Very disappointing experience. We came to a BBQ and grill restaurant expecting fresh grilled food, but were told there wasn't any grilled food available--even though they didn't close for another two hours. The food we did get was awful. The chicken had a fishy taste, almost like cod. The pulled chicken was so hard and dried out that I could barely bite into it, while the bun was completely soggy. The mac and cheese was dry and tasted like it had been sitting out for a long time. The service wasn't any better. We were brought hushpuppies but weren't even given plates to eat them on, and we had to ask for basic things throughout the meal. Finally made it back as our grandson was here and he wanted to try southern BBQ. This location was golf cart convenient, so in we went for lunch. I think the food quality is coming back. The owners who bought this place from the original owner did not maintain the quality of food and service, so we, and many others, stopped patronizing this place. Our lunch went well. We had fried okra with ranch dressing for an appetizer and it was just fine. 13 year old actually tried this vegetable and said it was OK. A pulled pork sandwich and two beef brisket sandwiches were excellent. Our server, Darlene C. kept checking on us and gave us refill beverages to-go. Nice. I went here on Wednesday and made it in time for happy hour. Beers on top are cheap (I think $2-3 depending on what you pick). The hush puppies that they serve with honey butter are fantastic and included in your meal! I got the smoked hot chicken wings, which were half off. These are by far the best wings I have had in the area! The staff is friendly and ready to serve you. I am very impressed with the food and the experience. Went in today after a stressful morning at work and was greeted immediately when I walked through the door with all smiles. I wasnt familiar with the menu so the bartender helped me out with ease all the while helping other people and answering the phone. My food came out fast and it was cooked perfectly. This is the Indian location but it's listed as Fort Mill and I always thought ppl were crazy when they said one location taste better than the other but now I believe. This location is inconsistent at best. Sometimes the bbq is dry and when I ordered chili cheese fries this visit the chili or the cheese had a burnt/scorched taste to it and the fries were under done. The hush puppies are smaller and we're not consistently fried (some light and some dark) which tells me they were either a mix of fresh and leftover hush puppies or someone has no idea how to set timers on the fryer. We'll be giving this location a break and going to the Tega Cay location hoping for better results. read more

Good BBQ ribs, nice smoke but a little dry. The portion of the full-rack of ribs was as-expected, enough for 2-3 people in one sitting, but the size of the side items was too small... Fries dont cost much, so not sure why such a small serving on a high-price rib plate. My daughter ordered the BLT and added a beef-patty. Good flavor, no issues, fresh toppings and well prepared. Staff was cheery and helpful, but a little light for the number of tables, so we were a bit slow in getting response on re-fills and boxes and condiments... I think we waited about 45 minutes between ordering and getting the food, so either it is real fresh? Or there is some other issue going on in the back... I called and placed an order after a nail appointment I had a few doors down. I ordered six bbq smoked jumbo wings. The wings were not jumbo, but they were a good size. Sux wings cost $10. The wings were cooked well. The wings were flavorful. The order was ready within ten to fifteen minutes. I went there yesterday for lunch. It's a nice place and I like barbecue a lot. I remember when this place used to be across street and down a ways and it was really good. They have a nice bar area. However, I'm pretty sure that their baked beans are straight out of the can. No meat. I saw one piece of onion it taste exactly like store-bought off the shelf Baked beans to me. Also, the banana pudding I guarantee they're buying box banana pudding also from the store, making it out of vanilla wafers and then trying to sell it for 425 each. Worst BBQ I've had in a decade!!! We ordered Ribs that were raw in the center. literally raw! So they brought out some chopped pork which was beyond dry. The manager confessed that they had run out of ribs and were pulling them straight off of a pellet smoker and serving them. There was no smoke ring on the ribs or chopped pork!! No smoke ring! When we complained about the chopped pork being super dry we were told they don't give refunds even though the manger admitted that they had rushed the cooking process due to running out earlier in the day. I smoke alot of meat and I this was the worst BBQ I have had in ten years. Also I have not asked for a discount or sent back bbq in almost a decade. Also what the heck is a BBQ restaurant doing using a smoker to fast cook ribs like it's a grill. I would expect an offset smoker, this is a BBQ restaurant after all! Clearly the owners have a culture of prioritizing profit over quality smoked meets and good customer service. I can understand a mistake being made with the food but take responsibility and refund the customer. We didn't eat any of the ribs or pulled pork and told them we had no interest in eating them and they still refuse to refund our money. read more

The menu said it is marinated in a Cuban citrus sauce. There was zero flavor in these pieces of chicken. They were quite rubbery tasting and the lettuce was wilted and gross. Chicken Filet Sandwich- RAW in the center! Hamburger/Cheeseburger- ok, not bad and not great Fries were typical frozen fries. The "chili" was salty as all get out. Collards were very vinegary. On an aside, thought I heard one waiter tell a diner than the white sauce was something from Texas, but it's actually a northern Alabama creation, as I recall. Follow-up review: I was corrected in my last review wherein I stated that there was no "healthy option" ie dinner salad. I revisited the restaurant yesterday, and I stand corrected. There is a dinner salad to which a protein can be added. It was really delicious. I ordered pulled pork for my salad. I loved the way it was served with the protein in a separate bowl. The salad was fresh and crisp. The pulled pork was delicious. I also love that the BBQ sauces are at the table for experimentation. I will stop in again. I will add however that the salad+protein is $13.90. That is $2.50 more than my favorite dinner salad (with pulled pork) at the local competitor. read more
