The worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life from the woman at the register. I stopped in to use the restroom and was immediately told I need to buy something first. I politely said I don't think I can hold it that long but I 100% plan on buying something. She insisted on making me wait(which I would have understood following company policy) but the amount of attitude and disrespect from her is completely unacceptable. Horrible customer service. Spent $55 on Lucas oil engine cleaner, gum, protein shake and hand wipes. Spent 5 minutes outside Organizing my truck, out of Everyone's way. Then I used the restroom. Restroom had sh*t on the handle and a had air dryer that didn't even work. No paper towels. I think the woke/lonely/plus size angry cashier lady/person/them was just so upset that I asked which restroom is the men's restroom cuz literally as I'm parked in a proper parking spot outside, another male cashier came outside to say his manager (a lady) was watching cameras and complained that I am loitering. ... really? While I usually go to Arco during "normal" business hours - which is early in the morning for me - it was unusual that I headed over there after midnight. But I did. After midnight adventures usually end badly, but this ARCO was awesome! The gas pumps were clean, the store was neat and tidy, and I even felt as if I could use the CLEAN restroom! I've written before about how much I appreciate the coffee bar setup these guys have - syrups, creamers, various flavors of freshly brewed coffee - and they don't disappoint even after midnight! I went into this location as I normally do to purchase coffee and water this time when I went in 7/26/2024 around 10:35pm o went over to the coffee station they were all closed down for the night which wasn't a problem I went to get water and a canned coffee while doing that the cashier Maria while helping another customer yells over to me that there isn't any coffee I told her I noticed she then says Yeah I don't make coffee at night which I knew not to be true being I come often to this location and I purchase coffee so I told her that isn't true she began to be combative and I told her it's not a big deal I'll get a can of coffee and water it's fine the whole time I have a ear pod in my ear speaking to family the situation became so heated that I'm explaining to family what's going on and that it was all stupid Maria then grabs my coffee can and water that I was trying to purchase and stated that she was refusing me service claiming that I called her stupid and she began to tell me to go to another store she was very rude her actions where very uncalled for and I asked for their corporate number she refused to provide the number I feel like I was targeted by Maria being that I was the only black customer in the store I'm a customer that should be treated with respect and not only that I work nights and I don't have time for experiences like that I did return and I was provided with the contact information to report her lack of customer service read more

Pretty great gas prices for Orange, CA. What's really great about this gas station location is more The Location. It is a super easy on and off from the 55 freeway either direction. We stopped over here to fill up the gas tank and it a clean station, easy to access the tanks without a super long line or anything. And the transaction was done very quickly and easily. I have been here a number of times and never encounter panhandlers like some other YELPERS have, so I don't know if that was simply a time of day issue. I'll tell you, in Orange, CA, it's very difficult for a retail management store to "get ride" of pan handlers. It's certainly clean and safe, so if it's an issue for you, stay in your car. It's well light, so I wouldn't be afraid that some incident would occur without being able to do something about it. Plus, you can always phone the Orange Police and they are very responsive. You could simply tell them, "I am afraid for my personal safety." And I'm sure they would be right over. Sadly, they do need to refill the paper in the transaction machine more often and stop using the "clerk has receipt" as a cheap ploy to get you out of your car and to come into the store in hopes of your impulse purchasing something. Watch your money.... We went March 15, 2022 and paid in $100 cash and went out to pump the gas and it stopped at $60. When we went in to ask why it stopped the cashier (guy) said no you paid with debit. What? Then he tried to say it wasn't him. Liar. We asked for a manager and they never came out. But the guy went to the back then came back and said, oh I forgot yes you did give me $100. LIAR, THIEF, and horrible customer service from the manager who couldn't even come out to say anything. Make sure you get a receipt regardless of how you pay. NEVER after more than 10 years of coming here will we return. so i came here the other day before work to get gas really quick, i normally go to chevron and i live extremely close to both. i went in and paid $20 in cash and went to the pump and NO GAS CAME OUT. i tried and few times and nothing. i go back in and the guy says oh here it says you took the $20 of gas and to which i replied no i didn't because nothing came out. he had there supposed manager come out and he pull his truck over and " tested " it and it worked and i let him know well hey nothing came out and he shrugs his shoulders and was like idk it says you took it. i go back inside and i ask the guy for a refund and the manager comes in and says i can look at the cameras if i want but i don't feel like it right now. i was like ok so ill just take my $20 and the guy proceeds to tell me he can't bc it will show he is $20 and i let him know i will not be paying for something i didn't receive. the manager proceeds to tell him in spanish " give her the f******g money she was probably on her phone so give it to her so she can leave " i ended up just going to chevron across the way. Another day. Another Yelp event where I'm running out of gas and hoping I'll make it to the nearest gas station. Luckily this one was in the same lot of my event. I just had to make sure my car would start and take me here. Which it did. Hooray! It was really late at night and I appreciated that this place was brightly lit and kinda busy. Most Arcos make you pay at a central location, remember your pump number, etc but this one had a pay station at the pump. You could pay with credit card, debit card or cash. Wow! Why don't all Arcos have this????? I also had to use the restroom while I gassed up and was pleasantly surprised by how clean the convenience store and the restroom were. This is the easiest place for me to stop for a snack or a drink on my way to The Yoga Mat, just up the block. Three stars for convenience, one star for taking your life into your own hands during ingress and egress off and on Katella Ave. You're essentially merging onto a freeway when you leave if you take Katella out. So dont! Go around the back out to Tustin Ave. past the Office Depot - then you can go left on to Tustin and left on to Katella if you need to get back to the 55. I don't buy gas here, but for the store there is always parking available and the place is fully stocked. Just keep your wits about you. This is a very busy gas station and there are always people milling about, not paying attention. I've never had to wait long at all inside. read more

This is basically a warning for all Arcos. Swipe your debit card at your own risk. A few months back, I filled up at the Arco on Katella right at the 55. A few days later, I get a phone call from my bank's fraud department about someone trying to use my card in Mexico - a lot. Luckily my bank stopped all the transactions and I wasn't dealing with money fraudulently taken out of my account. I noticed one of the employees walking around that evening and it's like he was swiping his phone by all the pumps where you'd insert your card. Something about it just didn't seem right. I got that gut feeling that something was off about what he was doing, but at that point it was too late as I'd already started pumping my gas. Fast forward to this week... I filled up at a different Arco, on Chapman a little east of the 55. Sure enough I get a phone call from my fraud department today that someone in Garden Grove tried to withdraw $200 from my account. Funny, since I hadn't even left my house. My immediate thought was my card got swiped again at Arco! Then, just now talking to my roommate, I mentioned my card got skimmed (I didn't mention Arco), and she proceeds to tell me about her card getting skimmed at an Arco!!! So, I told her that's exactly what I suspected as well. I know their gas is cheaper than most places - but after this being the second time dealing with this, and knowing my roommate had the same issue with Arco, I felt the need to post a "Buyer Beware" regarding what seems to be an ongoing issue at this particular gas station brand. read more

Honestly, this is a great regular gas station to commit to. I live in Villa Park and this place is great for a few reasons. 1. Usually the cheapest gas around! Specially when compared to it's competitor across the street. 2. It's close to the freeways. Cheap gas is good but cheap gas in your morning commute route is even better! 3. The gas station is clean! Some gas stations are so ghetto that they make me feel like a homeless man trying to fill his tank. All in all this is a great place - again, a great one to commit to! read more

Can't give it no stars because the gas station itself is great and clean albeit a few inoperable pumps from time to time. But for whatever reason the workers here all have a crazy attitude problem. I lived in orange for years and continued to encounter this at this particular location. I tell myself every time to not come back and eventually I do because it's always the cheapest gas. I never use my Debit card, but I was in the area and needed gas and they only allow debit card use. So against my better judgement I went ahead and used it. Not even an hour later I noticed I received a fraud text alert! Checked my email and sure enough my bank was warning me that someone was trying to charge my account for nearly $200!.. It's likely the cheapest gas station in all of Orange County. I drive a lot. So every nickle to the gallon easily adds up, especially since I'm having to put in the 91 premium. In the course of I would say three weeks, as I've seen other stations raise to well over the $3 a gallon, they've somehow have kept it at $2.75. Hmmm, should I even be writing this review to share? I don't need the lines backed up. Fortunately, for the early mornings or evenings I come by, I've had no *knock on wood* problems pulling right up to a pump. I've also had no problems with the workers being prompt or friendly when I've walked in to pay. It's a great location that I've been able to map out as part of my route since it's right off of the 55 frwy. The only problem I've come across was when one of the pumps, #5 to be exact, didn't have that safety lock and I've had to hold down the handle. I know, first world problems. But I don't at all mind. It's an extremely minor inconvenience considering how I'm saving those extra $ that allows me to be a little less of a tightwad on the other fuel of importantance in my life called coffee. This is my all time favorite gas station! Unfortunately, it is nowhere near I live, but whenever I am in the area, I try to remember to fill up here! First, gas is usually cheaper here than any other gas station I go to. Since this is close to a nicer part of town, you would think that the gas would be expensive, but it's quite the opposite. Also, this gas station is GIANT, so I never have had to wait in a line, or really go out of my way to make my way to a pump. It is very clean, and also very well lit at night which makes me feel very safe when pumping gas at night. I love this Arco, and I will keep coming back. read more

Never again. A pump at this station was defective and spewed gas all over my car. I tried to resolve the issue by calling the store manager but she was not helpful. She tried to discredit everything I said and didn't believe the pump had issues until after she reviewed the camera recording and had her own technician come to verify it. Then I got the run around and didn't get any sort of reimbursement until I showed up in person during her work hours. I asked to speak to her supervisor and she refused. Has gone from sugar to shit in the past month. Half of their pumps don't have working card readers, issue still not resolved. Not to mention the software takes forever to authorize payment. DO NOT USE THIS ARCO!!!! I went in to report a defective pump and the cashier shrugged. "Oh it has plenty of problems". I had to clear the previous purchases, input my card 3 times and then had to guess whether it was ready -- the computer screen never indicated. The pump clicked off and the numbers stopped rolling so I gave it a few minutes before I pulled the nozzle free. The gas gushed out of it, wetting me from head to toe and driving up the price. The clerk knew all about pump 12 but said it's not his problem -- he's not the owner. I said, "You could put sign on it not to use it!" He shrugged. I asked for the owner's name and number which he wouldn't give me. I just had to return tomorrow morning. That's one way to duck complaints -- how many people would return? Me. Then he told me to leave because he had customers. I guess I didn't count because they already had my $. But never again. read more

This is a tragedy. The gas station is conveniently located and easy to get to. But the service employees are rude and show no compassion for their customers. They don't say please or thank you. The gas pumps don't take the ATM cards. It's has been broken for quite some time. There's nothing convenient about it. When asked what's the deal or any idea to when the problem will be fixed, they gesture like it'll be fix when it gets fix. I rather 20 cents more and get better service than deal with this. The gas pump had a sign to go inside to pay. When inside there was a sign for debit online line and cash only, no credit. The cashier put my debit to the wrong pump, then when ask to void transaction, the cashier refused to give me a receipt. It shouldn't be difficult to void a transaction. read more
