I recently visited Arctos with a colleague who works from this coffee shop regularly. It's a really inviting and cute space, making it the perfect place to grab some caffeine and get some work done too. There is a small selection of food available and fun seasonal specials. During my visit I sat inside but the retractable garage door was partially open allowing for some fresh air. There are some small tables inside and a large communal table. Arctos also has outdoor seating too. For lunch I got a turkey croissant. The pesto came on the side, which was nice because I could add as much as I wanted. There is a small parking lot off of Hamilton, which is convenient and a little challenging to get out of the lot when there is traffic on Hamilton.

We stopped here in our cross country roadtrip to get some needed caffeine. So happy they had 20oz iced drinks because it was desperately needed. Place has plenty of seating but we took our coffees to go. Pastry selection was slim and unappealing. My americano was solid.

You know your code will be good when there's a non-stop line out the door. Cute shop, delicious coffee, love supporting small businesses. The college vibe is fun and was pleasantly surprised with by the offerings - espresso, lotus, breakfast sandwiches, toasted bagels and a variety of to go snacks. The service was incredibly slow. Waited about 25 minutes for a bagel and two sandwiches which were warm but simple. Appreciated that everything was fresh ... sliced my berries for my parfait right on the spot! I'll def be back!

So many great places to get coffee in the Spokane area. This place was so wonderful and inviting that we visited 3 times within a few days. The 2 baristas were super friendly and helpful. Most importantly, they both made awesome drinks. My husband had a hot green tea matcha latte that he said was the best he'd ever had. I had a 16 oz latte and the breakfast burrito. Enough food to take some home. Delish. Then we went back and he had a hot chai tea latte and I tried the iced dirty chai. Both great. We like whole milk. I bought a bag of whole espresso beans and already tried them at home. Fabulous. Great job to this coffee shop in Spokane. We will be back.

Ok, so this place is worth the visit. Like every time and all the time. Cute little shop w some really cool things for sale. Quick turn around on your order and a really friendly staff. The coffe was smooth and a little sweet but so totally worth it! I do wish the hammy had a few slices of bacon but first time try and so darn good. Totally approve!

I love visiting coffee shops and the vibe + service of this place was amazing. I will admit... it is hard to find the front door... it is on the conjoined building next door. The menu has all the classics plus signature drinks. I got the Logan Latte iced with whole milk (as opposed to the oat milk it comes with). It was very well done--delicious espresso with great flavor. They also have a great stand full of stickers. Overall: great seating, great drinks, great energy from staff!

This is my go to coffee shop. I love the staff and atmosphere. Everyone is always so friendly and the vibe is just right to sit and read or get some work done on your laptop! They have a good protein latte' and they roast their own beans right there! The coffee is always perfect and they have a good assortment of baked goods (bagels, croissants, etc...)

Okay I am a coffee addict. Bad coffee ruins lives. So two mornings of first sip cap breves here they don't ask me what size for a breve... they just defer to the smallest cup, which is how you know they are legit. Any barista who asks me what size after I order a Breve... is a coffee maker I back away from. Great roast. Love the palate. They support and build community in their space! Also productive work atmosphere.

Fab coffee shop in Spokane! Cute decor, roomy tables inside and out, baked goods from Love Bakery and delicious coffee. It's a good place to start the day or a spot to relax mid-day with a book or your laptop catching up on emails. Parking lot roomy as well so that's a bonus. Head on over for you next cup of Joe - call ahead also available. Support local!

There is a small space to sit that is primarily within the business, but plenty of room in the shared space if you are looking for a place to extend your visit. I asked the barista some questions and noticed that he was meticulously measuring coffee grounds by weight and tamping with precision. He was very helpful and willing to discuss the possibilities to help me land on my drink of choice. He proceeded to make me the best "dirty chai" I have maybe ever had. The chai is sourced from a small business in Bend. It was a perfectly spiced blend. The espresso was smooth and flavorful. It was so delicious I went back for another the next day. This establishment serves only beverages (as far as I could tell) but they are made with care and skill. Highly recommend.

In…read morethe past two years I have tried several well recommended spokane cafes that were all great, tasty, and slightly more expensive than I would like. Hatch beaker + burr transcends all of these. I never expected that I would find one of the best lattes I've ever tasted in Spokane of all places after being a Portland/Seattle coffee elitist. The seasonal dulce de leche iced latte was so strong in the best way and brought me back to life with how flavorful it was. Seven dollars even and worth every penny. You can see in the attached photos that I really tried to get every drop of the drink. It was so good that I got another latte to go (cardamom), also so so good. Everything else: cute space with lots of plants and two tables (but other seating available in the commons), barista who is clearly very knowledgeable about every part of the coffee and actually likes making the drinks. Really nice service and you get updated on your drink even when it's busy which is nice, I've never had that in other cafes. I really can't reiterate how amazing this coffee was. Must try if you have not, and if you have you definitely already know.

Atticus Coffee and Gifts combines two of my favorite things: a great gift shop and a great coffee…read moreshop. And out of all the new businesses I visited in 2025, this was my favorite. (Unfortunately I literally live on the other side of the country, so before my trip to Spokane ended I made it a point to stop by Atticus multiple times.) The gift shop portion of the store stocks what feels like a little bit of everything. Books, stickers, soaps, lotions, trinkets, home decor, t-shirts, art, books, cards, chocolates...and that's just what I remember! And then the coffee shop portion has a surprisingly large menu. I'm used to coffee shops in stores being more like small coffee stands; but nope, this operation feels like a fully stocked coffee shop. Plus they also serve tea, matcha, and smoothies...and breakfast sandwiches, AND pastries. As you might imagine: this all makes the store smell quite good! There aren't a ton of seats but when I visited with family, we managed to find a couple tables so we could enjoy our drinks and snacks sitting down. Their coffee is very, very tasty - I tried both hot and iced lattes during my multiple visits. I didn't have tea on-site but I did buy some of their blends to brew at home, and they are also very, very tasty. Unfortunately they don't do online sales, and since I was traveling I didn't have the space to pack up everything I wanted to take home with me. Maybe future me will have the chance to come back...in the meantime, I hope you lucky locals appreciate this place as much as I did!

I'll definitely be back to try more from the menu before giving that fifth star.

Indaba didn't just check the boxes, it made me wonder why every coffee shop doesn't operate this way. Walk in and the space stops you. Exposed brick, warm wood, art on every wall, and a ceiling that opens up the whole room. The seating runs from cozy couches to high tops to proper tables. no bad seat in the house. Outlets everywhere. A conference room available to rent. Whoever designed this place actually thought about the people using it. The staff made us feel welcome without trying too hard. That's a skill. We ordered hot and iced mochas and both were dialed in. My wife went bacon avocado toast, creamy avocado against crispy bacon, exactly right. I had the sunbutter banana toast and almost ordered a second one. We grabbed an apple fritter to go. It didn't survive the drive. The background music hits just right, easy listening layered under the natural buzz of a full, happy room. Prices are exactly what you'd expect to pay for coffee done well. Before you leave, browse the retail wall. Solid selection of beans to take home, plus some genuinely cute goods worth picking up. This place has real soul. You'll feel it.
