He took pictures and made notes as he walked through my place. He gave me a complete, detailed estimate in less than 2 days. I needed to have my 2400 sq.ft. townhouse painted and on the market in 9 days and I asked Alvaro to complete the job in 6 days so I could do the final preparations (staging several rooms; removing furniture and drapes, etc). He said he would do the job and 6 days...AND HE DID. Some days there were at least 5 men working throughout the day. The job was done on time and was excellent. The appointment was for Friday at 9:00 am, two men arrived 4:15 pm saying had to finish another job first. They quickly put up plastic sheeting, blocking my view to see what they were doing from inside house. Didn't think to check camera then. A half hour later checked camera and noticed they took a 30 minute lunch break, wind picking up and sheeting flapping. Then no proper prep, scraping / sanding surface just a immediate painting. About an hour later, lead guy asked me for half of remaining balance and I refused. I then asked, if they painted top of patio and his reaction was with annoyance saying people don't ask for that. Really? I'm a one story, can't see the top. I insisted. Thinking strange to refuse my request. Half hour later, he again asked for payment. I then asked for a picture of the top area again and he stalled persistency about money. It's now getting dark and still no picture, asking me to still pay. Worried, decided to call police for advice, I'm a senior and daughter disabled. Once lead guy saw us on the phone now 7:25 pm, they gathered all items and on leaving took my paint to complete work. Part of the paid deposit. They left my gate wide open, knowing were have a dog, it was barking during disagreement. Time left . . . 7: 49 PM, Completely dark. Next morning now able to see work, paint dripped all over patio cement, on windows, BBQ cover and screen door. Need to replace both. Not professional and don't feel this behavior would have been done to a male customer, nor young customer. I have cameras all around hours, it's all on camera! This may not be part of issue but strange . . . next day a man driving pickup truck came to my door (on camera) asking ,if I wanted to sell my car parked in driveway no "For Sale" sign. I asked for his name and number wanting to think about it . . . he refused! Looked annoyed! Odd! Again, may not be connected, but feel possible the owner coming to see who we are? All based on timing. Police aware. How did I find them, ANGI. They have not been helpful. I even sent videos and proof of police call. Sad times, be careful!

There was a lot of work because the house had Ivy wisteria growing everywhere and there was a lot of damage on the walls after the plants were removed. Jose is the foreman and he is a perfectionist, very patient and consistent with his work. His crew was there every single day even one Sunday so the house was done right before Christmas and is beautiful. I was hesitant when choosing colors and Jose encouraged me to take the time and also sampled the different colors so I can actually see it and make a choice. Again very professional and experienced, well priced as well! Highly recommend!

Hired Jose's Painting to remove a kitchen plaster ceiling and replace with dry wall, painting…read more(kitchen cabinets, a porch, bathroom), installation of kitchen lights and an oven vent hood, painting of several external walls and metal awnings, etc. Generally work quality was good and the workers were polite. Nearly all of them spoke English + / - making communication easy. Although they were good at the gross work, they lacked the detail and cleanliness that we wanted. I spent many hours scraping up all of the paint spots left behind on floors, light switches, inside cabinetry, sinks, faucets, door hinges, inside HVAC grills, cabinet tops. An HVAC floor vent was not covered when they removed a plaster ceiling with debris falling inside which I had to remove. Screws, painter's tape and paint spots were on top of kitchen cabinets which I had to clean. One screw ended upon the sink garbage disposal causing it to stop working; they had to call a plumber to remove the disposal to get at the screw. They regularly used my trashcans and frequently threw things in the wrong bins. We called them back for one full day to handle touch-ups and oversprays. Many moved cabinets and hinges were missing screws. Some door hinges were also painted and had to be cleaned. Some trim was painted without proper sanding / scraping, and filling / smoothing holes; they simply painted over existing paint.
