I appreciated that my hands were full and he offered to help carry my load upstairs. My door handle was lose and he took it upon himself to look in his toolbox for a screw and fixed it. After moving into a new house we requested a rekey through our home warranty company (One Guard) and they sent out Arco. They were absolutely fantastic. The tech was super nice and you could tell he knew his stuff! (I think his name was Jordan?) He came in a unmarked personal car but dressed very professionally. The reason I am knocking them down a start is due to their availability. I had to wait about a week after scheduling to get the job done. On a side note, here is something I thought they could have done strictly for customer service reasons. With my rekey service through my home warranty I get 6 keyholes rekeyed and 2 garage door openers. I don't have a garage but I have 7 keyholes. When the tech came I was kind of expecting them to do the additional key hole at no charge due to the fact I didn't have any garage door openers needed and it literally took an additional 30 seconds. They charged me $12 for one additional keyhole. The whole entire job took less then 10 minutes and it cost me $69 for the home warranty service fee, plus $12 for the additional keyhole. I'm not complaining, but seeing how easy and simple it was I'm shocked he charged me as that would have been one easy way to make me a huge promoter of the company! read more

Called these guys to re-key the business doors. 1st guy comes out and said he's not familiar with these locks. Fine, I'll wait for the next guy. 2 guys come out the 2nd time re-keys everything is fine right? WRONG! The door does not lock at all now. Usually, takes a turn of the Alan wrench and boom - locks! Now it doesn't even do that. Called them out couple more times to have them look at the locks -- Still does not work. To conclude they call back and said I'll need a new lock...........They can give me some quotes.......... Really, you "re-key" my door and break it and now tell me I need a new lock!? I guess I shouldn't worry about robbers breaking down the front doors anymore cause they've already came.... supposedly posing as locksmiths. read more

It appears Adam S (owner of CopperStart Security) continues to post misrepresentations of the truth on several review websites and I grow even more disappointed in his actions. What Adam fails to mention is that the original install that his company did was done poorly and is not consistent with what would be expected by a professional security installation company. I willingly followed his instructions and called the alarm company to come fix the problem in lieu of his company; the alarm company's response was that CopperStar did not properly install and setup the glass break remote sensors. The security alarm stated that the installer did not properly program them and that is the reason why it led to so many false alarms. Adam has argued on several occasions and other websites that the issue was that I moved the sensors. Again, this is another misrepresentation of the truth as the alarm company had to fix an improperly programmed sensor and that is only something Adam's employees could have done. It is above and beyond any immaterial adjustments I made. I severely disappointed by Adam's conduct and professionalism. I struggle to understand on how he can think this is good business. Instead of trying to reach a mutually beneficial resolution or "smoothing things over." it appears he wages a war on his customers on Yelp and other websites. See his other comments on other Yelpers' reviews of CopperStar. See his comments on Angie's list. This is a pattern and he appears he is more concerned with battling people then doing what is right. I have tried to provide constructive criticism in the past and unfortunately it appears Adam has resulted led to online harassment and bullying because of that. I honestly hope for the best for CopperStar but the future does not look good if Adam continues to run his business this way and treats good paying customers like this on the internet. It is shame that sites like Yelp and Angie's List are meant to be safe environment for reviewers and Adam won't respect that. read more

An ARCO employee by the name of Brent came to recode my garage door. Later that day, I noticed that the cover for the garage unit on the ceiling was missing, leaving the lightbulb exposed. When I called to inform ARCO of this, they asked me to text photos, acknowledged receiving them and said they would call me back. After nearly a month went by with no call back, I called THEM. Brent and the company refused to take responsibility for replacing the missing cover. Very poor customer service. I would not recommend ARCO. read more

I found ARCO through my home warranty company. Honestly, I do not know where they have been all my life! They saved me so much time and the services were fairly priced, granted I think the pricing may have been different since it was arranged through my home warranty company. I had them change out the locks, re-key my home, reprogram the garage remotes, and install a security system. Josh was the technician who came to my home, and he is the best! First, I was late to the appointment due to work, but he was very professional about it and went on his business as usual. He worked very, very quickly but was precise and knew exactly what he was doing. I may have surprised him with some additional service requests, but he was very amenable to doing anything I requested. When I asked him for an opinion, he was very decisive, and he communicated in a way that was direct, straight to the point. He also took some time to teach me how to use the security system. He double checked his work to make sure all was in working order before he left. I guess this review is more about the technician they sent to my house, but if Josh is an indicator of the quality of the company, I would have to say they are top-notch. A little more about the security system, they use the MONI Smart Security. The security panel provided to me was touch screen and easy to use. It has the ability to talk, rather than beep. The door sensors are small and adhesive to the wall rather than drilled into the wall. The small size is more aesthetically acceptable for me, and I prefer my items to be stuck onto the wall rather than drilled. It also has website and phone app capabilities. The entire system is extremely easy to navigate. read more

Arco was the company contracted by my home warranty to re-key the locks on my recent home purchase. After submitting the warranty service request I received a phone call from ARCO to confirm the work to be done and scheduled for the work to be done the next day. The tech (sorry, can't recall his name) called 10 minutes before he arrived as promised. When he arrived he verified who he was, asked a few questions, checked the locks to be re-keyed and got the job done within 15 minutes. What stood out was he answered a couple of my questions regarding my locked mail-box and gave me advice on how to handle it. My installer, Luke, was on time and very efficient in re-keying the locks and installing a new alarm system. He went above and beyond by fixing one of the deadbolt anchor holes and was very quick about it. He discussed where the alarm keypad could go and asked, ultimately, where I would like it placed. The guy came through "OneGuard Home Warranty" (donot buy this) Did not perform anything and I had paid $75 dollars for the 1 minute conversation we had. I had to cancel since his company charged $15/hole of a key which meant payning another $60 extra on top of the $75 to complete the job. Not an approachable demeanor either. Do not use this company. I technician was dispatched to rekey 3 doors. The technician broke two of the three latches and sent us an email when I complained offering to fix it for $169. Are you kidding? You brake the latches and then try and charge me $169 to fix what you broke? Again stay away from this company. I have also filed a claim with the BBB reporting this company. read more
