To be honest I thought we might just use ORR for a short time while I was pregnant and after the delivery of our baby but after I met Josh and saw how much Obie loves him I knew they would have a customer for life. Before booking runs with ORR, Obie was moderately exercised but as a large breed, working dog he needed more. Behaviorally he pulled a bit on the leash, had some separation anxiety, was frightened of and leash reactive with other dogs. Now though, Obie pulls less on our walks, has learned several useful commands (we did the additional brain games package in addition to the running) and is less reactive while on walks. As a rescue dog he has had some mild separation anxiety and seems to be more social and confident since going out with Josh. After each run Obie is happy for the entire day. Overall he seems more calm and peaceful after a run with Josh. Also, he has lost 3 pounds! One of my favorite things is when Obie sees Josh's car pull up he starts slowly wagging his tail and does a few of what we call "baby deer jumps", it's really sweet. I like to watch them run off together, Obie will look back to me just to double check everything's ok and then confidently turn to run again. It is really nice to see him be excited and not so worried about leaving my side. I am so happy we found Oregon Ruff Runners! They are flexible, affordable, up-to-date on training techniques, truly care about each dog's well being and care for the betterment of Eugene's dog community as a whole. She gets out and exercises which has increased her stamina, her strength, her overall health for sure and she gets to socialize with other dogs and hang out with Josh who is amazing! All I have to do is tell her Josh is coming today and she knows exactly what that means, she gets all excited and can't wait for her run. Josh is awesome with her, Sadie is a rescue and can be timid around new people but she knew right away she was safe with Josh and that was enough for me because if Sadie likes you, you're good people. Since I can't get Sadie out for the daily exercise she needs, this is perfect - it helps both of us as I don't have to feel guilty for working and she gets to make new friends. I have 2 small dogs, both in rehab for different reasons, and I never thought they would be able to do the water treadmill- with help from Dr. Iverson both took to it great. She gets right in the water with them - did I mention she is awesome??!! Dr Iverson is always warm and welcoming and truly cares for animals. I am so grateful to find See Spot Run and Dr. Iverson to help my doggies recover and feel better.

We were searching for a Shiba and are delighted to have found Charlotte with Castle Shibas…read more Charlotte is a well respected breeder of gorgeous Shibas. She also shows them and takes immaculate care of these wonderful dogs. At the outset we were looking for a puppy. We have experience with Shibas and were excited to add one to our home. We connected with Charlotte and Frank then traveled from Portland to meet them and put a deposit down on a puppy to be born later this year. While visiting this great family and their amazing dogs, we were lucky enough to find out that one of the 7 year old female Shibas was ready for her Forever Home. Long story short, we are completely blessed to have her in our home now as a companion dog for us. Her temperament is exceptional. She is extremely well trained, and the transition has gone really well. The care, love and attention Charlotte and Frank put into these pup's is second to none. It shows in their spirit, their thick healthy coat, their vet records, and in all interactions with Charlotte and Frank. It was tough for Charlotte to part with our Shiba, and understandably so. She made the transition very smooth, writing out all kinds of information, teaching us First Aid for dogs, providing ample information for any unexpected scenarios, and even bundling up our new pup with a blanket of familiar smells. Charlotte's level of care and professionalism, and her love for Shibas, is unparalleled. I highly recommend her for your new Best Friend -- the furry Shiba kind.

Our Junior passed away after a long and hard fight with FIV. We took him in last summer after he…read morespent most of his 14 years on the streets being abused. He was terrified of people but came to trust us as we cared for him. He declined quickly and we made the tough decision to say goodbye at Wilvet South. They work with this company and sent Junior to them with our permission. We got an email from WCPM less than an hour after Junior was gone. We took a couple of days to grieve and process and made the selections on the website. We chose the photo urn and a clay pawprint. We submitted our choices and paid on 4/28, two days after Junior left us. He was cremated on 5/1 and we didn't receive notification that he was ready until 5/6. Longer than expected, but maybe they're very busy right now. My partner went and picked Junior up. We live very close so it was convenient. He said the person he talked to was friendly and the process was quick: just sign a form and you get your pet back. Junior was in a velvet bag that was placed inside a paper gift bag. His pawprint was in a case similar to a jewelry case. There was an unmarked envelope that contained a certificate of cremation, which was a bit unexpected. We were expecting a card or something nice, not something so....clinical. The urn is fine, it looks a bit cheap. You have to unscrew it from the bottom and see your pets ashes in a bag if you want to put a photo in it. That's a bit much for us so we are going to see if we can slot a photo of our special boy in through the front of the frame instead. The thing that really dropped my rating happened today, the day after we brought Junior home. I was cleaning up and dealing with the bags left over after we put Junior on our mantle. The velvet bag has cremains on the outside of it. I picked it up and immediately touched the cremains of a pet, and I'm choosing to tell myself that it's not my Junior because that would break me in ways I can't even describe. It was clear that whoever packed our boy up put the bag on a surface that had cremains spilled on it. The cremains looked and felt like both ash and ground up bone. I immediately felt sick to my stomach and felt like I was going to pass out. What kind of careless person spills someone's beloved pet, doesn't clean it up, and then puts a pretty bag that goes to the client on top of that? How do you not immediately clean up something like that? Is the work area such a mess that this is unavoidable? Do they just spill cremains all over the place? Do they empty the cremulator all over a countertop and just sweep the remains into a plastic bag? What are they doing that this happened? It's completely unacceptable and the several people I've told about it have agreed. It was incredibly upsetting in the moment and now I'm just furious that these people were careless enough to allow it to happen. I would not allow WCPM to take care of another pet of mine when they're gone. We didn't have a choice this time, but next time I'm going to make sure we do. The day was so hard and I just didn't want to let him go. He was my heart, my best boy. We were treated with compassion, respect and knew we were leaving him in good hands. We got him back a week later. His urn is beautiful, and the presentation was more than we expected. The paw print in clay sits on a stand next to his urn. I still miss him terribly, and cry daily. But I know he was treated so well there.
