I was led to a booth for four (despite passing multiple curtained empty booth for two) and the destination was by a waiters stand, in view of the kitchen door. The waitress had never heard of San Pellegrino, and returned telling me, "We've just run out of it". She obliged me with a 20oz glass of pineapple juice instead. The food was great, and came out fast. The miso was so hot, I wondered if the active cultures had been burned out. Very nice restaurant right on NFB we rode our e-bikes to from the Rv park. Very clean grill as we perused the menu. Very nice hostess sat us down and she was training a newbie. Amy was our very friendly and helpful server. Tammy The Tornado ordered the filet mignon as usual and I got the chicken and shrimp. Breaking from our "day drinking is for losers" policy the Nado just had to order a glass of Chardonnay and I got a coors light because I'm not suffering in Niagara falls. Went in here for dinner tonight, the place is pretty big inside. They have various tables, some group teppanyaki group tables, some small enclosed tables for two, booths, and a sushi bar at the back. Needless to say, if you can't find a suitable table setting for you here, then I don't know what we can do for you! We had excellent service. Our server was very friendly, quick, and informative. We ordered a pitcher of hot sake, which was good for about 8 glasses of sake. It was a bit strong but warmed us up quickly. For dinner, we ordered the spring roles, steak fried rice, spicy tuna role, and eel and avocado role. The spring roles were served hot and tasted really good; crispy and good flavor. There wasn't a lot of flavor to the NY steak pieces within the fried rice, and it was pretty chewy, but the fried rice as a whole was delicious. Perhaps next time I would get the chicken fried rice. The tuna and eel roles were made well and had good flavor to them. Our meals included salad, which was really fresh and crunchy, with a nice ginger dressing. They both have the habachi tables, and we all know about the excitement that comes with sitting at these tables. But unlike the Transit Rd location, they do not offer a Chinese menu. I like ordering the orange chicken, or the beef and broccoli dishes. Also, the Niagara falls location food taste a little different. I prefer Transit Rd's, fried rice over the Niagara falls location. My fiancé and I came in for the lunch special. Fuji Grill has some of the best sushi in the Buffalo area. Their ingredients always taste fresh. For $9 for 2 rolls or $12 for 3 rolls, you can't really beat that price! We also got a free side of gyozas just for checking into Yelp. The teriyaki chicken was also delicious. The chicken was a little crispy, and the sauce was not too salty or overwhelming. Overall, I was pretty content with my visit except for the service. I ordered a sex on the beach and waited almost half an hour for it. I was done with my meal when I asked the waitress and she told me the bartender was making it. Been going to this location for years now and always a good time. My kid is obsessed with going here as often as possible. The food has always been great and the habachi chefs are always putting on a good show. For my sons birthday we even got a special room in the back which was nice to be away from the crowd during COVID. The drinks are so good I especially love the Mai Tai which sadly isn't listed on the menu anymore, but I order it and I've never had a problem. I never ordered the sushi before until last time, and I'm upset I hadn't because it was some of the best sushi I've ever had. Amazing spicy tuna roll, will definitely be back for sushi sometime. We were seated within 5 minutes of arriving and actually got our own hibachi table since no one else showed up around the time we did. Service was overall good (when we had it), but really slow and it seemed like they were short on waitstaff. Our cook, Leo, was an absolute delight. He was funny and engaged with the three of us. I was apparently pleasantly surprised by this place. It doesn't look like much from the outside but the waitress was super friendly, the prices were reasonable, and everything was actually really good. The food came out with little wait. I had the hibachi filet mignon and shrimp with fried rice. Everything had a lot of flavor and my filet mignon was cooked just right! I was happy that they separated the food a bit as most hibachi places tend to just throw it all on the plate. We also ordered some sushi rolls. I got the shrimp tempura which I usually get and it was good. For drinks I tried the Fuki Cosmo which was plum wine, vodka, and something else mixed in but it was really good and a little icy which was a surprise. I would recommended to try it. They also had sake flights available as well. I would definitely recommend for anyone to come try it out. They have options if you want to sit by the hibachi grill or sit at a booth. Wow, what a fantastic time! We were invited here by a friend of mine who was having her birthday party here. I wasn't too sure of what to expect when we came in here, not really knowing much about the place except that we were anticipating a show. Our party was big enough to take up 3 hibachi grills, and I totally planted myself right in front of one of them. I ordered chicken hibachi, with friends around me ordering steak and shrimp. All together our hibachi meals came with meat, rice, vegetables, a side of shrimp, and a small salad to start. When the hibachi chef finally rolled his cart out I nearly died of laughter with the show they put on. The chef came around with a squeeze bottle of sake to test how much everyone could chug (no, you don't have to partake if you don't want to) and began cooking the rice, veggies, and meat right on the grill in front of us. He also tossed bits of broccoli in the air for us to catch in our mouths (I got mine on the first try!) and roasted our eyebrows off with some awesome fire displays (not really, but it was pretty hot!). He had noodles on the grill that he'd give to couples and make them do the whole Lady & The Tramp kiss, which was equally adorable and hilarious. Even with all the entertainment, I think I enjoyed watching the chef cook right in front of us the most- he mixed fried eggs with the rice, which is a recipe I really want to try at home now, because it was absolutely delicious! I couldn't really wait to let the entire dish come together because everything was so tasty. He cooked the chicken with such delicious sauces, and the vegetables were a perfect addition to the plate. We also passed around a communal Volcano bowl instead of giving a toast, and got to give my friend birthday spankings with a spatula. We went there around 9:30pm on a weekend, and it was the last Hibachi table of the night... most likely the chef was exhausted, thus couldn't show much of his performance. They try to keep the place clean (maybe trying too hard, as they were literally cleaning the next table's cooktop with ladders and floors with brooms while we were eating!!) still the place needs some uplift and interior refresh. Generally the sushi here is fairly hit or miss, I'm assuming by whoever is working that day. Sometimes the crunch added to the sushi is crunchy, sometimes it's stale (not that big of a deal). The sushi itself is pretty solid so I've never complained but today was enough for me to actually write a review. The salmon rolls I ordered were not cleaned properly, leaving inedible rubbery fat or skin on it. You could tell that whoever made them was just trying to use the rest of the fish because they were smaller than the rest, and all fatty pieces that looked like what you would discard when cleaning a fish. Being in the area for the weekend, I've read some great things about this restaurant and made it a priority to visit. Being a Saturday and also the day before Valentine's Day, I was quite worried of not being able to dine with Fuji Grill. I happened to be staying down the street, I called and spoke to a very nice gentleman on the phone. Unfortunately I wasn't able to catch his name, but even with a party of just myself, he thankfully was able to squeeze me into a very packed and busy service. Having shown up within 15 minutes, I spoke to the gentleman on the phone and he walked me to my table. There were only a few seats available at the sushi bar which two were already occupied. The couple sitting there very kindly offered if I'd like to "join them" at the sushi bar which I went ahead and did so. I came into this restaurant with one thing in mind. Sashimi, and lots of it. I was very impressed with their a la carte menu, and selected a handful as sashimi. As I wait for my order, I found it quite incredible how well the few sushi chefs behind the counter worked. They were like a very well-oiled machine. The banter between them were very uplifting and I felt this cozy, relaxed, and comfortable atmosphere. I learned the couple next to me are regulars, visiting quite often but you can tell this is a local favourite of many. My sashimi selections came presented beautifully. Each and every piece was at it's optimum quality, and there wasn't a single piece I found off. Every piece was delicious but I have to say the salmon, yellowtail and scallop were phenomenal. I've been to many sushi restaurants mainly here in Rochester, but Fuji Grill at the Niagara Falls location easily has made it on my top 5 of all time. I want to mention the hospitality, and attention of my server "Michael" was top notch. Even for a extremely busy night, his service was not affected. I also want to thank Tony and Doreen who were the couple who've invited me to sit with them, and provided me great company throughout the night. After experiencing oysters last week, I've been on a kick to try new things. Today I tried sushi for the first time. The smoke salmon wasn't much of a leap because I already eat smoked salmon, but I also tried the fresh salmon. You get wasabi and soy on the side. I enjoyed both and look forward to being more adventurous in the future. I also had the rockin' shrimp, which is akin to bang bang shrimp at other places. I like their preparation because they cut the shrimp into pieces before frying it in tempura batter, and you get a good amount for $6. I tried the Saki martini, which was light and refreshing. The restaurant is small but attractive. Service is friendly and accommodating. I look forward to treating myself now again in the future. It's right up the road from my gym. I will say with covid the hibachi kind of made me nervous which is why we didn't do it. There were still a lot of people in the restaurant and pretty packed together, even waiting inside for a table. Aside from that food is good, and the service is good. Wait staff very pleasant. All the locations are good haven't had a bad meal here. Sometimes even chain franchises restaurants deserve our love, especially when they do it well (hey - there's a reason it became a franchise in the first place). Even more so that even after becoming a popular chain, they do not compromise on quality. Fuji Grill surpasses expectations in serving authentic Japapense cuisine with great ambiance, prompt and easy service and is an excellent addition to Niagara Falls (which, while being a popular tourist destination still lacks great Japanese food!). I came here for lunch with my girlfriend and we were able to get in and out in under an hour, which is obviously important during the work week. The space is beautiful with a hibachi kitchen set up for those seeking that experience and booths and comfortable seating with regular wait service for others. Some of the booths even have curtains and are more 'intimate and romantic,' so this isn't a terrible place to bring a date either. We were impressed with prices on their lunch options. For $10, you can have your choice of 3 different sushi rolls (15+ pieces total) and the sushi is high quality. We chose spicy salmon, crab and a tuna roll and it was superb. I also ordered shrimp oodon buckwheat noodle stir fry for myself (around $11) and it came with a generous portion. The sushi was fresh and delicious, although not as well sourced as you'd get in downtown Buffalo's Seabar. Each bite was a delectable crisp of heaven, but I had to be careful to get the right amount of soy sauce on it, otherwise I'd think it was too salty (despite it being a reduced salt kind of soy sauce). Both our entrees came with a small serving of miso soup which was perfect! Not salty at all, which is my biggest concern with miso soup in some other places I've got it. Now for the negative: the coffee was way too bitter and low quality. It was my first cup of coffee of the day and it just wasn't pleasant. Best hibachi experience I've ever had, hands down! Manny and I dined here on Saturday, July 2nd around 7:30 pm. Being that it was the weekend of both Canada Day and USA's Independence Day and this restaurant is only 15 minutes away from Niagara Falls, I'm surprised that we were seated right away and it was empty inside. The only other people at our big hibachi table were two other tourists from New Jersey. A server named Farita seated us and asked if we were celebrating any occasions. We told her that we were mainly visiting for the long weekend, but our anniversary was on Tuesday so it was still a bit early. She said it still counted, so she can back with a smiley face balloon and a flaming drink on the house! I'm not sure what the drink was called, but I loved its presentation and it tasted sooo yummy. Our hibachi chef, Simon, was super entertaining. The hibachi chefs here all wear cowboy hats, which is pretty hilarious in my opinion, and they're all very generous with the amount of sake they squirt into your mouth. He was a great chef as well! I ordered steak and salmon hibachi with rice, and Manny ordered steak and chicken hibachi with noodles. The food was beyond amazing - my salmon especially. After we finished eating our entrees, Farita came by with complimentary scoops of ice cream on a plate that said "CONGRATS" written on it in chocolate syrup. The staff here is so sweet, I can't get over it!!! A different group of people was celebrating a birthday at the next table over, and the whole staff went to their table singing accompanied by a big drum. Loved that too! This was definitely the most fun and interactive experience I've ever had at a hibachi restaurant, and I've been to MANY in NJ. The food was delicious too!
