I took my vehicle to Becker Tire now Stress Free Auto Care expecting routine, professional service. Instead, I experienced carelessness that led to serious damage and a complete refusal to take responsibility. I dropped my truck off on Saturday, March 14th at 9:00 AM. Around 2:30 PM, I received a call that the four tires I requested to have replaced was ready for pick up. After paying $1,061.57 for the tires and labor, I drove off the lot only for my truck to begin violently shaking, forcing me to pull over immediately. I contacted my husband, who came to assist, but the truck was undrivable. I returned to Stress Free Auto Care and explained the situation. At that point, my husband was already waiting for a tow truck. Instead of addressing the issue, we were told they were closing and would not inspect the vehicle until Monday. I could hear the mechanic complaining that he was tired and didn't want to wait around when the manager went to speak to him. I specifically asked if anyone actually drove my truck to test it and was told no they did not road test it. Obviously. Due to the poor customer service and urgency of the situation, we had the truck towed to Toyota of Orange. After inspection, we were informed that the lug nuts had been grossly over-tightened, three were broken and one was missing entirely. This was not a minor mistake; it caused significant damage to the wheel components and created a serious safety hazard. Proper torque is a basic standard that any competent shop should follow, yet it was clearly ignored. No one from Stress Free Auto Care contacted us at any point the following week. After Toyota kept the truck for a week and a half, we were left with a repair bill of $3,332.03. My husband sent a certified letter to Stress Free Auto Care, including documentation of the damages and requesting reimbursement. The manager eventually responded, offering to reimburse only the cost of the tires without acknowledging the additional damages or expenses incurred. As a result, we have filed a lawsuit to recover our losses. I dropped in this morning to have the tires that I bought when this place was owned by Becker rotated, on the regular maintenance schedule. The new owners 1) did not have Becker customer information on file, 2) would not honor the Becker Tire service schedule, and 3) could not tell me how much it would cost to have my tires rotated! Go elsewhere! My car has a TPMS issue and came here to get one of the sensors replaced. After the TPMS sensor was replaced, the mechanic took the car around the block to ensure the alert had cleared. It did not. He took the car back into the engine bay and added more air into the tire. He then called another mechanic to take a look at the alert... After several minutes tinkering with the screen, one mechanic took the car for another drive around the block. When he got back, there were further discussions and tinkering going on, and a different mechanic took the car out around the block... The TPMS alert still had not cleared. At this time, I see them come back and park my car into a spot and I notice one of my aftermarket wheels (passenger rear) now has a fresh curb rash on it. Of course, I'm pissed. I baby my car and my wheels are not cheap. I bring this up to the mechanics. Every single one of them denied any wrongdoing. They said they only worked on the one wheel with the TPMS issue and hence, didn't cause it. They point to some rock chips already on my wheel. They blame me saying it was already there and because I have no proof it is not their fault. All the excuses in the book! They bring out the owner and he denied wrongdoing and any type of accountability for his people. Oh and btw, the TPMS issue?! It is still there and not fixed. That's $80 (for the "repair") + wheel damages + go somewhere else who knows what they are doing to fix the issue, that I now have to cover because I thought this place was an honest establishment. F this place. With so many other establishments out there, why support one that treats customers like this. Lessons Learned - #1 - Do not support this business. They don't take any ownership of their mistakes and inability to fix an issue. #2 - If you care about your car, ALWAYS take a walk around video (or take pics) of your car before handing it over to someone else. I even replied to ask how long the process would take and again, and very timely response. When I arrived, I didn't have an appointment but was able to check in and hand over my keys at 9:35am on a Thursday morning. To my surprise, they called my name and I finished paying all by 9:55am. Preparing for a short road trip with the family, I also asked if I could pay for an alignment and check of the brakes. Humberto recommended I come back another time for the alignment because the shop was already understaffed that Saturday, and he didn't want his customers waiting too long. Eventually, he asked if I lived nearby and don't mind leaving the car, he could have the team perform all my requested services. I took him up on that offer. They also kindly gave me ride home. The driver was also super nice and personable. A few hours later, I received a call from Humberto letting me know the oil change was complete AND my alignment and brakes did not require service. I even received a print out of my current alignment specs. Such a nice feeling to know Becker did not charge me for unnecessary services, even though I requested them. Words can't describe how thankful I am right now. Went to 3 different tire shops and the dealership. Nobody wanted to patch my tire. Long story short life ain't perfect but I cannot afford to purchase a tire at the moment. And this was my last stop because I didn't know where else to go and they were the first shop to show up on my Yelp. And yes my tire was patched. They got the job done. They put back my spare for me which is a big plus because I had a hard time taking it out myself. I'm very thankful for this shop helping me out today. Wow, where do I begin? They did a brake job on my car a little over 2-years ago and Before they started the work I told Rusty that I wanted OEM replacement parts because the brakes were squeaky from a previous repair, he said "Of Course". 2-weeks later the new brakes were squeaking again, I went back and they made adjustments. About 2-3 week later they were squeaky loudly again, I went back for the 3rd time and I guess they finally decided to put OEM brake pads in and the problem was solved. Fast forward to about a few months ago when it was time for another brake job, believe it or not, the "EXACT SAME THING HAPPENED", even after telling them to please use OEM parts, and I reminded them about the last time. This time after 2-3 weeks, again the brakes start squeaking loudly, so loud that people walking on the side walk would actually turn their heads and look at my car. Needless to say after the 2nd adjustment and the problem coming back again 3- weeks later I said "There is no way in hell that I am going back for a 3rd time, AGAIN" I went to another shop and for 2-months now there has not even been one squeak. I would Never recommend this business Becker Tire. They try to save a few bucks by installing Cheaper replacement parts and they Honestly didn't give a $hit that I had to spend $$$ on numerous Uber return trips because they decided not to listen to me and instead try to save a little money. When he handed me the invoice that said $0, I asked him what about payment and he said, "I don't want to charge you for a little repair like this.
