Although not in their store inventory, I tried on a dress at another boutique that I did not have a good experience at. I came to Archive and they ordered the same exact dress for me. I was not quite ready to commit but after a few other shops and dresses we wound up back at Archive a few weeks later and said YES to the second dress I had tried on, and I am SO glad we did! I wish I could say I enjoyed by experience with Archive Bridal, but I didn't. The first part was fine, but I left my final dress fitting nearly in tears. During my first visit the woman who helped me was so nice and helped me find the a beautiful dress. I also went to Grace Loves Lace and found fantastic options as well. However, Archive Bridal promised that their seamstress is the "absolute best and will do anything to make sure your dress fits you perfect before your wedding day". So with that comment I ended up buying my dress from Archive. I only had one fitting and the only thing they had to do with shorten the straps a bit and add a bustle. I paid $400 for this which was way more than expected, but fine. When I went back for my final fitting my dress kept bunching up below my breasts which looked ridiculous. The consultant went and got the seamstress and she continued to say there was nothing she could do and I just need to make sure I stand straight as much as possible. She then told me she had a dentist appt. and had to leave. I was so caught off guard with her lack of care and total disregard after spending nearly $5,000 on a dress. Also during my dress fitting the consultant showed me how to use breast tape and told me she would give me some when I pick up my dress. However, as we were walking out with my dress she stopped me to make sure I paid the $25 for the tape. $25 is not a big deal, but it just didn't sit right that she would ask me to pay after she just told me she would give me the tape. I left there feeling so unhappy and would not be willing to recommend this location. Wedding dress shopping should be such a fun and exciting experience and mine was quite the opposite. UPDATE - Paulette called me upon reading my review and was very open to discussing my concerns and taking the feedback as constructive criticism. I appreciate that she reached out and believe most of the concerns were due to a lack of communication between her team members and not intentional at all. I trust they are doing everything they can to avoid these same mistakes. read more

I don't know how I haven't written a review for archive yet!?! They are miracle workers. I bought my dress several sizes too big (like 4 sizes!!!) that's what happens when the dress of your dreams is a 2011 version and it's 2014! Anyway archive not only resized it, but opened the back, changed the Neckline, and hand made my veil and helped me with accessories. It was basically a custom down (which I later found out they do those too!!) Paulette and Maria are angels! My wedding day was beautiful, and they were beyond helpful in making it that way! They were very patient with me, considering I needed so many more fittings, and they cut my dress in half! From a size 14 to a size 8! They have the most beautiful accessories too!! Crystal was wonderful and really knew her stuff - a couple other shops I went to just waited for me to pick out dresses to try on, but I had no idea where to start. She helped me get started and narrow down dresses by which styles worked best on me, my budget and my timeline. Tracy is truly the bridal dress whisperer! She asked questions about my wedding vision and my fiancé. She had a great energy about her and she was just as excited as I was. We pulled about 6 dresses together, one of which was her pick bases off the questions she asked me during the beginning of the appointment. She nailed it! I was in this shop yesterday (2/7) looking for a wedding gown. This was my first experience shopping for dresses so I had no idea what I wanted or what to expect. I haven't​ ever even been with friends to find their dresses. My actual first time in a wedding dress shop. I was assigned Tracy and I cannot say enough. For starters, after I left the shop I was on cloud nine despite not truly finding THE dress. I went to two shops after (Posh Brides, and BHLDN at Anthropologie). Here's my full review of Archive: 1. the shop was freaking immaculate. It is evident this shop gets cleaned thoroughly​ and often. It might sound obvious that a wedding dress shop should be clean but head on over and read my review of posh brides and you will know why this stood out in my mind after. 2. Tracy knows her s**t! she found the perfect silhouette​ for me by the first dress. She let me try on others I was interested in but also knew how to keep me focused. She was honest when things weren't flattering and patient. At no point during this appointment did I​ feel rushed. She also didn't overwhelm me with dresses. She picked dresses thoughtfully and methodically. When she brought in a new one that was similar to something I​ had tried on she took the time to explain the difference between them so that when it was on me I knew what I​ should be looking at in terms of difference. Again, see review at Posh brides to know why this is important (spoiler, they were more like throwing spaghetti at a wall and I​ left my appointment early because it was overwhelming and all the dresses looked the same). Reason 3 why I think Archive is the best: The samples. The samples I tried on at both shops I went to after were WORN OUT. Make-up stains and straps were on their last limb. The other shops didn't​ even take the time to pin dresses correctly but Tracy went above and beyond to be sure I was able to see what it would look like fitted to me. others I​ had to use my imagination. And the Samples at Archive are super well cared for. This is probably because they have all the work done there in the shop so they can care for samples much easier but it makes a huge difference. Trying on a wedding dress that's wearing more makeup then you doesn't exactly allow me to envision myself walking down the aisle. As​ I said, I didn't find my dress yesterday but I will be returning to Archive in a month to continue my search despite already being there because of how great my experience was. read more

I wish I was going to need another wedding dress, because I loved going to Archive Bridal! My wedding planner suggested I give them a try, and I didn't need to go anywhere else. I found the perfect dress for me, almost immediately. They helped me try lots of options- even a couple out of my comfort zone (which were pleasantly surprising). Their selection is superb. Honestly this is a must visit when you're trying to find your "yes to the dress" moment! I was eyeing a gown online and found they carried the brand as well as another boutique in SD. I had called the other boutique first and they said we don't have it yet but check in later (which is a completely fine response). I called archive bridal and spoke with Rana who immediately was so friendly and helpful. She said she was going to try to track the arrival of the gown and because of my short window to get a dress she said she would ask for a loaner from the designer if it wasn't coming in on time. I honestly just called to see if they had it already, but they went above and beyond to ensure I would find my dream dress. At that moment I knew I would be buying my dress from them! I came in with my 2 sisters and mom for my first time trying on dresses. The boutique is small with 2 platforms and an open area in the front for a total of 3 parties to try on dresses at the same time. I met Crystal who would be assisting me for the day. She was amazing - so helpful, friendly, honest, and patient. We were back and forth between 2 dresses and she switched me between the two dresses about 6 times (trying on different veils, my sisters trying on their beautiful jewelry) without a single complaint. She asked the right questions to help you eliminate dresses and rank the ones you loved! We also met the owner who when we were between 2 dresses suggested my sister try on the other for a little perspective. Everyone was so amazing!
