Unbelievably disappointed in this high end brand. I ordered a couch that said 12 week delivery. 4 months came and I had to leave message after message to get an actual human to tell me it's will be another 8 weeks. About two weeks ago I got the call I have been trying to patiently wait for. The couch is set to arrive and a delivery company will call me. I get the call and my delivery is set for following Wednesday (tomorrow). I coordinate the removal of my old furniture with a donation to a veterans house that picked it up this morning. THEN I get a call from the delivery company that the Arhaus truck broke down a few days ago so it hasn't left Ohio so the couch won't be here till next week since it is a holiday weekend! I know it's a holiday weekend because I am having guests and nowhere for them to sit since you confirmed my delivery TOMORROW. Of course I can't get ahold of Customer Serice they just send emails from "no reply" addresses. I am so utterly speechless with the lack of service. read more

I do not usually leave reviews but I cannot let the outstanding customer service I received go unnoticed. When I first made my purchase I was helped by Chris( now manager ). Boy was he patient and very accommodating. When my husband and I go shopping together we need patience. Chris was not too pushy and he helped us make decisions on things we could not agree on. On my subsequent purchases I was blessed to meet Denise. She is a fashionista! Her honesty allowed me to improve the look of my home. It's interesting to me to note that all the positive reviews for this place do not seem to be written by people who actually purchased custom furniture from Arhaus. Unfortunately for me, I did. This review is only for customer service and the ethics of the salespeople and not the pieces I ordered in January, which will not be delivered until May, if ever. Yes, you read that correctly. What is so annoying is that the very pleasant young woman - Emilee - who helped us out, very emphatically told us many times that it was 7 weeks, 8 weeks tops for our order. Seven weeks later, we called and spoke to the manager, Ryan, who insisted that no one should have told us 7 weeks because it is always 8 to 12 weeks. He was very apologetic, but told us our furniture would not arrive in the local warehouse until the first week of April, or basically today since it is six days into April. We call again and this time are informed, oh no, it's never 8 -12 weeks, it's 12 - 16 weeks and with some luck our furniture will make it to Cleveland by April 10th, and then arrive in California three weeks later, putting us into May. Now, my guests this weekend will understand that we are lacking chairs, that's not a huge deal, but all this lying really, really bothers me. Which salesperson is telling us the truth? Maybe none of them are and we will never actually see our furniture or our nearly four thousand dollars again (despite assurances from the Corporate office, I'm not feeling too confident). It's a real shame, because I loved the look of everything in the store. But I can't see myself ever patronizing Arhaus again. And all of this badwill could have been avoided if they had simply been upfront about a three to four month timeline. I guess they were worried that we wouldn't buy if we knew we had to wait so long, but it seems bad business practice to mislead us for the sake of one small sale. Wouldn't they want us to have a good experience and come back and buy more, and tell all our friends how great Arhaus is? Very puzzling. And incidentally, while we were picking material, the salespeople began randomly disparaging the store across the way, Z Gallerie, because it's so "tacky". I find it very uncool that they would trash a store which isn't even a competitor. I wonder what they said about me after I left, wearing my cheap Levis and clunky New Balance shoes, and made my way to Z Gallerie, to peruse all that "shiny 80s crap" that a "five year old" would want. read more

My husband and I are thrilled with our new Arhaus furniture. Austin Wood is absolutely the best sales rep. He was helpful and accommodating in every way. We were renovating our house and had to schedule delivery within a specific window. Austin was able to meet our every need....he helped us match fabrics and colors. We ended up buying the Brentwood Sectional, the Rio Dining Room Table and 6 upholstered chairs, a gorgeous hand-knotted rug, and the entire Russell bedroom set for our master bedroom. We love the look and the quality. Compared to less positive experiences that we have had with similar furniture companies, Arhaus has been amazing all the way. I have read some negative reviews and I am a bit puzzled...our Rio table was delivered with a small imperfection on one of the legs. The deliverymen immediately called the company and they insisted on replacing the entire table! We love Arhaus!!! read more

The furniture here is amazing. Everything has that restored vintage look similar Restoration Hardware in DTLB. One of kind pieces like industrial coffee tables , chairs, and fixtures. I only wish my bank account had a few more commas so I could buy more than just a napkin ring. The store layout is like a maze that zigs and zags this way and that way. Make sure you know their policy for returns. After spending quite a lot of money for a rug, although one sales manager excepted to exchange the rug for another one, the store manager was adamant not to do anything about it telling us their return policy was 2 weeks for rugs. Now, unfortunately we are stuck with a rug where the threads keep pulled each time we vacuum it. (Store manager told us eventually it will go away but because it's a woven rug unfortunately I don't believe that it will be the case) We do have a little baby and naturally the rug needs to be kept clean... We certainly believe that a reputable and a big company like Arhaus could have done something about it.. read more

I went to the store to check out a mechanical sectional that was on their website. Unfortunately, the store did not carry this specific couch but Cheryl was very helpful in trying to give me as much information and finding the most similar couch in the store for me to sit on in addition to speaking with another store who could provide more specifics. After shopping around for a few days, I decided to purchase the sectional from Arhaus and was surprised on how quickly the sectional was delivered. The delivery team arrived 20 minutes earlier than promised and were very professional. This was my first purchase with Arhaus and after reading reviews online, I was skeptical but the entire process was fantastic and the communication with Arhaus was seamless. The sectional is great and I am pleased with the purchase. read more

I went in on Sunday to see if I could find a bookshelf that I saw online. I found it in the store with the Austin's help. I wanted to see what it looked like before actually making the purchase. Honestly, I planned on purchasing it online, but with Austin's great, helping hand I ended up purchasing the bookshelf from the store location. Austin was a tremendous help. He seemed to have a really good eye and understanding of interior design. I showed him a picture of my living room, and he knew right away why I was purchasing that particular bookshelf and placing in the intended location. It was like he was reading my mind. Honestly, I was impressed. This is the second piece of furniture that I've purchased from Arhaus. The first was a coffee table that I purchased online about a month ago. It arrived according to schedule and looks awesome in my living room. I'm looking forward to the bookshelf arrival. I was even surprised that Arhaus sells books from their store displays. With the bookshelf that I purchased, I'm wanting to stock it with older books -- distressed:) I shared that, too, with Austin, and he indicated he would help me out. So, I definitely recommend checking out Arhaus. If you hit up the Torrance store, look for Austin. He was extremely helpful, kind, and personable. It's also a beautiful store. Terrible customer service. If you are online shopping - BEWARE. They are not set up for e-commerce business. The items listed do not describe the color of the furniture. You get a picture of the furniture on your computer screen and you are relying on your personal monitor's display. For example, I purchased what I thought was a white dresser. I received it and it is extremely Ivory to the point it's almost yellow-ish. I called the Arhuas and they refused to acknowledge the color is not white. One of the associates on the phone pulled up the description of the furniture and read it to me over the phone (after the dresser was already delivered) - the description was "Coconut Cream" - this was not on the website and she didn't want to repeat the color again over the phone. They refused again to acknowledge that it's not white and insisted on charging me a 10% re-stocking fee. I'm out over $500 now. Don't shop here even if you know the color. They don't care about their customers or their reputation. read more

I must say I was very skeptical to purchase here just based on the previous reviews. However, I'm glad to say the total experience I had here was amazing. I met with this lovely sales associate Denise who was amazing at helping me furnish my new place. After I told her about the negative reviews, she introduced me to their new store manager Chris and might I say he was AMAZING at comforting me about my purchase. He did acknowledge their rocky start with delivery but assured me the company had invested millions in correcting this problem. I had initial only planned on purchasing a sectional but let outfitting my entire living space and bedroom space. And the delivery process went swell with all of my pieces arriving before they said. I must say if you're looking for some good quality furniture that looks and feels amazing, I would highly recommend this place :) read more

Fake price offered in sales call. Treated with discrimination in store. As a customer who visited the store 3/18/2018, I received a call on 3/31/2018 from a man claimed himself to be the manager of Arhaus, Torrance store. Stated that he was following up on a bed I was looking for, and they are offering huge discount for 1799$ for the cal king size bed. After I said I'm not in town, he offered that he will keep the price for 30 days, and I can come back anytime with the low price guaranteed. I double checked with him if it was the cal king size bed, and the texture I wanted, he confirmed with me and said any texture is the same price. I was very surprised about the price, but he confirmed that's because they are having a promotion. On 4/22/2018, I visited the store trying to buy the bed, however, the manager did not admit that he had called me and did not recall such conversation has ever happened. I recommend him to look into theCRM system, since stores like Arhaus usually keep a record of follow up information in the system, and he said there were no customer information found under my name, even for lead generation paper, he said he can't find a paper where all my personal information were filled out on the day of visit on 3/18/208. After the involvement of a regional manager, things got worse, he kept interrupting my conversation with a rude tone and his chin up, looking down at me with arrogance. As a Asian woman, who speak influent English, I have never got a chance to explain my experience of receiving a phone call from Arhaus about a product I've looking at in store. The regional manager spent no time investigating in the situation, showed no intend of clarifying the problem, but only refused to let me speak, refused to give me his name, and refused to offer any service to me, my experience with Arhaus ended up with his calling mall security and I was expelled from the store. I was informed that I'm not the only one who is experiencing this kind of situation, and the mall guard gave me advice and two phone numbers to file a complaint with Arhaus corporate and mall department that is doing customer complaint service. I, a customer, come into Arhaus with trust, driving 1.5 hours from Orange County, only because I feel valued as a customer since the store manager called me in person and informed me with price change and a 30 days price guarantee. I appreciate his effort on my case and understand he want my businesses. However, as a 26 year old Asian girl, left with tears and fear. I do not understand what happened, why this happened. And I feel deeply hurt by the rude behavior of the regional manager who even refused to give me his name. Yes, I can not speak good English, and I can not express myself well, yet I still have the right to speak for myself and explain what I had been told over the call happened on 3/31/2018. Arhaus, you win my trust when you want to win my business, but cheating a customer with fake price and dishonesty is the worst trick you wanna do as a brand. Only if you can expel all the customer whenever an problem happens. I'm helpless, would be happy to fight our right with any other consumers experiencing same problem with Arhaus. Do NOT do business with this company. I ordered furniture online and it has been nothing short of a nightmare. The delivery was 6 weeks out which is far too long for a retail furniture purchase so I asked to cancel and was told it would be processed. I never received an email so I called. Again. And was advised I'd be charged a 10% restocking fee bc my shipment was loaded on their truck. That was 11 days ago and still no return has been processed for the $3k order. I then emailed the store about ordering and having shipping there to avoid dealing with the incompetent concierge. One person replied to my email saying absolutely. So I called the store to have a snappy woman explain that the shipments come every two weeks and she can't say when my dresser would come but she'll take my order. What on earth is wrong with you people. The furniture is lovely. But trying to order is absolutely absurd. I will never step foot in or do business with any Arhaus ever again. read more

Apparently the only way to get a response from Arhaus is to write your review about how disappointed you are. We bought over $30k in furniture last year for our home. After about half of it that needed to be returned and exchanged over a number of months and terrible service from the manager, we just hoped we would not have to deal with them again. Now our crank on our crank desk breaks! I call them, they tell me I have talk to the "concierge" call a different number. Called the concierge - she asks me to send pictures and they will get right on it! Optimism?? Nope - 4 emails and no reply's later and no fix! I have never written a review in my life because I have empathy for people that work in customer service. But this is a huge culture issue at Arhaus, they need to fix it as a company. It's in the stores, managers, across the company and in the warehouses apparently, because they have so much damaged furniture. Their kind people that work in the stores have loss their morale dealing with it. Oh - and I would appreciate getting my desk fixed. read more

We came across Arhaus' furniture store in Danbury, CT. during a summer vacation last year. Very impressed with the quality of their merchandise--North Carolina production pipeline--and was told they would be expanding in So Cal closer to where we lived during the next twelve months. They directed us to their catalog and online site in addition to placing us on their mailing list up until today. It turns out that they opened a store in The Oaks Mall in Thousand Oaks earlier than we expected in conjunction with a friends and family coupon that brought us in to focus on some much needed furniture items yesterday. The store is beautiful, and the staff extremely helpful, friendly, but not pushy, thank God. Associates were very low key, and unassuming but extremely friendly and available for any questions we had. We were assisted by a sales associate, Natalie, who worked as a consultant with my wife since we had brought pictures and measurements in advance. She was extremely professional, and looked out for our budget in ways to maximize value from various internal promotions that worked out better than the coupon we had brought with us with respect to cost savings. Interestingly, we have experience with Ethan Allen over time while seeking highest, best of breed quality at a fair price--harder to do at Ethan Allen with respect to price by itself-and I would say that Arhaus is heading in the right direction, but is certainly one of the better quality furniture stores we have encountered locally in a very long time. Price is what you pay, value is what you get, so we are extremely satisfied with the quality of leathers and wood purchased at their store. We look forward to working with ArHaus on the next room soon to be refurnished. read more

We ordered a sectional sofa and leather ottoman on Jan 4, 2019. Since it is custom made in No. Carolina, we were told it would be ready in March. It was delivered on March 2 and set up . It is everything we expected and more. Leslie our salesperson kept us updated and concierge followed up to make sure everything was good. The service and quality of Arhaus is first class.We would highly recommend them to anyone considering a quality furniture purchase. read more

I almost never write reviews, but this company has been such a frustrating and bad experience, I would like to warn others. I have purchased several items through this store, and none have gone smoothly. 50% of the items I have had delivered have been damaged before I got them. They are horrible and unhelpful when trying to get damaged items replaced. They have never once given me correct information (on shipping, in stock items, the list goes on) and I have sat on hold (over a half an hour) on their help line half a dozen times and wasted hours of my time just trying to get non-damaged products. I have no doubt that the hold time is so long because everyone is having issues with their products and service. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND PURCHASING FROM A DIFFERENT COMPANY. If you want high quality products and service, this is not the place. I have had other companies mess up orders, such as birchlane and overstock, but at least they try to fix the problem and compensate you if it is their mistake and a huge inconvenience. read more

OMG! I cannot believe what a nightmare it has been working with these people. I ordered a credenza to be delivered. I have set up no less than 6 deliveries all of which have been a failure. I have reorganized my schedule to accommodate them and then at the last minute (3 times) they tell me the piece is damaged. The next time, the piece actually made it here, but the delivery service said it was to heavy for two men to carry in. Back it goes. The following delivery gets cancelled due to a damaged piece, then miraculously they've received a new piece and it will be delivered in 3 days time. The piece came and it was damaged. Now all the items from my old hutch have been sitting on the floor in my living room for weeks. So I beg them to temporarily leave the damaged piece. No off it goes. (By the way, this piece was carried in by two men) Finally, a new piece arrives. The service brings it into the house. Before they leave we notice a huge scratch down the side, which someone tried to cover up. This time they leave the credenza with a promise to bring yet another new piece. Well that finally arrives damaged too. My patience is running thin, as is my boyfriend's. He tells me to suggest they give us a rebate and we keep the damaged piece. So the manager agrees. He has my credit card and he will post it. Nothing! I call him repeatedly (he gave me his cell). By the way, even after all of our conversations, he never remembers who I am. I live in Oceanside! How many customers does he have in Torrance, from Oceanside? After I remind him who I am, yet again, he presumably tries to credit me and he says the computer won't let him since they've ordered a new one for me again! Then he says, he can straighten out. I give him my credit card and he tells me it has to go through corporate. He will send them an email and cc me on it. Nothing!! Beware of the company. This credenza was nearly $2K. We had an exceptional experience at Arhaus recently. We purchased a number of expensive pieces of furniture, including a buffet that we had intended to use as a dresser. Although the piece was beautiful, it was just too small in our guest room when it was delivered. We saw another dresser that was a better fit, but by then the return period was already over. I called our sales rep, Austin, to see what we could do, but didn't really expect anything could be done. Instead, Austin helped me return the older dresser for the new one, arranged for the delivery and pickup, and did not charge me the additional charges like restocking fee or delivery fee. The past due return date was not even an issue. Plus all this was done over the phone! Austin definitely went beyond a normal salesperson duty and provided truly exceptional customer service to ensure we will be loyal customers to Arhaus. We are so happy with the new dresser! Do not shop at this store. Bought dining room table & 8 chairs on 12/31/15 so that I would have it in time for my daughter's wedding 5/7/16. Waited till February to receive table/chairs. Only received 6 of 8 chairs and the table was broken. 2 of the chairs I did received looked liked someone just sawed off the legs crooked and were wobbly. They delivered on Super Bowl Sunday so customer service was not open. Delivery team did not know what to do. I kept table at urging of Austin from the store. They sent out a repairman who sprayed WD40 all over the bottom of the table and ultimately told me the table was defective. Ryan, the store manager, advised that they would get me another table and my other 2 chairs. Had to wait for table 2 from Ohio again. Received table in March. New table broken also. Same problem. Did get my additional 2 chairs and replacement chairs for the 2 wobbly ones. Had to wait for table 3 but they assured me they would test it before it left Ohio. Got table 3 early April. Surprise it's broken too!! Went to store and talked to Ryan who came out to my house to look at table. He advises he knows exactly what the problem is. Says he will order parts and fix it for me. Orders parts comes back a couple of weeks with parts. Has wrong tools cannot fix. He says he'll let me know the next step. Didn't hear from him again. Got a call advising that they would be picking up table to get it repaired the next day. Waited for table to be picked up and two weeks pass -- nothing. Ryan lost the parts. Had to order new parts. My daughter's wedding comes and goes and my house full of guests has no table to eat at thanks to Arhaus & the store manager Ryan. May 12th I finally give up. I asked Ryan to have the chairs picked up and I would like a refund of my $$ that they have had since December. They picked up the chairs on May 16th I called Ryan to ask when I wou,d recieve credit. He says not till they re-inventory the chairs or some bs. I called Wednesday to find out about credit same bs story. I called Thursday and he assures me that he will call me Friday morning. Noon Friday I haven't heard so I call -- surprise Ryan is on VACATION. Austin says he will help but he doesn't know what Ryan did or didn't do and he doesn't know how to do it. Tries to find someone to help him figure it out. Says he will cal me Sunday. No call. What kind iof store manager goes on vacation and just leaves me hanging. A very poor one. I just spent an hour on the phone with their customer service to find out when I will receive the credit on my credit card that I actually paid off months ago and they can't seem to figure out what the store has done. Waiting for a call back from customer service. Bottom line is the furniture looks very nice. A little pricey. Terrible quality. Was told the table I bought is their most popular one and they haven't had any issues with it. Guess I'm just lucky to get 3 broken ones!! Austin our salesperson did try to help, although, I felt at times he was feeding me lines. Ryan I thought was going to be the bright spot but turned out to be a total failure. Don't understand how he is the store manager. I should have read Yelp reviews before I purchased. If I don't hear something today from their customer service about my credit I guess I will have to dispute with my credit card company. I wish I didn't have to give them 1 star but I will chalk that up to their delivery teams. They were all very professional and nice. It will be interesting to see how long the store lasts! read more

Wow - I was surprised to see a couple negative reviews - as my experience was nothing less than exemplary with this company - and the Torrance location - I was not familiar with this company - and was lured in by one of their furniture catalogs - I must say, this is truly a beautiful store with an extensive selection of quality, well-made product - As an interior designer in Los Angeles, I'm familiar with many, many furniture stores - this store is comparable to a much more refined Pottery Barn - even up there with the cache of Restoration Hardware, but affordable! And to be honest, they are even a bit more design savvy with their eclectic inventory of styles - Urban/Farmhouse Chic, Industrial, to Vintage Classic - all under one roof! Austin Wood was also my sales rep, and he was superb - professional, courteous, extremely knowledgeable about the product, and was able to meet my client's move in date for promised delivery of items. It is unfortunate that in some of the other reviews, that unforeseen production delays or accidental damages in freight can tarnish a store's credibility with their quoted lead times - this has happened to me on several occasions over my career, with several different credible companies - please don't let it sway you away from checking out this store and experiencing their unique brand of product, design and comfort. In reading the reviews for Arhaus I really should have believed them. When I walked into the store I couldn't help myself and ordered numerous pieces, custom covered chairs, custom bed, full room of office furniture and some lamps. I dealt with a wonderful saleswoman (who sadly has left the store) who I felt very comfortable with. Well, here we go....we were supposed to receive all the furniture yesterday, which has been paid in full and all items have been in stock. NOPE. They apparently left the warehouse in Ohio on the 13th and I won't be receiving them until maybe mid December. Did I mention I ordered a bed? We have to be out of our rental at the end of November, I guess sleeping bags are in order, oh wait I didn't order any! The customer service has passed me around like a time bomb, they want nothing to do with me. I even called the corporate office....crickets. It's a shame as I was so excited, now I'm just mad and worried as some reviewers have written about quality issues. They have offered me some compensation in return, that's nice but you know what I would prefer MY FURNITURE. Here's an idea get another truck get my furniture on it and deliver it. It ain't brain surgery here people. So finally in closing don't be a fool like I have been to order anything from this company. I absolutely love Arhaus! There isn't another furniture store like this. No other store can compare if you're looking for very unique, high quality, superb designs that cannot be found elsewhere. The customer service is excellent. I needed help designing my living and dining room, and the Arhaus Team worked together to make my dream living room and dining room come true. I worked with their incredibly talented interior designer, Doris Hiegel, who came to my home on a weekend for measurements and created a beautiful design plan at no cost to me. Yes, it doesn't cost you anything for their design service and they don't pressure you into buying anything. Doris Hiegel is a very experienced designer with incredible taste. I have a French Normandy style home, and I absolutely love the design and pieces that were recommended from Arhaus. Some of the furnitures are custom-made in Italy, so expect to wait a few months for delivery. Be patient. It will be worth! Yael Kozar is the design consultant who was so wonderful in organizing the sales order, and she delivered excellent customer service. I'm a huge fan of this store and very excited for the arrival of my beautiful custom-made furnitures. Thank you to the Arhaus team for such personable customer service. I'm a fan! read more

TERRIBLE service at this location. Came here shopping for my new house with my partner. Upon entering, not greeted at all or asked if I needed help. Went looking around by ourselves, tested out some of the furniture, and had a list of things I wanted to buy. While sitting in one of the chairs, a sales associate approached us (for recognitions sake, about in her late 70s with heavy dark eye makeup). She told us, "these chairs are not for lounging. We are a place of business." It was obvious she was discriminating against me and my partner for being young. We told her that we were shopping, and simply testing the chair to see if we liked it. She told us that she did not have time to entertain us. I am extremely disappointed at how rude and obnoxious the sales associate was being. On top of that, much of the furniture in the store was filthy; one engraved cocktail shaker had visible grime embedded in the engravement. I am extremely offended and disappointed at this store overall. Will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I purchased my 3 piece sectional sofa just before Christmas because i was told by the sales person "it was in stock and would be shipped in 7 days from their Ohio warehouse". The Ohio warehouse apparently ships to a local Los Angeles warehouse and then shipped to the customer for local delivery. All ok, I knew I wouldn't get by Christmas but should have received on or around the 27th or so which was fine. 7 days came and went so that I called to follow-up. When calling what you believe to be the local store, you are actually routed to a "concierge" in Ohio. The concierge says that one piece was missing from my order so that NOTHING had been shipped. Arhaus did not contact me to notify me that they had missed their deadline and ask (at a minimum) if i wanted at least the two pieces in stock shipped I told them to ship the two and they said that the 3rd piece would be ready in 7 days. This is all taking place over Christmas break and we had no furniture in our family room. We had got a big screen TV for Christmas and were looking forward to watching the bowl games sitting comfortably around it. Instead, we are sitting in lawn chairs. So disappointing. Long story short, I was able to get in touch with the local store and was assured by my sales person that he would personally look into this and the make sure that the latest ship date which was supposed to be Dec 30 would happen and the second shipment from their local warehouse would happen ASAP. Its Jan 2 and since I hadn't heard anything, I thought I had better follow-up. Again I was routed to the Ohio concierge (and I use the term concierge loosely) who advises me that that "2 pieces" remain in their Ohio warehouse and have not been shipped. She makes no mention of the missing 3rd piece (Arhaus needs to train their concierges' better so that they know how to service an order) so I ask her about that piece as well. I was told the 3rd piece was still on backorder and would not be available for another 2 weeks - just ridiculous! I then ask to be routed to the Torrance store so that I can speak to someone locally. I was told the store manager was away but would be calling back in 30 mins (it's now going on a couple of hours so that I will have to make still yet another call). I'll update this post to advise what happened after this latest call. What a shame, waste of time, and just so disappointing. Arhaus for future reference, (1) do not say you have something in stock when you clearly do not. (2) follow-up with your orders. Don't try to turn this around and blame your Ohio office. You made the sale, you should honor the terms (which includes item being in stock and follow thru on ship dates). This is why we buy locally and not over the internet. read more
