We called them for a tow to a mechanic close by. They gave an arrival time of about and hour, but…read morearrived in a little over 30 minutes. The driver, Mike P, was very professional, courteous, and quick. The hook-up fee was $200 (a little high, I thought, but I haven't done a tow in years), but the per miles was only $5.00.

This one is a long one...called around to get my box truck towed. Barbers towing said they could…read moretow my truck. Said they would have to unattach my driveshaft due to towing a heavy duty vehicle. Like okay i hear that, they unhook driveshaft and deliver to a discount tire 5 miles away due to my trucks front tire blowing in Milwaukee, thus needing the tow. When dropping it off the driver said discount tire can put it back on, i asked him if he knew that for certain or guessing. He shrugged...we paid then 50$ to unhook the driveshaft to then be told by the driver they cant hook it back up due to legality reasons....when we called the company back next morning asking them for a solution. The front desk lady told us that we lied about our vehicle size and that the cost shouldve been 800+. But we did tell them, texted them a picture and ALSO the driver wouldve "logically " tell us upon arrival that price would change or he cant due it because "we lied about our vehicle" (ill attach pictures of us texting them a picture of our rig). She continued to say that its common and all box truck owners know that upon towing the driveshaft would be unattached and would have to get it reattached on our own dime. Which thats not "common knowledge ". Wouldn't as a tow company, youd want to inform and educate your clients? They said we got a steal of a deal due to their new girl of one week "misquoting us". (Talk about poor management then)... I dont think 800+ for a single tow to then pay more money on top ($250) after the fact to make my truck DRIVEABLE again was "competitive ". Lesson learned only call if you have a small car!

If I could leave this company 0 stars I would do so. My husband and I purchased a car-a beat up…read moresuv for our son and it was located in a very shady part of Portland. We spent hours and hours trying to start the car that was advertised to "run and drive" before we finally accepted that we had to have it towed. We live in Sandy, OR and found ourselves stuck in Tigard, OR at 2 am not really wanting to leave the vehicle to get stripped or vandalized. Agreeing to go to a friends in Oregon City and call a towing company we left the vehicle where it was. We called several towing companies and finally got "Gus" from outlaw towing who seemed like an answer to our prayers. He not only said he would swoop us up but tow our vehicle all the way to our home in Sandy, OR for $140. we were so relieved. He came to Oregon City, picked up my husband and then they were on the way to Tigard. About 20 minutes later I get a very shaky call from my hubby that the driver had accused him of attempting to "set him up", pulled a pistol on him, cocked it and kicked him out of the truck leaving him stranded in Tigard with 5% battery on his cell and having left his $140 in the truck. I immediately msgd the driver asking what happened and my husband attempted to explain that "yes" the vehicle was in a very creepy part of the town and there were homeless camps around and it was dark but that is where it was parked when we bought it earlier that day and were unable to move or start the vehicle hence we employed him. He said that my husband was trying to set him up by going there and that he filed a police report. I was completely shocked, scared for my husband and then eventually angry, The driver said that the $140 was nowhere in his truck and that was what we "get" for trying to set up outlaw towing. Well sir, you, are the outlaw. the Portland police saying they can do nothing and now we are going to file a civil suit I just have ONE WARNING DO NOT EMPLOY THIS COMPANY and if you do, do so at your own peril.

If you can't guess from the professionalism displayed previously, I'll clue you in to what happened next. He ghosted me. I even called a 2nd time about an hour later and nobody answered. The towing company I called after did a great job. I won't bother trying with outlaw towing again.
