Being new to the Atlanta area I am currently looking for a stylist so I was completely open to anything. Let me first start off by saying this is a "hidden treasure" on North Side Drive, when I say "hidden" I mean there are no street signs for this place. In the back of a sign shop lies 2nd Level Hair Studio, a stylish yet modest salon; almost like a speak-easy. I had the pleasure of getting my hair done by Tyesha. I received a fabulous blow-out & trim. Full head of rainbow hair with an oil treatment for $340. 9 hours of work. I had highlights in my hair & my natural hair is pretty much black. The salon is small & has 2 stylists who are both beautiful people. I felt like we really bonded after this 9 hour laugh session. One of the other customers ordered take out so we split a pizza & had soda & candy like a real party. Violet specializes in creative color & also does cuts. The parking situation is fine... If you pop out on the back side of the strip mall, you gotta go between the buildings where the stairs are to get to the salon. If you're looking for color, I highly recommend seeing Violet!

It sheds like beauty supply hair (I haven't purchased beauty supply hair in over 15 years). There was another woman who left a review below that said it's bad quality and I should have listened. This is one of my worst experiences. Not even a month in and it's lost most of its density and length. From day 1 it was yellow and was shedding. I emailed them and they said that can happen....a month and a half in it's destroyed. Nothing has been done to this hair. Please listen to me and do not purchase this- it won't last more than a month (atleast the bundles) and it is not a good investment.

I wanted to get my first sew-in and did hours of research and came across Studio Techilo. Aida (the owner) does beautiful work but she's no longer accepting new clients. There are two other stylist in the salon Danni and Tianna, Danni was book until next month so I went with Tianna. I ordered the exotic curly bundles directly from the site and they were delivered very quickly! Tianna did an great job on the actual sew-in. She moved quickly and it was really flat and natural looking. But my two issues were... 1. How ruff she was detangling my real hair and the bundles. It felt like she doesn't work with natural hair often. 2. She didn't do a good job styling the bundles or my hair. I watched several videos of the owner styling the same type of bundles I had, but my hair didn't look anything how the owner styled them. I was very disappointed at how my hair looked when I left the salon. I had to go home and restyle my hair. Again the actual sew-in was great! And I believe she'll bo better styling straight hair rather than curly.

Initially I began getting hair extensions (sew-ins), but over time she convinced me to wear my natural hair. The weaves were always natural looking and lasted long and she always took care of my natural hair underneath the weaves. She is single handedly responsible for restoring my natural hair to a beautiful, healthy state and I'm so grateful for her. She colors, cuts, presses etc. with expertise like no one else. She's so knowledgeable about healthy hair. The new salon where Lee is located is beautiful and set up in suites, so there's a sense of privacy. The salon carries top of the line hair products such as Design Essentials. The moment you walk in the salon you are greeted with a smile. The customer service is great. The setting of the salon is intimate and as a client I'm able to have a one on one with my hair stylist. NOT EXPENSIVE AT ALL AND THE WAIT TIME IS NO MORE THAN 45-1 HOUR!!! I love the fact I don't have to be at the hair salon ALL DAY!!! So we have to zoom consultation on Tuesday and it went well she said she would book me for Saturday at 2. At the end of the zoom call she told me she would email me the location and codes to get in. Days past never got an email. I'm not worried because she said she lives at the same place so maybe not give people the codes to day of. NOPE. Saturday comes its 1:30 still no email so I drive over to the location that is on Google maps. Find the building a lady just so happened to be moving things so I came in through a side door. I walk a little turn right and boom a door with honeecomb on it I ring the door bell for about 10 minutes, no answer! So she got 50 dollars for a consultation, which she said would go towards the cost of the service. She is not trustworthy extremely unprofessional and scamming people . I walked into the salon with mostly black hair and lighter roots. Christina told me she could dye my RED and I left with my hair leaving 10x worse then I came in. I do NOT recommend this place. There was absolutely no professionalism she didn't even try to fix my red roots to match the rest of my hair. I knew something was wrong when she told me my hair was "wearable"...when in fact it is NOT. And continued to tell me I would need to come back 3-4 more times, sounds like she was trying to get more money out of me. It looks horrid, I am outraged and disappointed. If you can learn from me and my mistakes DONT COME HERE. I can't even go out in public or wear it in a bun.
