Combo #2 - 4 ribs, quarter chicken, corn on the cob, and mac & cheese.

Hands down the best BBQ I've had in the Charlotte area so far. Love the smokey taste that all the meats have, the ribs fall off the bone, and you can mix and match BBQ sauces. The mac & cheese is delicious as well and can't have BBQ without corn on the cob. One combo platter had me and my fiance full. They are usually located on Brookshire outside the Mobil gas station in a small red truck. There is always a line so be patient and be prepared to wait. Availability on certain items vary so make sure to check their instagram for the exact menu, location, and time. There is a fee if you use card so bring cash. Cannot wait to go back again to try their turkey legs and jerk wings.

Today's review is from the food truck, Charlotte Ribman. Charlotte Ribman is located in the parking lot of a gas station on Brookshire Blvd. I ordered the combo number one, which came with three ribs, a piece of smoked chicken and corn on the cob as my side ($17). I also ordered the jerk wing portion ($3) (No, I didn't eat all this in one sitting) Combo 1 Ribs Yep, before you even ask, the ribs were falling off the bone. That's a good sign for ribs. The only thing about the ribs I would change is to have a more robust flavor. Yes, I could taste the smokiness of the ribs, but that's about it. Chicken In my opinion, the chicken was better than the ribs. With my order I received one smoked chicken drumstick. It was so tender and properly cooked. Very delicious. Corn on Cob Just imagine a piece of corn, laying on a piece of foil, butter poured on top of it, with a special seasoning sprinkled on top of the butter that's on top of the corn. Wrap that bad boy up and let the steam melt the butter into the kernels. In other words.... I want sum mo. Jerk wing portion Jerk wing From this order, the jerk wing was my favorite. So when they say jerk wing portion, they took a wing, cut in half and placed the drum and flat in the tray. The jerk season had a little kick to it, not too spicy and definitely not bland. I would definitely order jerk wings from them again. Rice and beans The rice and beans were mediocre to me. It's as if they cooked some rice in a pot, and then cook the beans in Another pot. Mixed them together and served it. I had some leftover jerk seasoning from the wings that wer sitting in the bottom of the tray. The seasoning mixed with the rice and beans was spoon licking good. It gave the rice and beans so much more flavor. If I was to return to this food truck and order rice and beans, I want them to drizzle the jerk seasoning over it. #blackowned #charlotteribman #smallbusiness #explorepage #supportblackbusiness #foodie #foodporn #neweats #instafood #foodstagram #foodblogger #foodlover #yummy #ribs #foodgasm #instagood #foodiesofinstagram #smokedout #foodpics #tasty #charlotte #charlottenc #clt #jerk #queencity #charlottefood

I just happen to be working in the area where Roaming Fork sets up on Thursdays out in Ballantyne and was able to grab some tasty lunch. The menu is varied and even has an Asian flare! I went with the recommendation of the cashier. I got the Porky Cheesy and the Truffle fries. The grill cheese had a good crunch and a good amount of filling. I love anytime you mix bbq pork and cheese and this didn't disappoint. The truffle fries get squirted with truffle oil after they come out the grease and have an amazing aroma. I liked the flavor but I love fries with a condiment so I felt like the fries could have used some ranch dipping sauce. The menu has a lot of items I would like to try. Hopefully I'm back in the area where they are located and can give them another try soon. Roaming Fork Thursday October 24, 2019 1pm

These folks may not give you forks, but they know what they're doing! Service has always been friendly and helpful, despite how busy the line can get. The cubanos are amazing - I've gotten the original and also the BBQuban. The OG is super solid, but OMG that BBQ one is just delectable and a great texture. Trust me. Try it. They also have the best yucca fries I've probably ever had. My issue with most yucca fries is that the texture tends to be pretty tough, but these are so soft inside - like they mashed the yucca first and then formed the fries. I don't know what magic they use, but they're incredible, and you must get some. We also got a churro filled with dulce de leche, and it came out nice and hot with lots of cinnamon sugar coating. I didn't love the dulce de leche filling for some reason - maybe I got spoiled by spending time in Argentina - so next time I'll likely go for the regular churro.

I follow these guys on Twitter and was always hoping they'd camp out in the Southpark area one day to draw a lunch crowd. To no avail, I was forced to wait until this weekend! Happy to find these guys at Small Bar in the NC Music Factory for PBR Fest. Churning out pizza and wings for the beer crowd. I had heard multiple cheers of praise and glory about this truck's pizza and wings. I was even a little intimidated approaching the order window. The staff were all very friendly and helpful with describing all of the menu items. We ended up getting two slices of cheese, a slice of the buffalo chicken and 5 Carolina Buffalo wings. We sat down with 24oz tallboys in hand and went to town. I was happy to say that the wings are AWESOME. Perfectly cooked, a little crispy on the outside, not dry, tender, slathered generously with amazing sauce. The Carolina Buffalo is a winner. Mustard-based bbq with a plethora of buffalo sauce thrown in. My taste buds were happy. Uhh...they need to make a Carolina Buffalo pizza. (No brainer, yeah?) The only thing that sank my happy sailing dinner experience was the pizza. A little lackluster and the sauce was a bit reminiscent of box pizza from the frozen section in the grocery store. Maybe our slices had been sitting out for a bit, but didn't have the freshest of textures. I did appreciate the crust and enjoyed sopping up the remainder of the wing sauce with them. I can't say that the pizza was banging on all cylinders or a culinary breakthrough, but is definitely reliable. The combo of wings and pizza in one meal from the street, though? Baller status. Grab a tallboy and it's all over. Foodtruck heaven. So happy to have finally tried these guys out and can't wait to see them at Chowdown Uptown in the near future! Carolina Buffalo Pizza, guys! Let's see it happen! Cheers.
