After talking it through with someone more familiar with car maintenance, it became clear that I was likely overcharged for a job that should have been quicker and more reasonably priced. What made the experience worse was the interaction before my appointment. When I asked for clarification about being told I may need "air," EU laughed at me for asking. I'm neurodivergent and sometimes take things more literally, so I was just trying to confirm whether I was being charged for something that is often free. Instead of explaining, I felt mocked for asking a simple question. Because of this experience, I no longer feel comfortable or confident returning here. I had my car towed in that night and put the keys in the key drop. I called them at 9 AM when they opened the next day and explained the situation. I told them that I would really like to leave for home that evening. Mike was very thorough and showed me exactly what was going with the vehicle. He was able to replace all the parts and have my car ready by 5 PM. I simply picked it up and drove safely home 400 miles. I have also had Mikes replace a starter on my daughter's car this year.
