One day raccoon capture! My husband Andy called on Thursday evening last week because we discovered we had more than a squirrel problem. We had a raccoon problem - living in our attic. Someone came out to inspect the issue on Friday, and a live trap was scheduled to be set on Tuesday. Noe was boasted as our "raccoon whisperer." Indeed! I would want to be in a trap with the treats the raccoon was being offered! Wednesday morning (today), Noe came by right at 8am to check the trap, and our young raccoon was bedding down in the steel trap after having munched everything down. SCAM COMPANY WITH NO INTEGRITY. This company will NOT let you cancel their services. I called to cancel last week and they said they would have the "cancellation team" call me back. A week later no calls. I call back again at least 5 different times and I get sent to voicemail each time. I call with a different number and they pickup immediately. I tell them I want to cancel and they HANG UP on me. I call back several times with phone #2 and no answer. I call again from phone #3 and they again answer immediately, wow - how crazy. They tried running the same BS as before - they need their ~cancellation team~ to do it and they are somehow always unavailable. I told Rosie I was not getting off the phone until this is finally cancelled. How ridiculous is it that they BLOCK YOUR NUMBER WHEN YOU WANT TO CANCEL and that I needed to use THREE DIFFERENT PHONE NUMBERS to finally cancel my services with Arete. I've had Arete's services since June of 2017. I am now outside of my contract window and do not intend to cancel. My house has been completely bug free since beginning my services, with the exception of your occasional water bug. We had one issue with ants, and a technician was at my home within a couple of days and handled the issue. I did deduct 1 star due to the lack of ability to keep the outside of my home free from ants and flies. Sucks seeing these guys get a bad rap due to people misusing their services. At the time the salesman comes to your house to sell you the service, you are advised that if you still see the bugs after your appointment, call them back and they will come back for free. If they come back three times for the same issue, your payment for the quarter will be refunded. People are giving 1 star reviews after one trip out calling it a scam without giving the company a chance to correct it. This is not a large company and they do good work. 1 star reviews from people who did not give them a chance hurts them. read more

Just horrible. They get you with a low price, and the sales people are very friendly. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for. I have not seen any decrease in the amount of bugs, even through the winter. They left glue traps in the laundry room (which are covered with roaches) 6 months ago and have been back twice and not picked them up. We don't want to touch them, because it's disgusting. Basically, you will get screwed into a year contract, they won't get rid of any bugs, and may leave a sticky piece of paper covered in roaches at your house. If that's what you are in the market for, call them. Otherwise, run. read more

Scheduled for them to come out twice to spray for wasps. The first time they never confirmed the booking after I scheduled through Thumbtack and SPECIFICALLY stated I needed them to spray for wasps. Since they never confirmed I had to make arrangements to take off work again for the 1st "confirmed" appointment. Unfortunately that was 12/8/17 when it snowed so the appointment was rescheduled for today. HOWEVER... the exterminator called during the window time (4-6pm) he was supposed to be here to say (notice my 2nd time taking off work) that they don't have the equipment to spray for wasps! AND we should use Arrow or someone else. Smh. What a waste of time over the last 2weeks! read more

I signed up for services back around August of 2016 and have had nothing less the great service from them. I was having issues with ants in my kitchen and once they sprayed, i haven't seen them any more. I have had a couple bugs show up but usually it's when it's close to my next service. I call and they come right out no extra charge and respray inside or out or both of i choose. Good customer service and the sales associate that came to my house were very nice. read more

The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that this was my first experience with Arete. My first impression however, was excellent! I am very surprised to read the negative reviews. I couldn't have had a more opposite experience. Our technician, Michael was very friendly, courteous, and professional. Both he and the office staff were quite thorough in explaining the service plan and contract. I completely understood and was aware I was signing a contract when I read the terms and clicked to agree, then signed my name. What I have seen is in stark contrast to national pest control companies I have used. I look forward to a fantastic relationship with Arete and am quite pleased with what I have experienced so far. read more

So basically a few weeks ago a door to door sales man from Arête Pest Control came to my home offering pest control service, so I decided to give the service a try, what could it hurt, right? Big mistake. First off, the service is so unprofessional. I mean all they do is spray some liquid in various places around the home. The task is so simple I could do it. I'd be better for me to go to Home Depot or Lowes, buy the chemicals, and spray the home myself. It'd probably be cheaper cause no labor fees and this way I don't have some stranger roaming my home. Even worse is, initially we didn't even really have a pest control problem to begin with. This was meant to act as a deterrent, and yet now there are more insects roaming around then I've seen in years. It's like there visit had the opposite effect then the one intended. So ultimately, we gave it a few weeks, but decided to cancel the service. Not only did they make trying to cancel the service difficult, but on top of everything we just found out there is a 75% early termination fee. 75%! So basically we'd be paying more then 3/4 of the cost of the service for them to do nothing other then leave us alone! No one even thought to mention this highly exorbitant early termination fee when we signed the contract. Now we must remain with the company for one year or we lose more than $200. It feels like we're being held hostage. They hooked us with the lure of cheaper costs and prevention, but don't be fooled, it's a waste of money. read more

You get what you pay for!! The service was not working and I was told to give it time for the pest and flies etc. to go away and it never improved. In order to cancel a service you are then required to pay a hefty fee to cancel a service that they "guarantee results." The worst part is the customer service is the worse of the worse. The way they spoke to me and my sister was deplorable. They hung up the phone on me multiple times, spoke over me and essentially took no accountability for the way they were talking to me. I have to mention that i spoke to multiple staff members who all took up for each others horrible attitude[ I spoke to Harrison, Preston, Dalyn, Tucker and everyone of them was horrible.] They then cancelled the service without my approval and charged my account a large fee and then said it shouldn't be a problem because they reversed it?! it should never have been charged without my authorization. They have friendly employees but their product doesn't work. I have never seen so many bugs in my life and it's driving me crazy! My contract has ended and I called to cancel they said they don't auto renew I hope to God they don't bill me again. Lesson learned it's not worth saving 30 bucks Update- Seth offered a free service call which I accepted. I appreciate the offer and as I said before the customer service was never a problem. From the call center to the techs but honestly we've got more bugs than we've ever seen on our property. My son was bitten in the middle of the night by a spider( I hope) and we have seen some huge spiders attached to the outside of the home. We killed 3 in their webs but I'll see about a pic tomorrow - these things are huge. We did have some jumping spiders inside and I don't dare go into the basement until we get another pest control service. We have cleaned out and dusted every corner of every wall in the entire house there's no containers or anything in any corner anywhere just trying to be proactive - even in the garage. We don't have a lot of clutter anyway but we would do anything to rid our house of spiders. I will admit since the last spray our only problem has been spiders mostly attached to the outside of the home and a few indoors. The few ants we did see are gone and I think those were scouts but I have a heightened fear of spiders bc a friend of mine was bitten by a brown recluse and almost died but lost all his hair for years - no eyelashes no eyebrows but it was nothing bc he still had his life. I don't want to classify ANY spiders I just don't want them in or on my home. So while I do appreciate the offer we're going to go ahead with another company but thank you for trying read more

Never ever!!! came up to our neighbourhood to sell then pest care plan , we were told if we see pests we can call them any number of times. I dont usually worry about small spiders, i have been doing my own pest control for many yrs. when i started seeing spiders around and called them for a re-treatment .. i got a rude response saying "its Georgia pests are everywhere and i am bound to see then around the house". After my contact (fully paid came to a end) then never called me never notified me and did extra treatment invoiced me 75$ bill, which is 1/3 rd the cost of yearly contract . They just hope that instead of payiung 75 you will negotiate and renew the contact for another year. i would give 0 stars if i could. read more
