I recently got my haircut by Sue and she suggested that I try balayage. I decided to give it a try and made an appt. Sue is very detailed and easy to talk to. I got caramel balayage and it looked good. But after a few hours at home, I decided that the color was too light for me so I contacted Sue and she responded right away and scheduled me to come back today. I got a darker toner and love it! The good . Open on Sundays. It was clean. The lady was pleasant. . Everything else was disappointing. Took my daughter in for a hair cut. We are new to the area and booked this place based on reviews. She's got long layers and was hoping for a good trim. She got her hair trimmed but there was no effort to do a proper blow out. She told my daughter the product she put in works best when it air dries. In other words , she didn't want to spend the extra ten minutes to do the blow out. I'm writing this a little late or maybe right on time! After years of box dying my hair dark, I went to Sue (in March so about 5 months ago) to get balayage and a cut and I'll admit I was a little shocked coming out of the salon! But it was only because I didn't recognize myself. I asked her to try and lift my hair to basically blonde and she did a pretty great job. She told me I wouldn't have to come back for 8 months and I didn't believe her but here I am 5 months out and it's growing out very nicely. I also asked her to just cut my hair blunt and there was no trying to convince me of layers or anything which tends to happen to me and then I'm mad (this is on me of course but nice that she made it easier!). I was referred to Sue by a good friend who spoke very highly of Sue. Each time I see a new hair stylist, I always bring a picture of what I want and each time the stylist says "yes, I can do that." Guess what -- never does it look anywhere near the picture. After Sue looked at the picture, she said, "I can't really do that as your hair is a different tecture." That was a surprise (and I appreciated her honesty)! Sue then went on to explain that she could do some things similar, but it may not look the same. Alex originally gave me a very brassy, non-blended balayage which I was really unhappy with and not at all like the pictures I showed her. I went back to the salon a month later and Clara spent 3.5 hours fixing my hair by giving me low lights, high lights, and a GORGEOUS balayage. She gave me a nice trim, carefully toned the hair and took her time to make it look absolutely beautiful and exactly what I wanted.
