I had the BEST experience at Not Just Coffee. The staff was so friendly and I ordered an iced cortado and a biscuit with egg & bacon & cheese. First, the woman taking my order was so friendly and patient as it was my first time. Coworkers welcomed me too and I just felt like the were all enjoying their day/job. Second, BEST Cortado and espresso in general. My first sip I'm pretty sure I left this earth for a moment. I ended up buying the beans because they roast them themselves. I came by to try the avocado toast and it was okay. I think the avocadoes weren't quite ripe so it threw the taste off a little bit. I still enjoyed it though. I LOVE the flavor at every NJC location! The drinks aren't too sweet and the espresso always tastes fresh. My only complaint... the service is always extremely lackluster. Every time I visit, the person taking my order and/or making my drink seems to have a major attitude. It very much fits the "coffee snob" stereotype that you see online about the workers at local coffee shops. However... I continue to go and get awkwardly served by these people because I enjoy the drinks so much. read more

It was a really nice coffee shop with the right amount of people so not too busy but active. They opened the side door for a bit. I sat outside which was nice and clean and then moved inside I had the avocado toast with the pine nut sauce. It was good but if it had some balsamic glaze I think it would be amazing! Otherwise the drinks were flavorful and coffee was good. I had an iced latte first and then the mango matcha. It was just a little more spritzy than I expected like champagne lol I'm glad I tried something new and really enjoyed by day there Also it's street parking only. What a super cute industrial bohemian vintage looking coffee shop. I needed to waste time while waiting a family flight to arrive and stumbled on this place. I love a good coffee shop! The offer coffee of course and wine and teas as well plus an assortment of pastries and Sammie's! It's in a building with other small businesses and the Hygge co-work space! There's a nice young lady with an onsite fresh flower arrangement booth as well! The the most spacious and comfy NJC location. Coffee is wonderful and seasonal drinks are always there to impress with perfectly crafted house-made syrups. They have a few simple breakfast/lunch options like avocado or salmon toast or breakfast sandwich which with a few modifications can become super tasty. So what I would suggest is to change toast bread for a bagel - they are super fresh, deliciously chewy and massive. For a salmon toast I'd recommend to double the salmon for just +$2 and definitely add a couple of eggs to your avocado toast. read more

I really wanted to like this place. The atmosphere is really hip and they have outdoor seating. The atmosphere and environment are 100. The coffee and food are decent. The employees couldn't care less about anything. I have been twice just to be sure it wasn't a one off situation but both times the employees are lack luster and were more concerned about their conversations than the customers. The place is all posers and vibe hipsters. If that your thing you will fit in. I personally prefer to spend my place at a money where the employees somewhat make you feel good about spending your money and being there. I definitely will not go back. I would walk another 1/2 mile to Enderly Coffee. A much better experience. read more

I love coming here for my WFH days . I bring my puppy and she enjoys people watch and sunbathing lol . The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I had the avocado BLT and man was it delicious. I've been here a decent amount for coffee with friends and try to do work on my laptop. The atmosphere is relaxed and everyone there is nice. Parking is typically easy to find on the street or in the small lot behind the building. There are unisex bathrooms and plenty of tables and chairs to find a space to sit. I would rate them higher, but the few times I have come in to do work on my laptop I never seem to be able to get connected to the wifi-even on my phone. When I was there this morning, a worker told me a lot of people have issues with it and to try the workspace wifi, use a different email when logging in, clearing my browsing history, and restarting my laptop. None of these suggestions worked and I was left there drink my $8 drink while trying to type up notes on a word document-because I was already there and didn't have the heart to go home or go somewhere else to spend another $8 on coffee to do work. I have had way too many coffees in the west coast so I was slightly disappointed but it's a great place to pit stop if you are passing through Charlotte suburbs. Not Just Coffee is always a great place to go get some work done or catch up with friends. It isn't too loud and provides a great atmosphere. I usually get a latte here and always enjoy them but this time I tried their matcha. I would definitely suggest their lattes but I'm hesitant to get their matcha again in the future. The taste was good but it wasn't fully blended and so there were clumps throughout the drink that weren't too enjoyable. Another thing to note is that their hours on Yelp say they are open until 6 but they closed at 5 when I was there this Tuesday. Visited this location before picking up my order at The City Kitch just around the corner. It was early on a Saturday morning and there weren't many people in yet. The employees were so friendly and kind. I got a caramel oat milk iced latte and their last piece of vegan banana bread (which was soooo yummy)! The cashier even made sure I was okay with the piece from the case since it had been touching other non-vegan treats. I'm not vegan so I didn't mind at all. Aside from their friendly service I also loved the space, it's pretty large and open inside. Would be a great place to catch up with a friend or do some work. Great coffee, great space. I stopped in to NJC with my laptop and a thirst. It's a big open space with high tops, low tops, a sofa, a community table, and plenty of exposed power outlets.
