that and I could pick up at my convenience. As I was from out of town, I had push it off till the next weekend - called on Thursday for pickup Friday, they were ready for pickup and work great. Time in store, each time, 5 minutes tops. But I felt that they would have spent any amount of time needed had I had more questions, or needed more assistance. read more

I gave these guys another chance and I'm glad I did. There customer service was great and they've hired some new faces that have really made the environment more novice friendly. I've upgraded to a compound bow and they've yet to steer me wrong. You can sometimes buy archery items online for a bit cheaper, but it goes back to the old "give a man a fish" saying. They'll tell you everything you need to know about the product and make sure it's installed right. Great shop. read more

I didn't buy my bow here but the staff has always been extremely helpful and patient with my (sometimes dumb) questions. I know they changed management a year or two ago so some of these poor reviews might be related to that. They're also the only indoor range in town that I know of, at least that's centrally located. Unless you can go on off hours expect the range to be busy, especially leading up to hunting season. read more

Terrible owner. My wife bought me a gift card when I moved to Austin. I honestly have not had time to unpack my bow since moving. I went in to use this before moving overseas and I was quite shocked. Their selection of products is never at best. I honestly couldn't find something I wanted or could use for my bow. Product selection is terrible. So.... I picked out a few yeti products and went to cash out. They refused to honor the gift card, saying it was older than one year. I reminded him if needs to be clearly stated terms of expiration or fees for inactivity and they do not have anything on the certificate or in the store displayed. I told him it was illegal to do this and he needs to check the laws. He told me to come in the following week after he looked it up. I came in the next week to see a new sign for 1 year expiration on gift certificates, the owner was rude and said he would honor it but did not have too. He obviously was just being rude and trying to save face since it is a clear law for retailers.... Overall what a terrible way to run your business! My recommendation is to go elsewhere. No product selection and rude customer service are the only things here! read more

I have a vintage PSE F2 Maxis that I bought used on eBay. It was set at 70#'s and I needed the bow set down to 55-60 as I have not been shooting in a while. Not only did they take care of setting the draw weight for free they adjusted the knock/trigger loop where it needed to be. It must have moved in shipping. Now I was able to site in the sites in their indoor range right after they made my adjustments. The tech's at the counter were so very helpful and generous with their expertise I felt very welcome there. If this was an everything store I would not shop anywhere else!
