Initially the house looked pretty good and Arevalo was quick to fix any mistakes they made. After a year it is clear that Arevalo did not do any preparation work on our house before they began using paint sprayers. I requested that they come back and fix these spots and Arevalo's response was that they were busy and would add me to their schedule, that was two weeks ago. I asked about what preparation was done including if a primer was used or if they just spot primed and no answer was given, that was two weeks ago. The owner Samuel is very nice, but I am not sure he knows what he is doing and now it looks like we need to hire a new painter. read more

I hired Samuel and his crew to paint my house July of last year 2023. Fortunately I was off work at the time and was able to be home to supervise his guys because they needed it. On the second day of the job I found his guys sitting on the side of my house drinking a 24 pack of beer that was 2/3 of the Way gone. One of them admitted to being the one who brung the beer stating it was his birthday as though that makes drinking on the job any less offensive. I immediately called Samuel and sent his crew home as I didn't know whether any of them were now intoxicated and I didn't need them climbing ladders or working on my property. Samuel apologized and told me he had terminated the guy who brought the beer but the rest of the crew which was now one man short stayed on the job. I had to constantly point out issues that they were overlooking or corners they were trying to cut. The job ended up taking almost a month to complete. One area the existing paint was bubbling and I had pointed this out to Samuel when he came to look at the house and give me an estimate. Once they got started on the job his guys were ready to start priming having supposedly finished all the prep work when I noticed that area still had the bubbles. I had to call Samuel to have his guys take care of the bubbles which they sanded the bubbled spots and then patched them and primed the house. The next day that area of wall was starting to bubble again. After Samuel's guys made three attempts and it was still bubbling Samuel finally relented to my insistence that his guys needed to sand that area all the way down to bare wood, and then prep and prime the wood. Samuel had to send another fellow out to completely sand it down, again, at my insistence, to the bare wood as it was obviously some issue with what had been put on the wall prior that was causing the bubbling. Once this was done the bubbling issue stopped. I was given a one-year warranty on the work and now almost a year later I'm having issues with paint cracking and peeling and Samuel is refusing to answer my calls. I have left multiple messages and have yet to hear from him. Samuel is a very nice and pleasant person to deal with but as far as a business I cannot recommend Arevalo painting. Samuel if you read this review I am still waiting to hear from you to fix the issues around my house under the warranty you gave me when you painted it. read more

It was actually a pleasure working with Arevalo Painting. Not something you can typically say about working with contractors. They did some minor stucco work, exterior painting and hung some shutters for us. Fair pricing. Samuel is doing a great job running his business. His admin, Maridel, was very responsive and really good about keeping us up to date with expectations. The crews were very nice and professional. Samuel is genuinely pleasant. Sam always shows up in a suit or professional attire and clearly articulates the job and any advice he has regarding colors, sheen, and trim. He is very polite and professional in his demeanor. The job was done quickly. All items were cleaned up. It was nice not to have to clean up after the job was done. So many contractors have subs that leave huge messes. I hate that, so i was very happy at how clean everything was left. They painted walls and doors at my main home and windows and trim at my rental. All of the work looks the same as it did when it was freshly painted. No bubbles or peeling paint! This was a high-quality job that will last. Had one provider roll up in sweatpants and a Frappuccino. Ugh! Not professional. What made me go with Arevalo was ....Samuel! His energy, professionalism, and attention to detail. He is easy to work with and flexible. Other things that were great were 1) His team. They were true to their word on timelines. The work was good quality and attention to detail was paid. One of the covers for my outlet broke when removing. They said they would get me a replacement and they did! 2) Samuel paid me a visit after the project was completed to ensure I was 100% satisfied. I saw the very bottom of the door was missed so he painted it himself. 3) They didn't quite match the color I wanted for the doors. After it was done.... I didn't like it. I got three initial quotes which were around the same. I chose Arevalo because I communicated directly with the owner who was very nice and positive from day 1. He was so nice and easy going and fun to work with that I felt like we were friends by the end of the job. He thoroughly explained what they would do from the beginning in detail. THey painted the entire interior of my home and kitchen cabinets. While the job was in progress, I needed added things like plaster repair, door leveling and they were able to do as well. They were even able to hire an electrician to fix some breakers that went out. All of the workers were very pleasant and they cleaned up all their debris at the end. One of the best painting company I've ever used. They are responsive from the gekko getting an estimate and throughout the time they work on the job. Maridel and Samuel team up and provide progress on the job until it's done. I mean even after it's done if you find anything you are unhappy with. Very well organized and quality of work. They did an excellent job overall, but even when I found some small things that were left out which didn't make it on the contract, Samuel still came back at night time to cover what I requested. He actually came back twice to take care of issues I found but weren't really their fault. Samuel is a super pleasant guy to work with. By the way, job they did was pretty much the entire interior painting of a 3bd townhome that came out beautiful. I also really liked the paint they recommended for the wood trims and doors whose texture came out even better than the original paint when it was built. They finished the job on time as they estimated and all 3 crews on site were very hard working. Pricing was very competitive as well among the 4 estimates I received. Arevalo Painting helped my Grandfather and I with updating and changing the exterior color of our house. We are very happy with the results. The process started with choosing a our 3 colors for the trim, siding and stucco during a color consultation appointment with Samuel. Maridel was very helpful with answering questions and scheduling via text and voicemail. Next Valdimar began the house preparation process with pressure washing, caulking and stucco repair and then primer. He was very receptive to our feedback and was very skilled in painting with a sprayer/air brush. He did a great job keeping our new roof protected and the new wood thoroughly primered and covered. The crew worked with us on 2 holidays and weekends to make sure the job got done. Samuel returned to the house when the final painting was completed and still refined some paint areas what he thought would make the house look perfect. We were very fortunate to find a great team to help us with our exterior house painting. I felt we had good communication and we were on the same page as far as vision for this color change.
