WOW! First time at the new location. Love it! The Horseradish Burger absolutely eclipsed all my expectations. My friend visiting from out of town went bonkers over her Archie's in-house made Veggie Burger. She offered me a bite because sitting across from me her meal looked so good! The fact she was making constant yummy noises while chewing made me curious too. Well, It was very tasty indeed along with the homemade chips. Archie's is now one of my favs. Luckily I live just down the street. May have to modify my eating out budget to fit a monthly visit. read more

I was probably the only person in Shelburne VT who never had made it to Archies at it's old location but I easily average once a week since it opened across the road at it's new spot. I am addicted, yes addicted, to the turkey burger and French fries. Always filling, always done right. I am most happy when I get the friendly service of the local HS kids that Archie's employs. Always great to see Hank taking orders. I recommend Archies to anyone who thinks it is just an average burger joint and keeps driving by everyday. You will be pleasantly surprised! Horrible experience. They lost our order and the people next to us got parts of their meal and waited 20 minutes for the rest. When we approached about our missing order that we'd waited over a half hour for the kitchen seemed so confused and the manager seemed upset with us instead of his own staff. Meanwhile our order was just a kids chicken finger and fries for our 1 year old. We were refunded for the food but not the tax. What a waste of time and money. read more

Just returned from opening night at Archie's. Best burger ever!! Archie's is back! Hard to believe but they have improved and expanded the menu. And for opening night I thought the wait to fill the order would be longer but not at all. Chris and the team are back! Just what Shelburne needs. read more

Love Archie's. Best burgers in the area. Fries are incredible both regular and sweet potato. Try a salad with chicken, simple but delicious. Favorite burger is the horseradish mushroom with Vermont cheddar. Oh and of course you must stop by Scoop to top of a perfect meal out. read more

Great little spot - a little far from Burlington but close enough I usually cycle from work. The VT bacon cheese burger is pretty damn good. The house made chips with Parmesan are also pretty legit as well. I frequented the old location and was impressed the new location is still spot on. My wife and I just got home from Archie's tonight. We took two of our sons. And while I love the story behind Archie's, sadly, as I type this my stomach is somewhat unsettled from the "Archie's Favorite" sandwich, pretty flavorless. Everybody else had burgers and we all agreed, it was not awful, it was not great, pretty forgettable really, which saddens me. We went to the original location a couple of years ago and it seemed much more upbeat. I agree with the previous comments, nobody smiling and service was just ok. Overall disappointed. We will give it one more try, but honestly there are many better choices coming just up the road from Burlington. read more

We have been customers for yrs....but, since they reopened under new management their service and food portions have SUCKED! I would have stopped going back but my son loves burgers so I keep giving them another try. We always get take out, so are unpleasantly surprised when we get home. Examples of their poor service include giving us the wrong burgers, giving us the wrong fries, missing items from our order. And once , I called in the order only to get there and find that the person who took the order finished his shift and forgot to put the order in. SURPRISE! No food. The extent of their incompentence is astonishing. I actually called the new owner after the 3rd offence. He apologized and asked how they could redeem themselves. I told him I was just bringing this to his attention and that the staff need to be more diligent and customer oriented. Sooooo.... We gave them another try and By Gosh if they didn't live DOWN to our expectations. Another incorrect item in our order. The burgers are smaller then before, the take out containers are half sized now along with the fries portions. Just completely disgusted! read more

Ok Ok I know this is a Shelburne landmark and so many folks out there like this place and so this is just my experience and my review and my taste. I really am not out to offend anyone. We went on Saturday and were there when it opened. As we waited for the light to change this car turned into the driveway driving way to fast and I turned to my wife and said I'll bet he works at Archies and is late for his shift and well there he was outside the back door smoking a cigarette before his shift started when we parked. Yuck. I know many in the restaurant business smoke but I do hope he washed his hands before he started to cook. We went in and the guy at the counter was nice enough but I noticed that no one was smiling. No one was smiling. Hmmm. We placed our order and found a seat. The inside of the newly renovated place is great. Nice tables. Nice decor. Open kitchen. We sat down and I asked my wife if she noticed that NO ONE was smiling behind the counter and she said she had noticed that as well. It was busy and we picked up our order when our name was called. We each had a cheese burger. My wife had the sweet potato fries and I had the famous Archie homemade Chips. The burger was cooked to our order although generally they are cooked medium rare unless you ask for them to be cooked longer. They are fine quality LaPlatte meat. I think the famous hand made chips are way way over cooked. For my taste. Also what is up with putting butter or oil on buns. Yuck. So greasy. I should have asked but forgot. My bad. The sweet potato fries were overcooked for me but my wife liked hers. So OK we didn't try much on the menu and the place seemed packed for a lunch on a Saturday. But still no one was smiling. That to me is an indicator of something wrong in the kitchen. So would I come again? Probably but also more than likely not. I really wanted to like the new Archies. read more

One of my favorite burger places. They use locally pastured beef. Nice variations on the traditional burger. Lots of variety for non-burger eaters. I like my meat to be bun sized and sometimes the paddy comes thick and smaller in diameter - I'd like more consistency here. When the family says "Let's go grab a bite", I always respond, "How about Archie's"! read more
