Beautiful furniture that is built well, but high prices for a new cover. It shouldn't cost more thsn a new chair for the new cover.

DON'T BUY IT!!! They charge outrageous price for their fabric and don't stand behind their product. We purchased an ottoman, 4 pillows and 4 yards of fabric. Fabric started pilling excessively before 6 months of use. We brought one of the pillows back to their store in Manhattan Beach to show what was happening. They kept the pillow and after several weeks their store manager called saying they agreed to redo the items. Once we picked the replacement fabric Quatrine came up with several invoices charging $500 per pillow and didn't even include the appropriate credit for what we had already paid. We asked them to take the furniture back and they refused it. Something so simple to solve ended up into a nightmare. read more

This is a business that has not improved over the years. Between my mother and me we have purchased 4 sofas, 4 chairs, 2 ottomans and a desk. We have refreshed our slip covers, restuffed cushions all with satisfaction until sofa 4 was purchased 3 years ago. This morning as I fluffed the back cushions I once again thought how poorly made & fitted they are. The sofa is a complete disaster and if not for the ridiculous cost it would be gone! Given away or picked up by Salvation Army. Frankly I will never buy another piece from Quatrine. I was not happy with my sales experience and would not have pursued the purchase had I not been so completely pleased with my previous purchase. No follow up on this one. When I visited their new location I was met with blank stares when I voiced my disappointment. Clearly not interested. Too bad. You lost a good customer. read more

Our beautiful handmade chair and 1/2 arrived recently replacing the original, and well-loved, 25 year old piece that was severely damaged by water. We can't begin to speak highly enough about the quality of Quatrine couches. 20 years ago we purchased our first two sofas and they have held Up amazingly! We just received our beautiful new sectional on Saturday and we love it!! We also had a new slipcover made for one of the 20 year old Quatrine couches snd it looks as good as new!! The other old couch was handed down to our son whom I know will enjoy it still for many years to come! It is nice to know that some things are still built to last! Quatrine's quality is something to brag about! We live in Ventura and traveled down to the Manhattan Beach store to pick out our new sectional and fabrics. I've been a loyal customer of Quatrine for 20 years. Why? Because that is how long the first 3 sofas I purchased from them lasted. Actually, I still have them (2 in storage and 1 now lives with my in-laws). The slipcovers are both beautiful and durable and there is nothing quite like having the ability to take them and throw them in the washer/dryer without thought. They have survived 2 boys, dirt, wine and blood! The furniture is simply the best quality I've found anywhere. Recently I purchased 2 brand new Quatrine sofas (same that I had before, but 6" longer). Additionally, I had Quatrine make new cushions and slipcovers for some old but loved PB chairs. They all are AMAZING! So comfortable and I could not be happier with all 4 pieces. My family room feels brand new and so cozy. I love the California beach vibe. Cristine at the Manhattan Beach store was super helpful and the entire staff was a pleasure to deal with. read more

Buyer, beware! I have been a loyal customer of Quatrine for over 20 years. Over that time I have purchased eight pieces of furniture, multiple slipcovers and several thousand dollars worth of pillows. I recently had new slip covers made for one of my sofas. When I first got them back there were issues with the piping on both the pillows and the seat cushion covers not being made to fabric specifications. Because it was clearly written in my contract, they did correct those issues. However when I finally received the seat cushion covers they were at least 3 inches too large. I have gone back-and-forth with them, sent measurements,sent multiple pictures, as well as bringing the actual old versus new seat cushions into the store. They have refused to correct the problem. In fact, they are charging me additional money for the labor to correct their problem. I feel like my hands are tied in getting a resolution. I have been without my living room furniture for weeks. I did tell them that this will be the last money they ever see from me. They don't seem to care! read more

20 years ago we bought a sofa, oversized chair and ottoman from Quatrine. About 5 years ago we replaced the inserts and the furniture was like brand new. The slip covers were in perfect condition and I thought we would never have to replace it. Then we had a sewage backup in our media room and it was all destroyed. Without a skipping a beat I went back to Quatrine in Manhattan Beach and began the creative journey, expertly guided by Paige, to not only replace what we had but decided at the same time to add some pieces to our bedroom as well. It was the middle of COVID, we were out of our house and my overall stress level was high. Paige was patient and incredibly helpful with layout, lots of detailed choices as I chose 7 fabrics for one room and 4 for another. Flanges, banding, pillow sizes, sofa and chair sizes so many decisions. Paige even did space plans for us to help with layout and sizing. And when we discovered that we had a delivery challenge due to narrow passageways and difficult corners, she and Raul came up with a solution. We are beyond thrilled with our new rooms. Our new Grace chairs in particular, with fabrics Paige recommended are absolutely gorgeous. The quality and design as well as all the service was fantastic. I've been buying furniture from Quatrine for years, soon after they opened in downtown Manhattan Beach. Bought my first sofa from Gina when moving to SF and have purchased several other pieces since. The showroom is beautiful and inspiring. The quality of the furniture is amazing and the designers are super helpful in deciding on the right pieces/fabrics for your custom pieces. Talented, friendly and patient - all essential when buying a high end piece of furniture that will be a centerpiece in the room. I recently went into Quatrine and I was greeted with a look up and nothing. I was told that the owner works there. I guess she wasn't there that day. I would hope that the owner of the company would want me shopping there and would have had some dialogue with me. I have heard good and bad things about the furniture. My friend told me to ask for a certain person. I don't think she works there any longer. They told me you can't miss her she always has a smile on her face. Again there was nobody there smiling. I don't know about the quality of the furniture but the customer service was bad. I bought a new sectional from Restoration Hardware and I am very happy. The staff was knowledgeable and the particular manager that we worked with had very good eye for design. I purchased two sofas for a different location that has closed. I contacted this store and had a wonderful response from the manager. Went in to look at fabrics and the woman working that day could not be bothered to help me and sighed audibly when I asked to see fabrics. Even questioned why I was there if I hadn't made a purchase. I don't understand how anyone would purchase anything from her if that's her attitude. Find a different store. No one should be made to feel bad for wanting to buy something from a store. Instead of getting a new slip cover we will buy a new sofa from somewhere else read more
