I was so pleasantly surprised by all the equipment. First of all there is more than one pool and I have only been at the north pool. It's a lovely pool up to 5 ft, no diving, but beautiful landscape and plenty of tables and chairs and recliners. There is also a little "splash town" that I like to call it where there are these huge rings you can run through with sprinklers on you and also these water sprouts that comeup from the ground that are tons of fun for my 14 month old twin grandsons. Clean and fun. There is also a gym that seems to have the most popular equipment and they are in the process of giving it a "facelift". There is a great play area outside of the pool area and gym that is great fun for the kids. It's new and they had a grand opening and passed out refreshments and had a balloon lady and everything. I'm looking forward to the next few years being here. Great amenities and great people to be around.

He's unable to tell anyone, could hardly get out of the van when he got to his group home. He doesn't complain so I am doing this on his behalf. What's the point of having staff attend to people when they're suppose to help them while knowing a camper is disabled, but don't do anything once they're injured ??? My son had visible injury to his foot when he arrived to his home. The lady who drives him was stunned that Camp Summit staff said NOTHING to her.

They did not call to notify us she was injured. Instead she sat in pain until normal pick up time for us to get her. At pick up they placed her in the car and buckled her so I could not see her arm, but they assured me it was just a bump, "it's not broken or anything." When I got her out of the car her arm was obviously misshapen and I knew right away it was broken. We emailed the director several times asking only that they provide better training to their staff. None of our emails were answered. I would not trust these people with children's safety.

The first time we came last year, they gave me the shortest horse because I was the shortest rider there! I rode Ziggy, and I was already attached. He's so cute-- I am a big David Bowie fan, so I have nicknamed him,"Mr. Stardust" LOL The first time we came, it had been some years since I had ridden a horse, and the same for the boyfriend. We did the easy walking trail ride-- this year we did the intermediate trotting trail and I asked to ride Ziggy again-- what can I say, I love him.. Although we were initially nervous for reservation cancellations due to the rain and being pushed back a day, they still had great communication as to whether or not we'd be able to have our trail ride. The respond via text message-- so be aware that if you call, they might not answer. The only time they DO call is when you're booking the reservation. It had been raining on and off and so they said the first time they were checking our specific trail, was when we were actually on it. We didn't get to trot as much as I wanted, but it was a little squishy in some areas. The staff is friendly and even take your photo at the end! My thing is that it is very hard to hear them talk when you're on the trail ride. It would be beneficial for them to carry a microphone or something.

Miss Marilynn,the principal, and Alice the VP are so compassionate and genuinely take the time to know every child and family, which really makes you feel like family. The infant room teachers--Dani, Danniette, Farzaneh, Yasmin, and Lexi--are all amazing. I 100% trust they are caring for our baby like one of their own! I am actually sad to be moving to the next room soon, however I am sure the new teachers will be just as great. I'm now regularly taking part in playdays (amateur barrel racing and pole bending) and even won a buckle last season! Dwaine has been around horses all his life, and it shows. He's incredibly patient and encouraging with his students and knows when they need to be pushed to improve. More than a few of his students have gone to become professionals, competing in rodeos. They learn not just the basics of how to ride, but also grooming, saddling and overall horsemanship. There's probably no better testimony, though, than the community of kids and parents that have formed around the stables, with plenty of friendships formed that extend past lesson time.
