Highly recommended! They capture the true taste of the Venezuelan arepa. I came with my family and we end up having multiple arepas each.

With that said this place appears it won't disappoint just from the look of the food on the other customers tables. I came late for drinks and appetizers and didn't get a chance to order a main dish, but the appetizer were good. I'll get another chance to try the food before I leave, it's already on my list. Im looking forward to it. Update.... came back and had the food, they get one more star. Living in Miami, home of Little Havana I've eaten some of the best Cuban food outside of Cuba (I've been to Cuba as well shout out to El Aljibe). This place can compete with the best of them.... lastly that tamale was something special....I'll be back again before my trip is over most definitely.

Sorry, it took me a minute to wake up from the food coma i went into just from mentioning what we ate. If visiting downtown Madrid, come hit up this hidden spot. The music, food, and drinks will make you feel at ease and amazing. Salsa music is very old school and it is not fair to only give it 5 stars when it deserves more than that. Thank you, La colonial and their staff. Amazing service.

Founded in 1725, Botín is recognized by Guinness World Records as the oldest operating restaurant in the world, making a meal here feel like a genuine journey through Madrid's history. The restaurant was completely full when we arrived and we did not have a reservation, but the staff went out of their way to accommodate us. That was an especially nice surprise given how busy the restaurant was. We were fortunate to be seated at an outdoor table, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was lively and quintessentially Madrid, and the service throughout the meal was excellent. The staff deserves special recognition--professional, attentive, friendly, and clearly experienced in handling a very busy restaurant while still making guests feel welcome. Of course, part of the magic of Botín is the history. Walking into a restaurant that has been serving guests for nearly three centuries is remarkable, and the traditional atmosphere complements the experience perfectly. Botín is particularly famous for its traditional Castilian cuisine and its wood-fired roasts. Overall, this was much more than simply having a meal--it was experiencing a piece of Madrid's history. Excellent staff, great service, a wonderful outdoor table, and an unforgettable setting. If you are visiting Madrid, Botín is absolutely worth experiencing, especially for the history and atmosphere. Highly recommended...
