After Lowes, Home Depot, Ace Hardware told me they could not cut my ebike key blank because they only cut keys purchased from them, I needed a locksmith. Hence Yelp. Johnny replied promptly. At his shop he immediately identified the 2 key blanks from Lectric ebikes were WRONG blanks for my original key and pointed out why. He would look for a substitute in his own inventory. After about 30 minutes he presented me with 2 different freshly cut copies. I did not have my bike with me to test whether they worked. Without charge he said go home, test them and call with results. One of the 2 new blank cuts WORKED! I called to give him the good news and a credit card. In spite of my insistence to pay him, he DECLINED to charge me?! Huh??? This man was so friendly and so knowledgeable. I am completely bewildered by all of these positive reviews. This was one of the biggest scams I have ever experienced. I was told that there would be a $45 service charge for someone to come out. Well, they came out all right----an hour or so late--- and tried to charge me $450 for picking a very basic lock which took less than 10 minutes. Then they came back again because "his boss" didn't want to accept a credit card and insisted that I use their application (which I reluctantly did just to get rid of them). The lock of my front door was hopelessly stuck and after browsing the reviews on yelp I decided to go with these guys. The serviceman arrived within half an hour of my call and with special tools was able to get the door open, replace the broken part and reconfigure the locking mechanism so that I did not need a new set of keys. So I got the keys to my new place today & actually was missing a few keys. It had been on the market for a couple of months, so who knows what happened to them? At any rate, I had already bought a new lock & handset for the front door. I also needed a lock replaced on a storage door, & a patio door with a missing key rekeyed. They had to take off the crappy lock that was on the front door, & do a whole new installation which involved drilling holes in the door, etc. They did fast work.
