My experience with this body shop was very disappointing. After my accident, the repairs took a long time. When I got my car back, I found several problems, including peeling paint, loose windows, and poorly installed doors that made rattling noises. I had to return my car multiple times because every time I picked it up, I found new issues. When I complained about the peeling paint, they gave me a small bottle of touch-up paint and told me to repaint it myself if it peeled again. I also discovered that my insurance company had paid to replace parts such as the front bumper and the door handle, but they were never replaced. The side mirror was simply glued back on. After I confronted them, they admitted the mistake, ordered the parts, and finally installed them, causing even more delays. This review is based on my personal experience. I cannot recommend this shop to anyone who expects quality repairs, professionalism, and attention to detail. read more

I requested a quote from another body shop and Yelp recommended that I also request a quote from Archstone. Here was what I said: "Need front bumper, underway, fender liners and one side skirt replaced. I have all the panels." And this was the response from "Herman S.": "Hi ; You have to come by an we can take look and give you an estimate. We are open tomorrow 10am to noon." So I hopped in the car and drove 30 minutes for the quote. A couple of guys came out, looked at the car, took the VIN, all my personally identifiable information and gave it to their boss... who promptly told me he won't do it because he doesn't use customer provided front bumpers. Apparently customer provided OEM bumpers don't work just the bumpers he orders. It's his shop and that's fine. What's not fine was that he wasted an hour of my time for something he literally could have said in a Yelp message. And now I'm left wondering what they plan on doing with my VIN, home address, phone number, and e-mail. I just read his response. Hit from rear bumper in a parking lot -paid out of pocket. Archstone was the lowest of 3 estimates I got. As a courtesy, Herman matched a two way Uber ride cost to rent his rental car for 2 days. Parts ordered ahead of time with a credit card deposit over the phone. I dropped off the vehicle on Wednesday and picked it up on Friday- very smooth, and satisfied by the quality of work. The first auto body shop I went to quoted me for about $1000 more than what Archstone charged me and they weren't sure if my car was going to be ready in two weeks and so I went to Archstone and not only it was $1000 less but my car was ready within a week. I dropped it off Nov. 17 and it was ready to be picked up yesterday 11/23 that's including Thanksgiving. My car looks brand new and Herman the owner was genuine, sincere and honest. Herman is the man! I am returning a Hyundai Elantra that I had leased for 3 years and it had several scrapes and dents on it (the price to pay for driving/parking in the city). I first took it to a very highly rated body shop in Somerville where the guy who did the estimate stopped and turned to me a one point and said, "You know, this is going to get VERY expensive". That was a kick in the gut. Luckily, someone I worked with referred me to Herman at Archstone Auto Body Inc. He looked it over and quoted me a great price. I felt instantly relieved. I have to say these guys did a wonderful job on my car. As a little background. I had a collision on the rear passenger door and it would required a complete replacement of the door panel and new paint job. At first I was debating if I should bring it to a franchaise company like "CarStar", but after reading the 17 good reviews in Yelp I decided to give Archstone a try. Upon the first visit I took the car in and Herman was very helpful, he suggested ways he would fix the door and give an estimate on total time for the job. The next morning I dropped it off and they immediately started working on the car. From the insurance side, they did most of the talking with my insurance. Overall the whole process was smooth and did not need any work from my side. Finally, my car was completed on time. When I was there to pick up the car they had my car inside the garage on a cold day for inspection. I couldn't believe that they were able to restore all panel back to original factory setting. I am very picky about details on my car, yet Archstone managed to meet that expectation. The overall friendly business transaction and high quality work was amazing. I would definately use them again (hope I dont need to), but if any of my friends needs a fix, this is the place to go if you dont want to get rip off else where. I had previous experience with CarStar, was not happy at all in the way they handle the phone calls and especially the finished job (poor paint job, lost some of the screw caps for the car) If you haven't decided where to go yet, I tell you, this is the place. dont judge the shop by its look outside. read more

Archstone Auto Body did an excellent job on my truck. I had a town plow hit and ruin the front end of my F-150 last winter. I have custom cut bumpers to fit my tires, a custom hood, and a custom grille so I was a little worried that they might have trouble getting it back to the way it looked before the accident. They ended up doing an excellent job, my truck looks good as new. Not to mention, Herman (I think he's the owner) was very friendly and helpful with ordering all the custom parts off the internet. I had my 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT towed here after a pretty bad front-end collision. Being new to the area, I immediately felt comfortable bringing my car to Archstone after a brief phone conversation with Danny. He mentioned that the owner, Herman was out for the weekend but would be back on Monday. Herman contacted me on Monday after my car was towed to their shop to discuss the timeframe and details of the job. I was quite concerned and wanted to make certain the job was done right! Herman worked with my insurance company to make sure I received OEM parts for my car as he explained that the insurance company had only provided an estimate for aftermarket parts. Herman kept in close touch throughout the 3 week process of having my car repaired. I was also very concerned about the vinyl hood covering and he made sure he took it to a shop that did the job correctly instead of trying to "fudge it" himself. My car was ready the week he promised however there was one small detail that Herman took care of immediately after I brought the car back for him to correct the issue. While I was there he custom painted some trim for me and applied it to my car. My experience with Herman and Archstone Auto Body Inc was outstanding and I feel all of the "details" were take care of. I've been there three time. First to fix a rust spot on the right rear wheel well (go ahead, say it three times fast). Great matched the paint perfectly. But, we live in New England, and it recurred. After a stupid mistake I was looking bring my car, a 2001 Toyota Camry, into a body shop for some minor bodywork. I live in Tewksbury and drove to multiple body shops from North Andover to Woburn. I received quotes from each shop and in the end I chose Archstone because they were by far the most reasonable cost wise: (~$600 cheaper than their competitors). They are a new shop to the area, but I decided for that differential in cost it was worth giving them a shot. And I am SO glad I did! Herman, the owner and operator of Archstone not only did an amazing job (you wouldn't know there was damage) but also cleaned the car inside and out and took care of some rust on one of body panels. He also kept me well informed of the status, finished early, and had no surprise calls to tell me that the cost was going to be increased. I was so impressed with their work that I will definitely go back to Archstone if I have any issues in the future. Bottom line is this: Archstone was the most reasonable price, did great work, went above and beyond the call of duty, all the while being courteous and professional. My car had a friendly (not so friendly) meeting with a telephone pole earlier last month and I managed to put a giant dent in the passenger side door. This is the first time I have had to bring a car to an auto body shop, so naturally I did a bunch of research on the subject. Anyone searching for an auto body shop knows that it has to be one of the more stressful situations in life. Archstone made this situation much less stressful than it could have been. Hermon was GREAT. He made me feel comfortable with the repair and even drove me to the Enterprise down the street to get a rental car. The repair was done in 4 days (which I was VERY happy with). My car looked as good as new when they were done. Not to mention the price that I was quoted at was $500 less than other places I researched. You can't beat this place. Had a few estimates to repair some scratches on the hood of my 2014 Maxima, one estimate was 1,900 dollars. went to see Herman at Archstone because of great reviews here, Herman said he could paint the hood and make the car look like new for $400.00. This is a GREAT auto body shop. After being disappointed by a local business that has won "Best of NH" more than once, I decided to give Archstone a try based only on Yelp reviews. All of the good things written before me are absolutely true, honest, great repair work, affordable prices, speedy service. I would like to add that in my case, they also went above and beyond, leaving the base and paint color samples behind for fixing any new scratches. My car was clean and returned to me in like new condition. My estimate from the NH business was $4500 but Herman fixed my car for $1700. This and the quality and speed of service (the NH business had a 2 week wait just to be seen and Herman took my car immediately worked through the night and had it done in a couple of days--saving me the expense of a rental car).
