I kept lingering over to Archies food truck until he said, "Would you like to try anything"? I wasn't sure what I was in the mood to eat but I mentioned Brisket and that's all she wrote. Archie gave me a slice to try and the rest is history. I t's rare to find great brisket here as I lived in Texas and know what it is supposed to taste like. Well, Archies truck was appropriately named Archie Boy's Texas Barbeque. I was impressed. I had mine on the wrap to lessen the bread intake. It was really good. Archie gave great service and helped to narrow down my choice of cuisine. Check out this food truck if its in your neck of the woods, you cant go wrong.

Just to see if what we experienced was their norm or not. Fortunately, this was a good experience. Ordering took awhile, as we did not know their menu of options, but we got it done. Wife had a three sides plate ($8.49) and she liked it. And we ate in their outdoor patio, which was clean and tidy. I had a pastrami Sandwich City Meal which came with a side, but the kicker is that I had to pay for each side plus the meal. Sandwich ($10.99) I ordered "lean" as BBQ places usually leave the fat on your protein. The meat was pretty dry, but had a good taste. A side of creamy slaw was very good ($2) and I was able to eat some of wife's fried okra, which was also very good with ranch dressing. Beverages, like iced tea and Pepsi were $2.99 each. The tables inside were cleared with the exception of one large table that had their traditional display of uneaten food and debris. I only saw three employees: order taker, kitchen preparer and a woman who picked up the orders and brought them to you. Apparently City BBQ has yet to hire a bus person to clear and clean tables and to sweep the floor. Irony is that when we have been to events catered by City BBQ the food was excellent. We will not be in a rush to re-patronize this location.

I'm a Midwesterner and this vinegar que isn't up to par with with our sweet smokey taste buds. Not to mention we do brisket and not pulled pork. We'll I got a Brisket Sammich and Mac. The ladies suggested I try the Strawberry or Honey Peach sauce. The WHAT???? In all of my years i have never! I rolled my eyes and went to play on my phone. Then I was called. The Sammich was piled high with 4 slices of brisket. Not chopped, no picked apart, no skimpy but thick, hang over the edge moist, seasoned brisket. I took a nibble a said "ohhhh". I like it. That made me grab some sauce. I mean absolutely tiny bit on the side just to see. I tasted the Strawberry and was elated. Its freakn delicious. The strawberry plays so well with the heat and a hint of sweet. The peach was freakn fire. I had to come back and grab 2 Oz of each. I thought it couldn't get any better till I bit into the Mac. It was creamy, seasoned, and cheese; not over cooked either. Baby I knew I was driving to Fort Mill to get me a plate. I'll be down y'all

Everything seemed crazier than it needed to be, and none of the sauces really stood out. In fact, all of them were sweeter than I had expected. Oh yeah, when I ordered a Bud Light with a glass, the glass was dirty. So the food was definitely an under achieving moment. Next, the server was actually nice and the ambience was great. It's a smart looking establishment . But you don't go to a restaurant for the looks, you go for the food and in that regard, I was decidedly underwhelmed.

Welp, I held out for long enough and I'm finally fed up enough to give a review/warning…read more I love the place. The Burgers and fries are great. They have apple pies that taste like what McDonalds used to serve over 15 years ago before they got cheap with them. My problem with them is however they organize putting the order together into the bag. 95% of the time I go there, there's something wrong. Most of the time, it's that they don't give me my dipping sauce. For most places, I wouldn't care about the mistake and just eat my meal. However, unlike most other places, this franchise charges $0.50 for a dipping cup and you don't get a complimentary one. Other times, I'm missing my apple pie. Luckily, It takes me 2 seconds looking in the bag to notice because they have this annoying protocol of having drive through customers pull forward, away from the window to wait on your food (unlike other places, it's not because 1 item you ordered is being made and allowing other customers to get their food and go around you while you wait). It turns into me rushing to open the bag and find a problem before they disappear into the building. Now come to today. Same old, same old. They managed to remember my dipping cup but forgot my entire apple pie. Waved them down, got it and took off. Fast forward to getting home and I open my burger to find that my double is suddenly a single with jalapenos on it. I have never been to any food place that forgets and messes my order up more frequently than I have here. It's not a food problem, I love the food. It's a problem with the people working in it, which is more than likely because of whatever very specific way the franchise wants their workers to do things. If you go here, make sure you have everything you paid for. You will probably need to be vigilant here more so that any other place you've gone to combined.

Well....I am disappointed. The food is lackluster - no flavor in the chopped chicken or pulled pork, the hush puppies were overcooked, the banana pudding was not good, and the sauces in the bottles at the table added ZERO flavor to the meat. The barbecue beans were dry and flavorless, and the potato wedges were like warm. Everything was so deficient in flavor that I am concerned if anyone understands barbecue. My wife enjoyed the wings, and that is why this rating is 3 stars. I was so disappointed in my meal that I didn't try her wings. The interior was clean and orderly, and the workers were generally friendly. The food came up quickly, but everything was lukewarm. I am hopeful I caught the Rock Store on a bad day. I would imagine they basically crockpot the pork sandwich in water with zero seasoning. Messing up southern sweet tea in the south is a solid sin! Slaw lacks sauce and is dry. The banana pudding is gross.
