This review is long over due but here it is…read more My family didn't paint this house for 15 years. The paint peeled and wood rot all over. It is a big headache just thinking about remodeling. It is not just about money but finding the right contractor who would do quality work and not take our money and run. Cost is also a big concern since our house is huge and very high. I am in charge of finding the super hero to fix this gigantic mess. First, I called about 8 companies via Yelp to come and give me estimates. Some companies said my house is too big and tall so refused to do it. Some companies said it will take 3 months. Some companies wanted to charge me $100,000. Some companies unwilling to fix the rot wood. Some companies needed to rent scaffolds and hydraulic lift since the house is too high. Hydraulic lift is supposed to cost over $2,000. Yikes! I had about 2 weeks to get project done because fire insurance company threatened to cancel our policy if we don't fix up the house. I interviewed about 8 companies and found one perfect company: FD Painting. Why is FD Painting so excellent and won my heart? 1. They have contractor license and I insurance. 2. They were willing to fix all the rot wood. 3. Tino is also friendly and accommodating to different things I pointed out need fixing. 4. Their price is reasonable. The crew showed up to work everyday on time. 5. Their craftsmanship is also excellent. 6. They finished the entire project in 10 days (4 days ahead of schedule)!!! Hooray!!! 7. They didn't need scaffolds or hydraulic lift. 8. I didn't need to watch them while they worked. 9. They cleaned up well after the project. 10. They were honest and trustworthy. Priceless. They did not have a huge number of reviews, but every review I saw was 5 stars. I am not someone who judges a company just by the number of reviews. I care more about the quality of work they provide, and that clearly stood out to me. I reached out through Yelp and sent over pictures of the house, and Juan was able to get me a quote the very same day. I was also comparing estimates from another well-known local company, but Juan's quote was more competitive. Juan's two-man team showed up promptly at 7:30 a.m. on Monday and every day after that, like clockwork. They patched cracks, gaps, and holes, and took the time to properly prep the house before painting. Juan originally estimated the job would take 6 to 7 days, and it ended up taking 8, but that was only because rain delayed progress for one day. It was absolutely worth the extra time. The team was meticulous with the details and made sure everything was done to my liking before wrapping up the job. They even swapped out my old exterior light fixtures with new ones I had purchased, which I really appreciated. His quote was very reasonable, which led me to select him over others. I truly believe that the quality of Serafin's work far exceeds what he is charging. He informed me that he has been a painter for 30+ years in different capacities, and as a satisfied customer, I can tell you that his expertise and experience really show in the final product. He was a complete professional throughout the process from our first meeting to the end. He was on time and worked exceedingly hard (12 hour days) to finish on my schedule.
